Oh, I didn't play the game that much yet, I'll wait a bit more for the translation project I guess ._. but so far, the plot seems very good: my favorite thing about the Investigations series is how the whole plot connects progressively. The new "logic chess" gameplay is also nice, a lot more entertaining than Phoenix's Magatama. And of course, a bunch of old characters for the nostalgia factor, even that puppy Missile, lol (albeit the Missile from Ghost Trick is waaaay cooler)

Oh god your taste in gaming is incredible. 999 is my favorite visual novel game too (the ace attorney games aren't too far behind though...) So you got a copy of GK2 eh? I was super bummed that it wasn't going to get a US release. Whats it like so far? (no spoilers!)

Yep! 999 is pretty much my favorite visual novel for DS and I played all the AA games. btw I was trying to play Gyakuten Kenji 2 (which would be AA Investigations 2), but my japanese still sucks I guess, lol. Actually there is a fantranslation project at court-records, but they're still on chapter 1 ):
