I mean I know this is supposed to be about competitive battling, but I keep wondering what would happen if Hydreigon received a supportive ability like Salamence and Dragonite, and it seems like it could be a good discussion.

Yes, it is not definitive, which is why I did not just say "would be banned" and instead said "I have a feeling". Valuable expansion for discussion is possible. In fact, I wanted someone to disagree so that I could have a chance to state my case. You are the one who is stating your opinion as a fact.

It doesn't contribute because it's baseless conjecture with no valuable expansion for discussion, and it is indeed wrong. If Hydreigon magically retained all of its properties besides the Fighting-type weakness it still wouldn't be banned.
