I looked in your guide for how to abuse Wondercards (The Mew event that started today for HG/SS), but I couldn't find one. Am I missing it somewhere?

Yes, you can do it that way. HGSS abuse is very very easy. It's worth your time to check my guides, really. It's easier than DPPt because there are so many ways to check which frame you're on and which delay, etc. It might seem complicated, but seriously, it's so much better than DPPt.

So I can save right in front of Latias and the SR for Nature/IVs (since I never learned to abuse in HG/SS)?

Uninstall and re-install, though time consuming, is a long-time standard of fixing weirdness in programs. :-)

Well, if you can't get it to stop seizing ROMs, you could uninstall java temporarily. Re-install your emulator to make sure it seizes control of the ROM, then reinstall Java.

Okay, I found Java in my Control Panel, but it isn't letting me see what programs it tries to run. It only shows me the programs it has successfully ran.

My computer is old school. I'm still working with WINDOWS 98.

Which windows are you operating in? On Windows 7, you can go into the control panel and remove the defaults on how files are opened. You can probably do that in earlier windows as well.
