[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Blizzard
move 2: Surf
move 3: Hidden Power [Fire]
move 4: Brine / Toxic
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Ice Body
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

An excellent revenge killer on hail teams due to sheer surprise factor. Most opponents will expect Stallrein and will leave in their Grass-type pokemon in order to deal big damage and get surprise OHKO'd.

Blizzard is the primary move of choice due to STAB + high base power

What sets this set apart from Glaceon is the bulk and added Water typing. Bulk allows Walrein to get in safer to revenge kill dangerous threats. Water-type STAB allows Walrein to hit Entei and Moltres

Hidden Power [Fire] hits Escavalier switch ins and allows Walrein to revenge kill Durant that may have grabbed a boost.

Toxic hits switch ins that Walrein cannot do much damage to like Slowking and Cryogonal.

On the other hand, Brine is Water-type STAB that has 130 base power as long as the opponent is below 50%, making it ideal for late game clean ups alongside Blizzard.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Super Fang can be used to take off 50% of an opponents health on the switch in. However, most pokemon that this would be good for (Cryogonal, Slowking) can just Recover it off and will be more annoyed with Toxic.

Hidden Power [Grass] can be used to hit Kabutops, Omastar, and Lanturn switch ins.

Obviously needs Snover to work

Rapid Spinner is nice to spin away Stealth Rocks, since this Walrein set will be switching much more. Cryogonal fits well on Hail but also shares a lot of mutual weaknesses with Snover and Walrein. Kabutops is a rather sturdy Fire-type resist with the ability to revenge faster fires with Aqua Jet and spin much more consistently than Cryo overall

Requires a switch into Slowking and Cryo who can often come in for free if they predict right. Occa Berry Escavalier OHKOs both and can also get damage on them with Pursuit should they choose to flee

Why does this deserve to be on site? Most every user here who has tried Scarf Walrein will agree with me that it is an excellent bulky revenge killer who also has surprise factor

Nature: Naughty
Fighting type: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw. Superior reaction time in close quarters.
Steel type:Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.
Abilities:
Inner Focus:
Type: Innate
When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Steadfast:
Type: Innate
If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases Speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This Speed boost is maintained at the end of each round.

Justified:
Type: Innate
This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. A boost gained this way by another Pokemon's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts.
Rock: Rock STAB; reduce damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.

Abilities:
Levitate: (Innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.
Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally deal 6 or below base damage to have their base damage multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) damage, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2).
Mold Breaker (DW): (Innate) Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)

Meowth that's right

QC approvals: [1/3] [iss, ---, ---]
GP approvals: [0/2] [---, ---]

~Holy shit the old analysis is so outdated
~It really got nothing from BW2- other than Covet, which deserves a mention, as it hits for decent power and can steal the Eviolites of walls
~The set itself looks good to me, but its descriptions need some beefing up, which I'll work on

[Overview]

Although it's attack stat is not very outstanding at all, Technician lets Meowth retain its one niche from last Gen- a Fake Out hit and runner

Meowth's only outstanding stat is its Speed- but that's enough to make it still useful. 90 Speed outspeeds pretty much all of the metagame except a select few Pokemon, and with Fake Out and U-Turn, Meowth can hit hard and pivot out quickly

However, Meowth sucks in almost every other regard

It's extremely frail and is weak to priority, and its attack stat really isn't anything to bet on

Even its niche faces tough competition- other Fake Outers such as Mienfoo or Croagunk posses greater power and bulk

Despite this, its strong Fake Out and high Speed make Meowth a useful pivoter and revenge killer

[SET]
set name: Physical Attacker
move 1: Fake Out
move 2: U-Turn
move 3: Return / Covet
move 4: Bite / Taunt
item: Life Orb / Normal Gem
ability: Technician
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 76 Def / 192 Spe
ivs: 0 HP

[SET COMMENTS]

Meowth uses Technician to boost its attacks in a physical attacking set

Technician is essential for this set's success, as it boosts the power of Meowth's attacks and covers up for its relatively low Attack stat

Technician boosted Fake Out is what makes this set shine- hitting a 117 Base Power after STAB, Technician, and Life Orb, or a solid 135 Base Power when boosted by Normal Gem

U-Turn comes next, letting Meowth pivot out after using its Fake Out. This embodies the hit and run strategy, as Meowth can often escape unscratched due to its high speed.

The next two moves are dependent on what Meowth is supposed to do.

Return lets Meowth hit its opponents with as much power as possible- and although it's not boosted by Technician, it is still the most powerful move in Meowth's arsenal

Covet is an interesting choice for Meowth if it runs a Normal Gem. After getting rid of its item with Fake Out, it can use Covet to steal the item (often an Eviolite) off of walls, functioning as a powerful 'Knock Off' that often gives Meowth a useful new item, such as an Eviolite or a Life Orb. Also, it's almost as powerful as Return, so Meowth won't lose out in power

Bite in the last slot hits Ghost-types. It gets Technician boosted to a base power of 90, which is enough to hit many Ghost- and Psychic- types for the OHKO or 2HKO.

Taunt can also be used to prevent opposing Pokemon from setting up in the presence of Meowth.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EVs first concentrate on Meowth's Speed, since it needs to outspeed as many opponents as possible so it can avoid as many attacks as possible.

Then, Meowth's attack stat is maxxed out. This gives it as much power as possible.

The remaining leftover EVs go into Defense so Meowth can take weak hits when necessary.

Meowth's item depends on which moves it uses. If one chooses to use Return, a Life Orb is recommended, as it provides Meowth with a sizeable boost in its attack damage.

If one does use a Life Orb, 0 HP Ivs are also recommended, as it lowers Life Orb recoil to only 1 HP.

If one chooses to use Covet, a Normal Gem should be used, as it lets Meowth 'get rid of' its item while also boosting the power if its initial Fake Out.

Because of Meowth's hit and run playstyle, it enjoys the accompaniment of hazards and other more defensive pivoters, as well as Pokemon that can take down its walls

Magnemite gets a mention as it can form a VoltTurn core with Meowth and trap Steel-types that wall Meowth. It can also hit Rock-types hard with Flash Cannon.

Larvesta is also a good partner, as it can sponge Fighting-type moves for Meowth, pivot with U-Turn, and tackle Steel-types with Flare Blitz

Fighting-types are often great partners as they can remove Steel-types and Rock-types with their Fighting-type STAB.

Mienfoo can tackle steel- and rock- types, it can sponge some Fighting-type moves, and can form a dual pivoting and Fake Out core to annoy the opponent.

Ground-types are also often great partners.

Drilbur and Hippopotas can both set Stealth Rock and hit Rock- and Steel-types super effectively with Earthquake.

Drilbur and Baltoy can also spin away entry hazards that annoys Meowth's pivoting process

[Other Options]

Meowth does not have many other options.

It does get Hypnosis, which it can use over a coverage move, but the low accuracy is unappealing, especially since a miss can often mean death due to Meowth's paper thin defenses

Hone Claws is also useable, and can boost the accuracy of Hypnosis, but Meowth's defenses are in no way bulky enough to buy it much time for setup

A Nasty Plot set with moves such as Swift or a Base 60 Hidden Power could also work, but would not work very well for the same reason as Hone Claws

[Checks and Counters]

Because of Meowth's tendency to U-Turn a lot, it could be hard to fully trap and take down

Steel-types, Rock-types, and bulky Ghost-types are Meowth's worst nightmare.

All don't really care about Fake Out or Meowth's Normal-type STAB, and can often hit it for a lot of damage due to its frailty

Ferroseed is a great counter to Meowth. Not only does it resist Meowth's Normal-type STAB, but it can also punish Meowth's attacks with Iron Barbs, and set hazards to damage Meowth every time it switches in

Magnemite is a good check as well. It easily sponges Meowth's attacks and can hit it hard with powerful special attacks. It can also pivot in the face of a U-Turn switch in and grab momentum for its team.

Bronzor is a good answer too. It can hit Meowth hard with Gyro Ball, but it doesn't like getting its item taken away

Bulky ghost types such as Frillish or Misdreavus are good checks because they can sponge a Bite or two and reply by crippling or hitting Meowth hard

Things that are bulky and also faster, such as Murkrow or Pontya, can outspeed Meowth and take it down before it U-Turns

Fighting-types such as Timburr or Machop with priority Fighting-type STAB can take down Meowth in one swift move

Little Room

After making my first RMT, I stopped playing Little Cup for a while. I recently read something that mentioned Trick Room in Little Cup and I was inspired to make on myself. So far I've found the team to be pretty successful, but I feel that it still needs more improvement. My knowledge of LC is pretty limited, so here I am! Here's the team:

Croagunk

Croagunk @ Eviolite
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 212 HP / 144 SAtk / 116 SDef / 36 Def
Modest Nature

Vacuum Wave

Sludge Bomb

Shadow Ball

Nasty Plot

This is the member of the team I'm least sure of. I figured the team needed a user of priority, and Croagunk was the first thing to come to me. When I saw that Croagunk learned Nasty Plot I decided to go for it. I feel like this pokemon could really be replaced, or atleast changed significantly moveset wise. Vacuum Wave and Sludge Bomb are for obvious STAB attacks, and Shadow Ball is to give perfect neutral coverage coupled with Vacuum Wave. I opted for a bulkier set just because I didn't see the need to have speed on it, especially since it has access to Vacuum Wave.

Solosis

Solosis @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 240 SAtk / 252 HP
Quiet Nature

Psyshock

Shadow Ball

Hidden Power [Fighting]

Trick Room

Trick Room setter #1, and I've found Solosis to be a very valuable member to this team. Magic Guard is such a useful thing to have at your disposal, especially against stall teams relying on residual damage. It's move set is standard Trick Room stuff, but it is very effective and powerful. I would like to be able to fit recover onto this thing, I really don't think I can sacrifice any of it's moves.

Rhyhorn

Rhyhorn @ Eviolite
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 236 HP / 236 Atk / 36 SDef
Brave Nature

Earthquake

Rock Blast

Aqua Tail

Stealth Rock

Rhyhorn is a huge asset to this team, and provides it much some great bulk and power. Rhyhorn's EdgeQuake coverage is indispensable to the team, especially thanks to Rhyhorn's high attack stat. Aqua Tail is for opposing Ground types, but I'm thinking that it's not very useful and could be replaced. Rhyhorn is also the team's Stealth Rock user, which is always important to have. Rhyhorn is my main physical Trick Room sweeper, and it does it's job very well.

Natu

Natu @ Eviolite
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 200 HP / 156 SAtk / 76 SDef / 76 Def
Quiet Nature

Psyshock

Giga Drain

Roost

Trick Room

Trick Room setter #2, and an important support pokemon to this team. Natu's great ability Magic Bounce is very useful for keeping entry hazards off the side of my field, but Natu is also useful for dealing with status users or Leech Seeders. I decided for a bulky offensive set just to deal some more damage, but I'm wondering if a more defensive set would be better. Psyshock for STAB coverage and Giga Drain to hit Ground & Rock types which usually will be trying to set up Stealth Rocks.

Yamask

Yamask @ Oran Berry
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 216 HP / 160 SAtk / 80 SDef
Quiet Nature

Shadow Ball

Hidden Power [Fighting]

Nasty Plot

Trick Room

The team's final Trick Room setter, and the team's best way to deal with Fighting types. Yamask deals pretty nice damage, especially after getting a Nasty Plot up. I chose Oran Berry just because it was the suggested item on Yamask's Smogon analysis, but I feel like that might not be the most optimal option. Shadow Ball and HP Fighting give it perfect neutral coverage, enabling it to hit every pokemon in the metagame.

Munchlax

Munchlax @ Eviolite
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 SDef
Brave Nature

Return

Earthquake

Fire Punch

Pursuit

Munchlax is the team's best/only real answer to Misdreavus, especially if Missy has gotten a Nasty Plot. Munchlax's great special bulk and access to Pursuit make it a great way to deal with the Ghosts and Psychic types of the tier, while still maintaining offensive pressure. I really feel like Munchlax should stay on the team, but I'm wondering if a different EV spread would be better for it.

I'd love any input I can get on this team, especially on Croagunk's slot in the team. Thanks!

This discussion will be lightly moderated to ensure it is focused.

So recently there's been a lot of discussions about gyms in IRC, and how undefined a lot of facets of the more administrative side of gyms is. Thus, we're coming to the community, to ask what you want to see explained or implemented into the ASB Gym League.

Some of the issues have been raised before, and have indeed occurred before. However, the main questions were:

What is the protocol for challenging a leader for their gym position?

What should happen to inactive gym leaders?

What should happen if a gym leader is disqualified from a match?

Some of these have answers that have been proposed, some do not.

Right now, the gym committee and the council all want a solution that a number of people agree upon. Therefore, we're asking people to raise concerns about the system if not already mentioned, and offer any ideas for how any concern should be handled.

tl;dr

1. Post concerns you have about gym and the gym process and administration.
2. Discuss said issues for relevance and clarity.
3. Propose solutions and look for agreement.
4. ???
5. The gym committee will convene and discuss all issues at hand and come to resolutions on the issues, these resolutions going into effect immediately.

Have at it and stay focussed!

There will be no need for a voting thread for this topic.

I had left out quite a bit of information in the previous thread, so here it is again completely revised. As stated before, I have found some issues with certain common threats that I occasionally find a solution for, but even then, my team could use some observations and recommendations. My team currently consists of:

Garchomp @Choice Scarf
EVS: 252 ATK/252 SPE/4 HP
Nature: Jolly

-Dual Chop
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast

The infamous Scarfchomp. I had previously used other Dragon type Pokemon in OU mainly Salamence, and occasionally Dragonite, but neither have had quite a successful run as Garchomp has. Garchomp was previously used as an offensive Stealth Rocker, which did work for the most part, but was sadly outsped by other Scarf users (mainly Keldeo, Salamence and Terrakion), and all variants of Latios and Latias. I decided on this set mainly just to bring back something that had been seen quite often before, that had always worked for me with other Pokemon. Combined with Garchomp's unique typing, and overall great stats, it has usually always find a spot on my teams in the past.

Volcarona @Lum Berry
EVS: 252 SPE/ 252 SP ATK/ 4 SP DEF
Nature: Modest

-Quiver Dance
-Fiery Dance
-Bug Buzz
-Giga Drain

Volcarona had been an addition I had to take some time to truly decide on adding. I however, am actually quite glad that I made the choice to use it over the other few Fire types in OU. Infernape was my first choice for a quick mixed attacker, but sadly, I had found myself outsped and outmached by many commonly seen Water types in the tier (Keldeo, Starmie, Cloyster). Latios and Latias also provided several problems for it, ranging from outspeeding it, to attacking with a boosted Surf, or STAB Draco Meteor. With that being said, Volcarona has proven to be an incredibly effective member of my team, even with a huge weakness to Stealth Rock, and being vulnerable to all forms of entry hazards. Quiver Dance has provided me the ability to outspeed and usually OHKO the previously stated threats, with the exception of Scarf users. However, even then, after reaching +2 in both special stats, and speed, Volcarona has found its way around these threats.

Ferrothorn @Shed Shell
EVS: 252 HP/ 88 DEF/ 168 SP DEF
Nature: Relaxed

-Spikes
-Leech Seed
-Power Whip
-Thunder Wave

With the choice of ditching valuable Leftover recovery, for an easy and quick escape from Magnezone and Dugtrio, Shed Shell Ferrothorn, has proven to be an effective asset while paired with Jellicent. I had some difficulty choosing between Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Forretress for an effective defensive Steel type, and ultimately decided on Ferrothorn. With the other two having their effective assests, the former having reliable recovery and phazing capabilities, and the latter being a durable Spinner, Ferrothorn's typing and overall bulk seems to be the most useful for my team at the moment. The only incredibly obivous problems would be essentially every Fire type in the tier, and quick Fighting type attackers (Usually Breloom, Terrakion, and especially Infernape). With that being said, Ferrothorn's niche in my team hasn't changed in the slightest, serving as an effective sponge to take on Outrages and Draco Meteors, and counter virtually every Water type in the tier. Setting up Spikes has always easy for it, but its pitiful Speed is what usually brings it down to a knockout.

Jellicent @Leftovers
EVS: 252 HP/ 36 DEF/ 220 SP DEF
Nature: Calm

-Toxic
-Scald
-Shadow Ball
-Recover

I absolutely love this thing. As the most effective Special Wall I have ever used (even after using Blissey and Eviolite Chansey) Jellicent's incredibly unique typing, well distributed stats, overall bulk, and ability to spinblock while sponging Water type attacks, has paved the way to place it onto a permanent spot on my team. Jellicent's only problems have been obviously powerful Electric type attackers, (Jolteon, Thundurus-T, and occasionally Magnezone), and some variants of Keldeo. Faster Special attackers such as Starmie and Gengar, also prove to be irritatingly annoying, even with their frail defenses. Breloom will almost always cause a problem, even with Ferrothorn being around to take Bullet Seed. Volcarona may step in to absorb Spore and heal it off with a Lum Berry, but even then, prediction is my greatest enemy. Tyranitar and Scizor will usually switch in to hit with a Pursuit, but these are usually easy to predict. Jellicent has been one of my favorite Pokemon to use, and with its amazing ability in Water Absorb, several matches with Rain teams, if not all, have ended in rage quitting, and victory in my favor.

Donphan @Leftovers
EVS: 252 HP/ 252 DEF/ 4 SPE
Nature: Impish

-Rapid Spin
-Earthquake
-Superpower
-Stealth Rock

Donphan wasn't originally my first choice for a Spinner. After shifting from Forretess, and even attempting to use Tentacruel at one point, Donphan has somewhat found a way to fit in. I had previously used Ice Shard in place of Superpower, but I had found it to be inconsistent, and found Superpower as the a stronger move to use. Setting up Stealth Rock has always been pretty easy for Donphan considering its great physical bulk, typing, and handiness in Sturdy, but special attacks are a huge threat. Most special attackers will have to deal with Jellicent and usually don't succeed in taking it down, but Gengar has been the largest threat to both of said Pokemon. Even then, I have found a way for Donphan to be successful most of the time.

Jolteon @Choice Specs
EVS: 252 SP ATK/ 252 SPE/ 4 DEF
Nature: Timid

-Volt Switch
-Thunderbolt
-Signal Beam
-Hidden Power Ice

Jolteon is basically the reverse of Jellicent. With its fantastic speed stat, and great special attack, along with Volt Absorb to take on other Jolteons, and BoltBeam users (Starmie obviously), Jolteon has been incredibly effective asset. I've only found issues with Scarfchomp's considering Earthquake easily KO's Jolteon, and especially an issue with Mamoswine, but aside from the previously listed threats, Ground types are usually not a challenge for Jolteon. Rain Teams are always an easy task for Jolteon, OHKOing some commonly seen Pokemon with a STAB Thunderbolt, but some Pokemon, namely Thundurus-T, Ferrothorn, and Jirachi, are always around the corner. Prediction is also a crucial factor for using Jolteon, considering how frail it is. The slightest mistake in prediction usually results in a KO from an Earthquake from a powerful threat. However, Jolteon can always usually find a way to escape with its life.

-Mamoswine was a Pokemon I had considered using before, and although its STAB Life Orb boosted Ice Shard easily KO'ed usually every Dragon type Pokemon that came around (After Stealth Rock, and with the exception of Kyurem-B), I decided on dropping it from my team for Donphan.

-If anyone has any helpful tips, I'd be glad to hear them, I'm completely open to any recommendations. Stay Epic~

I noticed that Mew has no UU analyses, while being allowed in UU. This thread is to discuss some Mew options: Mew has an almost unlimited amount of options compared to average pokemon and I really feel there is a gem here that we can find.

The boosting moves it learns, together with baton pass:
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish
- Nasty Plot
- Bulk Up
- Calm Mind
- Iron Defense / Barrier
- Amnesia
- Work Up
- Hone Claws

It also learns stealth rock, synthesis/roost/softboiled, hypnosis, explosion, taunt, Will-O-Wisp as well as pseudo-boosting moves such as flame charge/charge beam. Block, reflect type, drain punch, fake out, sucker punch, dragon tail, reflect, light screen, foul play, endeavor, gravity, heal bell, hypnosis, knock off, low kick, magic coat, pain split, super fang, tailwind, volt switch and u-turn... the list really is nearly endless of things that at first seem rather stale, but perhaps we can find a combination that is effective. Therefor I'd like to use this topic for a the next best thing, but specifically for Mew in UU.

Some random theorymon to start off the topic (warning: sets may suck dick, just to get the ball rolling):

- Silver wind
- Ominous wind
- Ancientpower
- Baton pass

- Reflect type
- Sucker punch
- Drain punch
- X-scissor/softboiled

- Hone claws
- Gunk shot
- Dynamic punch
- Baton pass/Focus blast

- Knock off / Bulk up
- Dragon tail
- Rest
- Sleep talk
- http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/uu-19590786 <- in action

252 HP / 252 SpD+
- Foul play
- Will-O-Wisp
- Softboiled
- Taunt

252 Atk / 252 SpA

AQUArmada!

AQUArmada!

Often when I see a new idea I like, such as a new core, a creative moveset, or the like, it inspires the creation of a new team. By this point I had tested variations of Specially Defensive Salamence, with this team having a new one, and I also wanted to take Copycat Lucario for a spin, as well as the Tailwind + LO Kyurem-B combo. The other team members fell into place as a result.

Team building process:

I wanted to utilize a Copycat Lucario and Fighting Gem Politoed for surprise factor (i.e. sending LO Latios’s Draco Meteor right back at it) and to get the same power as Specs Focus Blast (once) for Ferrothorn while bluffing a choice item, respectively.

I had recently read about a Prankster Whimsicott Tailwind + LO Kyurem-B combination designed by another user, and wanted to test it. However, rather than Whimsicott, I used an original set, Specially Defensive Rain Salamence. I’m upset that Hydro Pump and Wish are illegal together.

I also wished to utilize Toxic Spikes, and Tentacruel came out as a clear winner, with double recovery under rain, setting my desired hazard, and spinning, which is very important since only 1 team member has recovery outside of Rain Dish/Leftovers/Black Sludge.

I also really wanted Stealth Rocks, as well as a reliable counter to Terrakion. Golurk gave me both in one shell, with great attacking power and confusion hax. Golurk also comes as a surprise to many since it is only NU.

As suggested by Rosez66, Me First replaced Copycat on Lucario to amplify the concept of "revenge killing," particularly against dragon-types.

Here is the team:

Politoed (M) @ Fighting Gem
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Focus Blast
- Surf
- Perish Song
- Protect

The rain-bringer itself, it’s Politoed! Politoed is a crucial part of my team, but not just for bringing rain. It can hit Ferrothorn with a Fighting Gem-boosted Focus Blast on the switch-in, which makes up for the absence of Choice Specs. Surf is used over Scald because this team is built partially around poisoning opponents, not burning them. Perish Song acts as a failsafe against set-up sweepers, and Protect stalls out these turns. This is part of why having entry hazards is so important. The EVs seem ideal considering Politoed is a semi-offensive semi-defensive Pokemon.

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SDef / 248 HP / 8 SAtk
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Hydro Pump
- Roost
- Tailwind

This is likely my favorite Pokemon on the team, because with the EV spread and ability, Salamence tanks hits incredibly well, better than most opponents check. Not including switches to remove Intimidate’s effect, it is almost impossible to OHKO Salamence with an unboosted move that is not a STAB Ice-type move. Generally Hidden Power Ice will come up short. Salamence can then Tailwind, Roost (bringing the 4x Ice weakness temporarily to a 2x weakness), and cycle through it until somebody is forced out (usually the opponent). Dragon Pulse was chosen as a STAB, and Hydro Pump was chosen as a coverage move as it gets a significant boost in rain. The combination was put together to avoid the need to go mixed, and most Salamence are physical anyway.

Salamence is also my Tailwind setter for Kyurem-B, that combo I mentioned earlier. Quite frankly, this rarely goes as planned, and Salamence more often uses Tailwind for itself rather than its teammates, but when needed, the Tailwind boost is much appreciated by Kyurem-B (and Golurk to a lesser extent).

NOTE: Wish is illegal with Hydro Pump; otherwise Wish would probably replace Roost.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Trait: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 104 HP / 16 SAtk / 136 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Fusion Bolt
- Outrage
- Ice Beam
- Zen Headbutt

Kyurem-B is my cleaner, having fantastic offensive power and coverage, and, when backed by Tailwind, becomes extremely fast as well. Fusion Bolt and Outrage are the two main moves, with the best power, destroying many opponents immediately if I predict correctly. Ice Beam is a secondary STAB that, in lieu of a viable physical Ice-type move, hits many physically defensive Pokemon very hard, especially Gliscor and Landorus-T. The progenitor of this set used HP Fire in the last slot, but I left that behind since this is a rain team (in my opinion, however, it is best outside of rain). I used Zen Headbutt to hit Fighting-types hard without resorting to Outrage, but otherwise it is filler. Earth Power may be a worthwhile substitution…

Tentacruel (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 240 Def / 252 HP / 16 Spd
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Venoshock
- Magic Coat

Tentacruel takes most non-super effective special attacks without much trouble, as its special bulk is supreme. Toxic Spikes and Magic Coat provide more defensive options, but be warned that Magic Coat takes very good prediction to use correctly, and is something I am still practicing. Still, bouncing back hazards (especially Spikes) is such a good feeling. With Toxic Spikes down, Tentacruel also beats Jellicent 1v1, as it can just bounce back Taunt and Will-o-Wisp, then stall it with Toxic damage. It will have to switch out eventually. Rapid Spin removes hazards from my side of the field, very important for Kyurem-B. Venoshock was used to abuse all the poisoned Pokemon that result from using Toxic Spikes, but is hardly used and could likely be replaced by Hydro Pump or Knock Off. Are there any ideas?

Lucario (M) @ Choice Scarf (originally a Life Orb)
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Hasty Nature
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop
- Bullet Punch
- Me First(originally Copycat)

This is an extremely unusual Lucario set, as Draco Meteors and Outrages and so forth are bounced right back at the opponent! I got the idea when another Smogon member proposed a Copycat set in “The Next Best Thing” for Samurott, and I am not utilizing it in a different animal. Bullet Punch is my source of priority, Cross Chop is STAB, and Ice Punch is for coverage against all the Pokemon weak to it in the tier (Dragons are everywhere after all). Copycat is the surprise factor of the set, returning attacks at the opponent’s surprise. Most of the time this is a Dragon-type move (Draco Meteor mostly) or an entry hazard, but the uses are as close to endless as it gets in Pokemon. Originally Lucario held a Life Orb, but it was too slow and frail to return attacks without it.

Golurk @ Leftovers
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 HP / 248 Def
Adamant Nature
- DynamicPunch
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Shadow Punch

Golurk is likely the most surprising member of the team, as it is in NU. However, it sets Stealth Rock up against many physically-based Pokemon, and its three-move coverage is incredible, including two powerful STABs from a Base 124 attack. Confusion is a major plus, giving me an easier time with checks and opposing weather starters. I could move more EVs to HP, but really, I don’t intend for Golurk to absorb special attacks, only physical ones. Golurk also destroys all standard Terrakion without much trouble, switching in on either STAB, or X-Scissor.

This team has gone through a good deal of testing, inquiry, revisions, wins, and losses, from Kyurem-B sweeps to Ferrothorn-Tentacruel stall wars. Please give me your feedback so this team can keep on frustrating and surprising opponents!

Ninetales @leftovers
252HP, 120Def, 136Spe (Timid)
-flamethrower
-will o wisp
-solarbeam
-sunny day

Well Ninetales is here for the obvious reason of setting up the sun! I've invested all of the EV's into bulk so he can survive more and help me win the weather war! I like the move set so far apart from solarbeam, I never really get to use it and when it does hit politoed it only does around 25%. Sunny day is for the predicted switch in's of other weather inducers and it works great! flamethrower is there for stab and does a decent chunk in the sun without any EV investment. Will o wisp is to catch incoming attackers mostly.

Victini @expert belt
4HP, 252Att, 252Spe (jolly)
-U turn
-V create
-Bold strike
-Brick break

Only started to use this guy and he's amazing! V-create in the sun just devastates basically everything! U-turn is for momentum and bolt strike and brick break are there for coverage and to deal big damage to TTar and politoed! Expert belt helps bluff the choice item and works a treat :D

Volcarona @sitrus berry
252SpA, 252Spe, 4SpD (modest)
-quiver dance
-giga drain
-fiery dance
-hidden power ice

My special sweeper! with the strategy where I bring him in, set up then try and sweep! Giga drain is there to help me get some HP back, fiery dance in the sun and +1 in special attack is awesome! hidden power ice is for any dragon switch ins and that annoying gliscor

Forretess @leftovers
252HP, 4Att, 252Def (relaxed)
-toxic spikes
-spikes
-volt switch
-rapid spin

Also a pretty standard set, he is my physical wall! toxic spikes and spikes are my hazards, rapid spin is to get rid of theirs and volt switch helps me get the momentum! I was thinking of getting rid of one of the spikes moves but i'm not sure witch or what for?:/ any ideas for maybe a different wall maybe?

Heatran @air balloon
252HP, 4SpA, 252SpD (Calm)
-stealth rocks
-roar
-earth power
-lava plume

Heatran is here as my special wall. Air balloon lets me switch in on earth moves and dodge earthquake! He also acts as my stealth rocker and always seems to have a good chance of setting them up. Roar is to get rid of anyone behind a sub or is setting up on me. lava plume and earth power for me to hit back hard! lava plume in the sun does great damage on anything that trys to switch in and a good chance of burning too! He is also great for taking any fire moves aimed towards my forretress and getting the boost!

latios @expert belt
4HP, 252SpA, 252Spe (timid)
-thunderbolt
-dragon pulse
-roost
-psyshock

Latios is kind of here just for coverage, he has a great movepool and can hit back hard and fast! I've the expert belt on him to try and bluff the scarf but does not always work. I was considering switching him but not sure what too...

Well thats my team so far and I'm only winning just over half of the matches ive played so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :D

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 212 SDef / 48 Spd
Gentle Nature
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Fire Blast

Specially defensive ttar is always one of the pokemon i go for when making teams. playing a wall, ability to set up rocks and even trap threats such as latios and latias accordingly makes this pokemon shine in my team. Sand stream allows me to get rid of rain and sun since both of those weather have abusers that can put holes in my team. this pokemon ev spread is design to outspeed either bulky scizor or choice banded scizor with no speed ev's, this pokemon has a gentle nature so i dont have to lower my speed or weaken my fire blast.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spd
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Thunderbolt
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind

This pokemon is probably weird to see in the metagame at this time. this old 4th gen / early 5th gen set is surprisingly well suited for this team of mines. wish to give my team some form of recovery and calm mind to help this pokemon go for late game sweeps. i gave it thunderbolt just to hit water types and to get neutral damage on to other steels, and it has psyshock to deal heavy damage to chansey and blissey, since they literally cannot touch this pokemon i can use them as the perfect setup fodder.
this pokemon is physically defensive only because i am going to be boosting my special defense all the time. this pokemon is also my wall towards dragons being a steel type with great bulk.

Stoutland (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Pursuit
- Fire Fang
- Superpower

After a few calculations this stoutland set outpseeds the entire meta scarfed or not. this pokemon can outspeed scarf latios by a bear minimum whiles the sand is up. With the remaining evs i drop them towards hp which adds a small amount of bulk towards this pokemon. stoutland plays as my revenge killer and late game sweeper. i opt for pursuit to trap alakazam or gengar that fear the crunch, fire fang is mainly for ferrothorn so i dont have to resort to superpower lowering my atk and def everytime i use it.

Keldeo (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Secret Sword
- Surf
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Now this monster right here is a great pokemon to this team and is majority of the time hard counter towards rain team. dealing a miminum 52% to tentacruel from hydro pump in the rain is quite a feet, seeing that tentacruel is really bulky. keldeo is my wall breaker and technically another pseudo physical hitter sending out banded secret swords at my opponent and then being able to send specs special attacks when needed the most.
i carry hp ice to easily ohko dragon types and give me some lee-way to deal with special defensive celebi.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 216 SDef / 40 Spd
Calm Nature
- Psychic
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Fire]

This pokemon plays a vital role in dealing with breloom and pretty much any rain team that stands in my way. once i send out a pokemon i deemed useless in the battle as sleep fodder i can safely send out my celebi to deal with it easily at anytime deal super effective damage to it no matter what i do. i carry the hp fire for steel types, and i chose baton pass over u-turn so i can dodge pursuits and still keep offensive momentum whiles doing so.

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

Last but not least sheer force landorus. the final power house behind this team legitimately destroying any team in the meta single handed, i run u-turn just for opposing celebis trying to swallow up the earth power or focus blast. u-turn also helps me to keep momentum in a match if i dont feel safe going for a earth power knowing they have counters like latias on their team. to be honest there isnt much i have to explain about this pokemon its pretty much a nidoking on steriods.

Hello everyone

This is my very first post, so please excuse me for any mistake i make. I have recently just got back into the game having not played since Pokemon silver on my old game boy colour (I must say the 3DS is a lot better). The idea of being able to play games via Wi-fi now is great and something i want to get into so i sat down and think i must have read nearly a hunred pages on how to balance a team and what pokemon are good at what roles like physical sweeper, tank, wall etc. Thanks to Smogons Strategy Pokedex i have been able to plan out what i think is a good team. I have played with it over the past few days on the Simulator and havent enjoyed a lot of success (Mainly to not knowing my opponents Pokemon well enough i feel) However i did manage 2 wins :pimp:. So i began wondering whether i had an internal balance problem in the team so that why i am here, looking for you guys and ladies who have a wealth more experience than i do, to help this new guy out.

Without further ado here is the current team:

The Baton Passer:
Ninjask – Flying/Bug
Baton Pass
Substitute
Protect
Sword danceItem: Mental herb
Nature: Bold
EV: 248 HP/ 236 Def/ 24 Spe

The Physical Sweeper:
Zekrom – Electric/Dragon
Bolt strike
Draco Meteor
Dragon claw
Volt switch

Item: Life orb
Nature: Lonely
EV: 104 HP/ 148 Atk / 4 Spe

The 2nd Physical Sweeper:
Krookodile – Dark/Ground
Earthquake
Crunch
Stone edge
Pursuit

Item: Choice scarf
Nature: Jolly
EV: 252 Atk/ 4 Sp.Def/ 252 Spe

The Special Sweeper:
Keldeo – Water/Fighting
Calm mind
Surf
Secret Sword
Hidden power ghost

Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid
EV: 252 Sp.Atk/ 4 Sp.Def/ 252 Spe

The Tank:
Regice – Ice
Protect
Ice beam
Icy wind
Thunderbolt

Item: Sitrus berry
Nature: Serious
EV: 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 Sp.Atk

The Wall:
Cresselia – Psychic
Moonlight
Reflect
Ice beam
Thunder wave

Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EV: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Spe

There we have it what do you think? Can i be saved?

The idea is Ninjask enhances my Sweepers and Tank. If Ninjask manages to pull off a Swords Dance then Baton pass to one of my Sweepers. The Tank and the Walla are for Switch ins; such as when the Sweeper encounters something that you're sure it cannot KO. The Tanker or Wall would then absorb the damage, sending out Ninjask again or another Sweeper when you predict a switch. This relies on some prediction. This is a fast-paced team, that tries to defeat my opponent before they can set up their Stat Changes.

Hey there Smogon! This is my first Sun Team. Being more familiar with Sand and Volt-Turn teams, I had never realized the sheer power of certain sun team threats. When I experienced first-hand the awesome power of Victini's V-Create and Victreebel's versatility, I decided I had to try this out for myself. I've had quite a bit of success with this team so far, winning about 25-30 games with only three losses so I'm pretty pleased with this team.

The Team

Movesets & In-Depth Explanations

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Sp.Def, 4Spe
-Flamethrower
-Substitute
-Will-o-Wisp
-Toxic

Frankly, I hate Ninetales. I use this guy for the weather and nothing else. If Ninetales gets a kill, it has officially performed above and beyond the call of duty. As a result, this guy tends to be my go to sacrifice. WoW is great for crippling Tyranitar and the like on the switch, making them easier to manage and letting me pump Ninetale's EV's into Special Defence. Flamethrower packs a bit of a punch with the sun up, but its nothing special. Substitute provides a buffer against unexpected hits, and it works nicely to buy some time for Toxic to rack up some damage. Even so, Ninetales is useless, so this isn't that important a team member. You know, other than for Drought.

Victreebel @ Life Orb
Nature: Modest
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Sp.A, 252 Spe, 4 HP
-Growth
-Giga Drain
-Weather Ball
-Hidden Power Ice

This guy is amazing. Chlorophyll lets me go for a Modest Nature, which lets Victreebel pack a punch even if it can't grab a Growth for some reason. Growth, however, gives Victreebel all the power of Cloyster after a Shell Smash, without the downside of lowered defences and somewhat limited coverage. Giga Drain lets Victreebel heal up Life Orb recoil, while Weather Ball in the sun gets Pseudo-STAB, and is the most powerful fire-type move available to any Chlorophyll sweeper. It also lets Victreebel run with Hidden Power Ice, letting him revenge kill all those dragons, while also letting Victreebel plow through Landorus and Gliscor late-game. Seriously, once Scizor, Mamoswines and the pink blobs of doom are out of the way, Victreebel just annihilates freaking everything especially with Jumpluff's Memento support.

Victini @ Expert Belt
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
-V-Create
-Bolt Strike
-Brick Break
-U-turn

V-Create in the sun is mind blowingly powerful. The only Pokemon that don't fear this thing are Heatran and other Flash Fire users. The Expert Belt lets Victini fake a Choice Band set, then nail Politoed and Tyranitar with Bolt Strike and Brick Break on the switch, hurting them a lot and more or less winning the weather war right there. U-turn is pretty much just for scouting- between V-Create and Bolt Strike, it's just ridiculous how many things get beaten to a pulp.

Conkeldurr @ Flame Orb
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 HP, 4 Sp.D
-Mach Punch
-Drain Punch
-Ice Punch
-Payback

One of my two priority users, Conkeldurr is incredibly useful at breaking down other weather teams as they switch into it, blasting holes in teams with its incredibly high attack. Mach Punch lets him revenge kill a fair few things, while Drain Punch hits harder and keeps him healthy. Ice Punch is for Gliscor, since most Dragon types don't think to switch in on this guy. Payback is almost exclusively for Lati@s, who switch in expecting a Mach Punch every now and then. The sheer power of this set is amazing- its scares off Ferrothorn, beats up Terrakion, and muscles past Gliscor and puts the hurt on just a ridiculous amount of things with Mach Punch.

Mamoswine @ Focus Sash
Nature: Jolly
Trait:Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
-Ice Shard
-Endeavor
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock

Mamoswine is my Stealth Rock setter. It also has the incredibly useful Ice Shard, letting it revenge kill dragons without a problem. This guy serves as my lead if the other team doesn't pack any dragons with a 4x weakness to ice. Endeavor is useful, letting me nab an easy kill in a few matches (if Stealth Rock isn't essential i.e. no Dragonite, Volcarona etc.) with an Endeavor Ice Shard combo.

Jumpluff @ Focus Sash
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Chlorophyll
Evs: 252 HP, 252 Spe, 4 Atk
-Sleep Powder
-Encore
-Memento
-U-turn

Jumpluff here is one of my favorite guys in this team. With Chlorophyll & max speed, nothing else comes close to outrunning him without pulling off an Agility or Rock Polish. This lets him perform as a pretty amazing supporter, pulling the team out of a number of tricky situations. Sleep Powder, with Gen V mechanics takes a guy out for almost the entirety of the match. Encore is useful for locking Cloyster, Volcarona, Dragonite and the like into their boosting moves, forcing them to switch out and making them endure the wrath of Stealth Rock once more if they want to sweep again. It also lets Victreebel, Victini or Conkeldurr switch in without a problem. U-turn is useful for scouting, getting a reasonable synergy with Victini, which comes in handy every now and then. Memento, however, is the best part of this set. It is amazing. Once all the pokemon that wall Victreebel are weakened or dead, Jumpluff can rip out a Memento, even in the face of a sweeper that has already set up (Volcarona, Dragonite, Cloyster), letting Victreebel come in and exploit their lowered offensive stats to finish the game in style.

Conclusion
So, that's the team. Sorry about the length, I ramble a bit every now and then. You may have noticed the lack of a Steel type, but Ninetales usually serves as an admirable piece of death fodder for Mamoswine or Victreebel to clean up. The team basically relies on seizing and holding onto the offensive momentum throughout the match, with Ninetales being sacrificed every now and then to retake the offensive initiative. Feel free to use this team if you want, I'm posting an importable below. And of course, don't hesitate to Luvdisc!!

Welcome everyone, this is my first UU RMT, I've done one NU RMT before. I have experience making teams, but I don't have experience playing UU. This is where you come in, and provide me with important information on the tier and how my team should handle common Pokemon Sets. So far the team has shown promise but I have been caught out a lot due to inexperience in the tier.

So here are my UU Champions (more correctly trying to become champions)

Machamp @ Leftovers
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 200 HP / 56 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
- Substitute

I decided first that I wanted a Mon that was powerful, had disruptive potential against a team, and could fare well against more defensively oriented teams. I fashioned Machamp after Golurk in NU. Dynamic Punch is very useful and quite powerful, forcing an opponent to switch or risk the 50/50 confusion. This is quite important to the team, as it helps slow the game down and provide opportunities to turn the tide of the game, especially if I manage to get a free Sub. I took this from Smogon since it looked good to me, and Ice Punch has been handy for Gligar and other Ground types. It seems to be less useful against very offensive teams I've found, since they typically have powerful attacks that Machamp can't take well, plus he's slow. I am considering Bullet Punch but I don't know yet. He seems to be the weakest link despite his usefulness and general importance, so I'm open to suggestions (would love to keep him though).

Nidoqueen (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast/Focus Blast

Next we have Nidoqueen. She's my Rock setter, and I decided that I needed a wallbreaker that had enough bulk to switch into weak attacks and status, and retaliate immediately with powerful Sheer Force/LO hits (so yummy). Her resistance to Rocks is quite handy, and she has pretty good synergy with Umbreon I've found, resisting the Bug and Fighting types aimed at the doggy. I'm stuck a little bit with the moveset, since Snorlax comes in super easy again this guy, and with 2 other Fire attacks in my team, I'm wondering if I should run Focus Blast instead of Fire Blast. Then again Bronzong had been annoying me when I ran FoB instead, so if anyone can help me out here, please do.

Arcanine @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 176 Spd / 252 Atk / 72 HP / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Crunch
- Morning Sun

Now we have Arcanine, one of our first Sweepers. I've noticed a theme already that my attackers have pretty good bulk, I guess that's my playstyle. More importantly, Arcanine was my 2nd physical sweeper I decided to add, and I wanted something that could hit hard and fast for revenge killing. I was using Scarf Darmanitan before, but ironically powerful fire types were giving me trouble and Blastoise couldn't take all those hits, so I decided to try Arcanine with Flash Fire, and he's been very useful for me. I'm surprised how damn powerful he is with just base 110 Atk, and Extremespeed has really helped in tight situations where I'm facing a frail attacker like Weavile. I opted for Morning Sun instead of CC since LO/Rocks/Recoil wear him down pretty fast, and switching him in for Wish heals is really risky, since even tanks could take me down from a predicted switch after Rocks. I chose Crunch over Wild Charge cuz recoil, and a more reliable way to take care of Chandelure, who is quite a pain to deal with.

Blastoise @ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Toxic
- Roar

Next we have my favourite starter, Blastoise. You can't tell me those cannons aren't cool. I wanted a good defensive Mon that could phaze, spin and tank physical hits, and this guy fits the bill. A little research showed me that physical fire types are dangerous, which is why I chose this guy over say Hitmontop. I run double status cuz I like to Scald Chandelure switches and burn some key physical threats, but I also want Toxic to hit switch-ins like Slowbro or say Cofragrigus who can spin-block me. It's been working pretty well so far but if someone can suggest a more efficient set or EV spread, let me know.

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Foul Play
- Protect

Another thing I noticed, all my Mons are Gen 1 except this guy. In all my teams, I try to add a Mon that acts as a "glue" to help support the functions of my team, or regain momentum. I happened upon Umbreon, who conveniently had excellent Special Walling capabilities as well as Wish. I instantly realised how valuable he could be in my team, and I'm not afraid to say he is my MVP. Heal Bell is so important to my team, so I can brush off any status holding me back. I've noticed speed is quite important in UU, so clearing Paralysis off Zapdos and Arcanine is a priority. Wish is probably tied with Heal Bell in terms of importance. Taking into account the overall bulkiness of my team, I can often switch my pokes out at around 40-60% hp and send a Wish out to them to make them ready to destroy the enemy team all over again. It's not hard to find a time to Wish, and then switch to an appropriate Mon to heal, that counters the Mon the enemy sent to hurt Umbreon. Foul Play so he's not Taunt fodder. UMBREON MUST NOT DIE EARLY, he is too important.

ZappaDDoS @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Last and most certainly least (jk), ZappaDDoS. I renamed him after noticing he was responsible for several ragequits after I destroyed enemy team single-handedly with it, akin to a DDoS attack. He is my next Special Attacker, and is brutally powerful. I can't provide damage calcs, but this guy does about 36% with TBolt to defensive Snorlax, SNORLAX. His handy typing (despite Rock weakness) lets me switch into stuff like Heracross Dual-STAB and get a free hit on something (I've seen of a lot of these guys scarfed). I opted for the Smogon build, so I could hit Grass Types harder, as well as Steel types like Bronzong, who is pretty damn annoying. I also have Roost, alongside Wish support, since it's not always a good idea to Wish to him (remember Rock Weakness like Arcanine) and often if they have something like Snorlax or Umbreon, it's better to just take the opportunity to recover with a free Roost.

So there we have it, my UU Champions. They are not quite Champions so I'm hoping you can all provide me with some suggestions and advice on how to deal with the meta and some important threats posed by them. If there's anything positive I should keep, inform me of this too. I'd really like to keep Machamp by the way, but I understand if he has to go :(

Thank you everyone

I recently got into pokemon again (last generation I played was Gen III), and I'm trying to learn the art of RNG'ing pokemon. What I need right now is two chatots, if anyone is nice enough to give me two chatots, it will be greatly appreciated :p. Since I'm a pokemon noob, it will also be great if you tell me what is needed during the process.

Thanks.
