With steam wallet I'm relatively sure you can just buy one weapon and then use the rest of the money on some of the cheaper games on steam. But it's totally your call.

Ah. The thing is, I'm unsure of what to get. With $5, I'm thinking of getting the Huo-Long Heater, Shortstop, and Widowmaker.

I bought the game through the Valve pack, the premium account with buying an item is helpful enough for trading and what have you. Just get a weapon that is cheap and looks cool.
