I can play over the weekend, my timezone is GMT which could make it a little trickey. I'll try and camp on irc over this weekend so hopefully we can get this done!

I was wondering when you wanted to play, I'm GMT -8 and should be good to go whenever my comp isn't acting retarded

Yea Yang is pretty cool I've tried picking him up lately, and yea timing is strict but thats a lot of what fighting games are about. I play on PS3 since my 360 got red ring years ago.

I've been testing out Yang for a few days with now, he is pretty fun to use! I love diving kicking and punishing random fireball spammers with an EX dragon kick! I actually manage to complete arcade mode on normal - first time I have completed it with anyone :D
I've read up on FACD also but its a little to advanced for me, the timings are so strict, maybe its just my thumbs! Do you play on PS3 or 360?
-
Yea timing is a huge part of it, it's something you get by playing more. Some of the trails do feel really hard too lol, I haven't finished anyone's completely because I can't FADC into a combo

Ah thanks!
I've been doing arcade mode on normal, trying to find a character that I like, so far I like using Dudley, Cammy, Evil Ryu and Juri. I think I just have to get used to the move timings and work on my blocking! When I went online it seemed like everyone I faced where able to read 99% of my moves and block accordantly.
Also, I swear some of the player trails are near on impossible to do.....
-
I'm not sure I'm the best to ask but what I did was just progress naturally, doing trials/harder modes on arcade and eventually online and you just pick things up, I'm use Ken most and he doesn't have like a huge amount of different combos so remembering things becomes easier using him, character does matter and idk if I'd go with someone like Yun or Yang while picking the game up

:O you play Street fighter! I picked up SF IV AE last week as it was going cheap BUT I keep getting my ass kicked!
Do you have any tips on how I can improve? I've been trying to learn some simple character combos and been doing the trails mode but I just don't seem to be getting any better ):
