I was told a few things from a person which called himself/herself the "Guru of Gensokyoism." You shouldn't take things from fanon too seriously. Fanon created most of the character's own personalities and all, but that doesn't mean jack squat. For example, Kaguya Houraisan is considered a NEET in fanon. If someone prefers fanon over canon they are not a fan of the Touhou project. The reason why I'm telling you this? For fun and to help you a bit. By the way, don't spam Touhou fanon jokes! That doesn't make you a fan, it just annoys people!
