Starting November 7th and lasting through November 15th, you can get your copy of Arceus at participating Toys'R'Us stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Like other event Pokémon distributions this generation, Arceus will be distributed via Mystery Gift. You can get one copy of Arceus for each copy of Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum you own. According to Bulbanews, bringing the Arceus to the the Ruins of Alph in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver later on will allow players to unlock an event that will allow them to obtain a level 1 Dialga, Palkia or Giratina. The Arceus itself will be level 100 in a Cherish Ball, holding a Rowap Berry, and know the moves Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Shadow Force, and Judgement. Learn more about the event on Pokémon.com or about Arceus' use in battle, and discuss on the forum. ~darkie The Latest ScoopPosted on Oct 18, 2009 01:45PM

Upgraded ForumsWe've just upgraded the Smogon Community forums to vBulletin v3.8.4, the latest version of vBulletin. Aside from various internal improvements, the main change you will probably notice is the new user profiles. It is now possible to leave visitor messages on other users' profiles. These can be used to carry out conversations, to thank users for quality work, and so on. However, the forum rules apply to visitor messages: in particular, do not troll people through visitor messages. Everybody can moderate his or her own visitor messages in order to remove objectionable messages. Another new feature is the ability to create and join social groups, which can also be done through user profiles. Please enjoy using the latest version of the forum software! Smogon on YouTubeSmogon University is now on YouTube! This account will be used to display important recorded matches, commentaries, and possibly even video tutorials. This is project started off from a suggestion for battlers to view old Tournament battles that may have been missed and showcased fun, interesting battles. Support for the idea was fairly strong and so here we are now. For the time being, however, we are going to upload mostly well-known, showcase battles. For more information, see thread. C&C UpdateAs you may have heard, Contributions and Corrections will be undergoing a major reconstruction. The forum will be reorganized, made more efficient, and improved. This will make updates and other such projects less of a hassle and easier for all of us! Since my last update, ages ago, the following analyses have been majorly edited on site:
