    I actually have never heard of any of those before, I can see your cuisine has a lot of flavor though.

    I don't know what a teppanyaki restaurant is but the price sounds reasonable enough; do you guys use the dollar though? Or did you just make a stimate?
    [S] I still live with my parents[s] lol

    anyway, all those are local so they're really very cheap as well, but there's so much variety that there's a huge range of prices you can get good food in sg (I spent like S$80 for two at a teppanyaki restaurant for dinner yesterday, it was so good x__x)

    lmfao, tldr foodrant. sorry <3

    as for where im staying, im renting a room in a flat. the people are nice, plus it's like walking distance from my workplace, so no complaints there!

    lol I'm like... where do I even begin !

    food in singapore is really cool because there's such a mishmash of culture - so like, most of the food has its basis in chinese / malay / indian / etc cuisine, so if you've tried that you probably have an idea (although it's definitely different enough. :p)

    as for specific recommendations uhhhhh, Hainanese chicken rice is probably the most must-try imo, other stuff probably include char kway teow (chinese rice flour noodles), nasi lemak (malay coconut rice), roti prata (indian pancake), laksa (curry noodles), fish head curry, black pepper crab - but I'm sure I missed out a lot XD heard of any of those? we do have stuff like steak and lamb chop and fish and chips, spaghetti, pizza hut etc, but tbh I didn't actually even know what stuff like tacos and burritos are until fairly recently >_<

    that's what I used to say before working there but being at 8 weddings a day, it gets old pretty fast. I don't think I've ever tried Singaporean food before, what would you recommend?

    where did you live while you were away?

    it's basically summer the whole year in sg so, not much is different in terms of that. food's good, I definitely missed that lol X)

    wow, that's cool, weddings are always such pretty affairs XD. that certainly sounds tough, but I'm sure there's lots of behind the scenes work that goes on at a wedding :< anyway, as long as you like the work, I suppose it can't be that bad!

    I work as a bridal attendant here in Long Island. The place is great and I get paid well, but the hours...it has been times where I work over 50 hours in a single weekend ;-;

    So you're currently in Singapore? nice! How is it over there?
