I told you I wasn't saying it was nearly as good as Aggron and the like, I'm just saying it's not terrible. Also, don't forget that even the above mentioned Pokemon do suffer, Aggron from its weaknesses to common types, and Sableye due to its less-than-stellar offenses.

Not even close. Aggron succeeds because weight mechanics give it a 20+ bap STAB move. Sableye succeed because of its ability to basically pik whether it goes first or second, and its wide coverage movepool (and pseudoimmunity to Metal Burst and Damagin Evasive moves)

While Tinted Lens may be useful in ASB (speed boost actually kinda sucks), relying on a 9 BAP stab as basically your only way to damage anything (no coverage x_x), even if it's always neutral, will not be winning you many fights, with those stellar 2/2 (or 3/1) defenses and a weakness set like fire/ice/elec/rock/fly.

I find your lack of faith disturbing. The definition of good or bad wavers within the CAP ASB system, as you are well aware. Look at Aggron, or Sableye. Pokemon who aren't oft used in the upper tiers, but have unique traits in ASB that make them successful. Yanmega has a similar set of traits. I'm not saying that it'll be the next big thing, just interesting to use.
