It is useful for countering defensive stat boosters, as the critical hits ignore the boosts. However, defensive stat boosters are few and far between in the current metagame, lowering the need for Frost Breath. Related MovesIce Beam is a more reliable attack with 95 Base Power, but doesn't guarantee a critical hit. Blizzard is an alternative with 120 Base Power as well and has 70% accuracy, but doesn't guarantee a critical hit. Storm Throw is a physical Fighting-type equivalent. |
