That said, I really hate to break it to you, but I'd say that Sandslash really is a mediocre Pokemon. I honestly would only ever use it if its typing benefited my team in some way. Its physical bulk is pretty much average at best, so most physical attackers usually 2HKO it. Don't even get on that special defense. Also, from my experience, it rarely, if ever, gets a chance to spin, and in most games it usually does nothing except set up rocks, which multiple Pokemon do better. Really, when it comes down to the five Pokemon in RU capable of spinning, Sandslash is arguably the worst of the bunch.
