DescriptionDeals damage. If used on a Pokemon in the "invulnerable state" of the move Dig, its Base Power doubles. In a double or triple battle, this move will hit all Pokemon adjacent to the user. If it hits multiple Pokemon in this way, its Base Power is reduced to 75% of its usual power. Attacks on multiple Pokemon are considered separate attacks, so the move may hit one Pokemon but fail to hit another. Although a physical move, this move does not make contact with the opponent. The Base Power of this move is calculated according to its Magnitude, which is a randomly assigned value according to the following probabilities:
Competitive UseMagnitude has little competitive use. While it has the potential to outdamage Earthquake, it can also be much weaker. This unreliability makes it a poor choice for competitive play. Related MovesEarthquake is a more reliable option. |
