Description

Deals damage. If this move is used on a sleeping target, its Base Power doubles. However, the target also wakes up immediately.

Competitive Use

Wake-Up Slap has almost no competitive use. Sleep is one of, if not the, most valuable status in the game. Wake-Up Slap, however, gets rid of that status. Furthermore, there is only one Pokemon capable of reliably sleeping the opponent then using Wake-Up Slap, Breloom, which has much better moves at its disposal, such as Drain Punch or Focus Punch.
