spirited away is an anime movie lol? anime does not necessarily mean episodic. i consider all of ghibli / miyazaki anime, there's tonnes of anime movies! mind game is probably my favourite.

oh btw i've seen madoka too i'm just not a huge fan. found it trite when not in surrealistic battle scenes. i love shaft usually but they really just took it too far with the artistic pretentiousness.

nodame is the sweetest thing

kokoro connect is some good ass high school anime that just really hooks you in i mean wow

i've heard of kokoro connect and nodame cantabile, haven't watched either though. would you recommend them? although - madoka /is/ girly but that's not why i like it, lol, i like it because it's a ~deconstruction~ of the magical girl genre etc etc

also I thought spirited away was more of a movie not an anime..?
