Snatch

Steals the effects of an opponent's move and prevents them from using that move. PP for the Snatched move will be deducted from the Pokemon who selected that move normally. Snatch works when the foe uses one of the following moves.

  • All self-affecting stat ups (including Belly Drum and Defense Curl, but excluding Curse)
  • Aromatherapy
  • Camouflage
  • Charge
  • Heal Bell
  • Heal Order
  • Ingrain
  • Light Screen
  • Milk Drink
  • Mist
  • Moonlight
  • Morning Sun
  • Psych Up
  • Recover
  • Reflect
  • Refresh
  • Rest
  • Roost
  • Safeguard
  • Slack Off
  • Softboiled
  • Stockpile
  • Substitute
  • Swallow
  • Synthesis

Snatch will take the first "Snatchable" move used and not attempt to Snatch any others.

If two Pokémon use Snatch on the same turn, the faster Pokémon will Snatch the first Snatchable move, then the slower Pokémon will Snatch that move from the faster Snatcher, meaning only the slowest Snatcher on the field will get the bonuses from whatever is being Snatched.

If a Pokémon Snatches Psych Up, Psych Up will target whichever Pokémon used Psych Up. The user of Psych Up loses only 1 PP if the target has Pressure and Snatches the move.
