Wait, I'm really confused. What's the difference between killing the metagross and the porygon then?

    >.> I'm sorry I'm no use at all.

If it helps, try calculations with the Magnet item as well (they give +4 BAP to all Electric moves), specifically for Garde and Rotom.

And there is no such thing as Gymax's Quest. :P I think you're confusing the name from the Legacy of the Old Gods quest where you obtain the Paragon of Gygax. Unfortunately for us, the quest can only be cleared if we play the raid under Hard Mode rules.

This is the raid in question where Engi and Dogfish focused fire on the batteries which revealed the Pory2. This is probably the only raid that did this as all prior ones simply focused on the Metagross.

Here is the list of all the quests for the Isle of Lost Relics expansion if you're wondering. If there's any more questions, be sure to send them my way. :]

I'll run some calculations. It would be best if we can destroy the batteries in one round (or two, if Gardevoir takes that time to set up screens?).

Where was the raid that went with plan a (this is gymax's quest, correct)? I can't seem to find it...

Okay Orcinus. After thinking about this for the last few days, I got two plans for the Central Processing Raid.

    Plan A:
Bring Infernape and Rotom-H and I'll use Blaziken and Gardevoir.

For the first encounter, we'll be fighting two Beldums. For the second encounter, we'll fight two Beldums and a Metang.

From here, we'll just attack the Beldums using our Fire attacks. Rotom-H can use Overheat every few rounds. One usage won't cripple its damage, however several of them in a short time will definitely make a difference.

Once we get to Metagross, that's where the raid takes an interesting turn.

One of Metagross' signature moves is Hammer Drop, which is essentially a Ground-typed Rock Blast that lowers the target's Speed by one stage. This is the main reason why I had a hard time planning for this raid - the best type of Pokemon to use (Fire) is also the same type that's difficult to plan around.

There's also two batteries on the sides, each with 75 HP and 3 Def/SpD. The batteries can only be harmed by Electric attacks as far as I know.

From here, I'm planning on targeting the batteries with our Pokemon use our Electric attacks to damage and destroy them. Infernape/Blaziken can use Thunderpunch, while Rotom-H/Gardevoir can use Thunderbolt/Thunder/Discharge/Volt Switch.

Once the batteries are gone, that reveals a Porygon2. Once its released, the raid objectives now shift to defeating the Porygon2 instead of the Metagross.

Now, I don't know how much HP the Porygon2 has since only one raid has ever done this plan successfully. However, it's safe to say it has much less than 400 HP (since the Pory2 in Central Processing Hard Mode has 400 HP).

From there, we just focus fire on the Porygon 2 and wipe it out.

    Plan B:
For this plan, it involves wailing away the Metagross encounters with just pure Fire offense. As a result, bring Ninetails and Charizard and I'll use Blaziken and Togekiss.

The plan goes the same as before - just use pure Fire offense on the Beldums, the Metang & Beldums, and the Metagross. It's a lot simpler than the plan above. I chose Charizard and Togekiss since they can evade Hammer Drop which is a huge headache to plan against.

Tell me what you think about these two plans. If you have any questions about either of them or have any suggestions of your own, send them over my way. :)

You know we could try gymax's quest (or whatever that's called)?

And well, I am very free to chance Pokemon. I have a wide variety to choose from. :)

I'm just concerned about blazikens energy loss from speed. Boost.

Hey Orcinus, sorry for the late response; I was scouting out CP and RS. I was originally planning on doing Cliff of Thunder and was going to ask you if you wanted to do that raid first, but I don't see any objections on going to Central Processing.

I don't see any significant problems with Blaziken/Mollux/Rotom-H. I was thinking of using a Sun team to maximize damage output against the Metagross trio anyway.

I do have some issues though. Mollux will take damage due to Dry Skin while Rotom-H can't spam Overheat, it's sole Fire attack, however it can use its Electric moves to destroy the batteries and draw out Porygon-2.

As for my Pokemon, I don't know if Rotom-H might be a good choice. As I said before, it can't spam Overheat without suffering a severe SpA drop. Lord Jesseus used it in CP though, so I'll go check over and see.

As for Raging Shore, I don't know if anyone beaten that raid yet. I was planning on getting Magenzone ready for that one though. :P

If there's any more questions, send them over my way.

    hey bud

So I was looking at raids and talking to engi. Basically, I want to do central processing now, and do raging shore later (it's not that hard! :O)

Anyways, for central processing, I'm thinking about bringing mollux/rotom-h. You have a blaziken that could do well, but you sort of need a third pokemon. Could you buy a rotom-h by any chance? Might cost a bit, but would serve us very well in CP and in RS.

I saw. Well done for exploiting 4x weaknesses with me. :3

We can discuss our next raid later. Not right now though; today is a stressful day and the first thing I want to do is sleep. xD
