Yeah, it's a shame how the population of chess players seems to be shrinking :P

Hmm... I might have to give it a try once Showdown gets full simulator support for it. I've thought about making the switch to Chess, but i havent found anyone who would want to play it with me.

I don't think the VGC metagame has really shifted a whole lot. The only thing I've noticed is the occasional Landorus-T and Thundurus-T, and neither of them are nearly as scary as the Incarnate formes, which doesn't allow either of them a lot of play. I haven't noticed too many of the move tutor moves being taken advantage of either.

In my experience with that style of battle, it seems to be a lot more forgiving when hax happens. It's very easy to come back due to the nature of Protect and surprising items.

I have literally no experience in VGCs, but I think my problems with Singles arent going to change much to doubles. (Critical Hits, Hax, Team Matchup determines most matches, etc.)

What do you think of the current VGC metagame?

It all depends. Its really time intensive to do it all by myself when I throw college and work into the mix, but I've thought about going back. I dont really like the current metagame much either, which makes working on this kind of stuff even less motivating. In fact, Idk why I am really doing Smogon Tournament #9 beyond the fact that Im trying to get back into this game but its kind of hard.

All right, thanks! By the way, any thoughts of going back to making content?

So when I was actually still making content I screen recorded the battles with software called Screenflow. If your friend is on a PC, a program called Camtasia Studio works just as well. Once the battle is screen recorded, edit it in whatever video editing software your friend is familiar with. I used Final Cut Pro 7 simply because I have done other editting intensive things in the past, but you don't really need software that powerful for something like this.

I have a friend that's interested in casting pokemon battles, but he doesn't know what software to use. What did you use for StrategiCentre?
