Trying to get my ranking up for the Deoxys-S test thing, I decided to get a random battle on Shoddy. This is the battle that ensued...

My Team:

Screen's Team:

Sephiroth32194's moves will look like this.

Screen sent out Tyranitar (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!

Hm, this isn't the best matchup. I only have one move that hits for Super Effective, so I might as well use that...

Ambipom used U-turn.

FearMe's leftovers restored its health a little!
FearMe restored 6% of its health.

WOW, I did NOT expect that. I was thinking it would be just a normal CBtar, but now I hit a Boah. Hm. Well, since Dark Pulse won't KO, I'll take this advantage to set up.

This log was formatted using Warmachine Version 1.0

GG Screen! :D

As Blak stated, the recent warstories, including this one, have looked more like formatted logs than warstories.

When making a warstory, try to analyse each turn in more depth, showing your thought process with each move, etc etc.

Nothing really sets this warstory apart from others for me. It didn't have that wow factor that other good warstories have, neither did it have something where you thought 'nice prediction' etc.

My eyes!

They BLEED
To be honest man, none of your warstories have been any better :/ but yeah you seem to get the general concensus that this was not really an interesting battle, nor were the comments very tactically illuminating, in fact anyone could have read the log and though exactly the same thing

I strongly disagree. Gen Empoleon's warstories (particularly this one) were very well written.

But yeah for next time:
-Bigger Type (Use the standard for all posts (size 2)
-Less Goddamn Colour (pick 2, that's plenty)
- Much more Commentary (2-3 sentances should be your minimum for each round)
- Have more skilled players that you play against (honestly, these battles are much more exciting)
-Don't give away your ending in your title (this is self explanatory.)

Excuse me? At least I try to put a lot of effort into them. My comments may be lacking sometimes but I improve each time. >_> I also try to avoid using a bunch of colours in my posts now as well. Along with removing log to get rid of a bunch of useless stuff. (Sandstorm, SR, Hail, blah blah blah) TC you could do the same.

This is by far the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me on this fourm

Every single comment is "wow, exactly what happened! I think I'll do whatever im doing next now". It's barely even commentary on what we can all see going on. It has no entertainment value, informative value, or value in general. Sorry.

Remember, it's a warstory! Express yourself a little.

Yeah, no offense, but this was more of a "Pokemon beats Pokemon with move" than a close, interesting battle, which is what we want to see for a warstory, and the comments weren't very interesting either. Check out some of the threads in the Warstory Archive for an idea of how to write one.
