Pokemon with the abilities Insomnia or Vital Spirit are immune. Competitive UseLovely Kiss is rarely seen, as it has extremely low distribution. On Pokemon that do learn it, such as Jynx, Lovely Kiss is a somewhat reliable method of inducing sleep. Related MovesSing is a less accurate Normal-type equivalent. Hypnosis is a Psychic-type equivalent. Sleep Powder is a Grass-type equivalent. GrassWhistle is a less accurate Grass-type equivalent. Dark Void is a more accurate Dark-type equivalent that hits both Pokemon in double battles. Spore is a much more accurate Grass-type equivalent.
