This is a glitch based on the move pursuit. A log cannot show this but I have noticed it.

On wifi when you choose a pokemon to switch to and you get pursuited and killed it automatically goes to that pokemon.

In my case on shoddy I had a starmie, the tyranitar used pursuit on me and i chose to switch to gliscor. When it died it took me to the switch menu and allowed me to choose another pokemon.

I was told by panamaxis to post this glitch I found here. Thank you for any solutions people might have.

I recently ghosted my PC back to how it was as it was getting slow and etc, and decided I wanted to reload shoddy. I did install the new update to java, and looking at the page which checks whether your installation is broken, everything seems fine

Now, there comes a problem; The file can be read and everything, but fails to run properly.

A shot of task manager shows this, which is odd... three processes are running, which in itself is odd, and then it just not showing up. 10 minutes on, nothing, I repeat nothing apart from Firefox is up on my screen, no java web start

Any idea on this?

I would imagine it would be pretty capable. Although one might have to transfer built teams to it via a computer hookup.

I'm not sure if we're allowed to ask about building the shoddy battle 2 server yet, if not I apologize for posting this, I'm just anxious to give the server a try.

Anyways, I have the server under Ubuntu 8.10, and I've installed all the necessary libraries (I believe). The problem is that the .js files don't link correctly. For example:

g++ -ljs -lboost_thread-mt -lboost_regex -lboost_system-mt -lnspr4 -lxerces-c -lmysqlpp -c -g -Wall -I/usr/local/include/boost-1_38/ -I/usr/local/include/mysql++ -I/usr/include/mysql -I/usr/local/include/nspr -I/usr/local/include/boost -I/usr/local/include/js -MMD -MP -MF build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/resources/constants.o.d -o build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/resources/constants.o resources/constants.js
g++: resources/constants.js: linker input file unused because linking not done

I thought maybe the -c flag was causing the issues so i removed the -c flag and got:

g++ -ljs -lboost_thread-mt -lboost_regex -lboost_system-mt -lnspr4 -lxerces-c -lmysqlpp -Wl,-V -g -I/usr/local/include/boost-1_38/ -I/usr/local/include/mysql++ -I/usr/include/mysql -I/usr/local/include/nspr -I/usr/local/include/boost -I/usr/local/include/js -MMD -MP -MF build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/resources/constants.o.d -o build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/resources/constants.o resources/constants.js
GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Ubuntu) 2.18.93.20081009
Supported emulations:
elf_i386
i386linux
elf_x86_64
/usr/bin/ld:resources/constants.js: file format not recognized; treating as linker script
/usr/bin/ld:resources/constants.js:25: syntax error
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

if anyone knows what the issues here is, I'd really appreciate some guidance here. Thanks in advance.

So... I downloaded the client from an admin account and tested that it is functional on that account and it worked out perfectly fine. I could make a team and battle people.

However, switching to my user account, I try to run the client and after a little bit of loading from Java 6, I get a pop-up saying "Unable to launch application".

This dialogue is simply asking for permission to run the program as a normal application program, as opposed to a typical Java applet running in a sandbox. It it not asking for anything above the privileges of your user account. In particular, it is not asking to run as an administrator. (Shoddy Battle does not require that you are an administrator.) If you are fine with running the program, choose Run.

According to this, I shouldn't need to use an admin account to run the program. I've already looked through the help threads, but cannot find an answer. How can I fix this problem? (I'm using Windows XP, btw.)

Thanks! All help appreciated.

So I am working off of a college campus network. This means that when I accept a challenge it can take about 30 seconds for that data to be sent to my would-be opponent. And, when I receive a challenge, it delays my posts in the chat for sometimes an obscene amount of time. So today I was complaining about said lag, since I am a whinging teenager, and I got a veritable flood of challenges. And people were talking to me in the chat! So I attempted to respond to everyone, but none of my posts showed up for a good five minutes... and then all of them showed up at once!

Now I'm banned for a full day... and in all seriousness, playing Randoms was my plan for today. :/

Note: It was Noah doing the banning. Sensitive bot. What I'm wondering is if there is not a timestamp attached to all posts.
