If it misses, it does 1/2 the damage that would have been done to the user. If it hits a Ghost, it damages the user 1/2 the damage that would have been done if the target were not a Ghost. If the target uses Detect or Protect, it does 1/2 the damage that would have been done to the user. Jump Kick's miss damage is capped at 1/2 the target's max HP.
