Doubles in power if the target switches, and hits them before they can escape. Hits a faster Pokémon using U-turn for double damage as well, but has normal power if the Pokémon using U-turn is slower. Never gets boosted damage against a Pokémon using Baton Pass. If a Pokemon switches out and is fainted by Pursuit, then the trainer who switched out must reselect a switch, and can pick any Pokemon that isn't fainted.
