Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Use Wild Eep's recommendation in his post on the first page (post 11) or use a higher one. Since you're doing DPPT, I recommend a minimum of 6000. You may need higher.

So for RNG abusing for Shinyness and IV's for an egg in HGSS, when I save in front of the Daycare man after I did the Shiny part of the RNG, do I actually turn my DS off? I thought that would mess up the shinyness or something.

Yes. You can change the date if you must as well. As long as the egg was shiny, it'll stay that way.

Oh and all also I don't fully understand the whole using the Time Finder to find the IV spreads.

It says that

PARENT A PARENT B

31 30
31 31
31 31
31 31
31 31
31 31

And then it says that I can get a spread that is A/B/31/31/B/31

Isn't that flawless? How can that be since it is an Adamant Poke?

Erm...two easy ways to do this is to 1) AR check and 2) rare candy and IV calculator online.

I heard about someone you can talk to...but I'm not sure if it's only for one stat or not, lol.

Lol, well I don't have an AR, and I don't have any Rare Candies. If anybody knows that person that I can talk to/where he she is would be fantastic.

The IV man is at the battle frontier. The one directly north of the entrance, right beside the PC. This one is better than the one in DPP because he won't repeat...at least I find that he doesn't. Just talk to him 6 times for a completely flawless poke, he'll tell you them all. If it's only 4 flawless, then 4 times consecutively, etc

The Hidden power person is in Celadon casino...in the tm buying place.

I'm trying to RNG in Turnback Cave...since it's foggy...if I defog...will that make my coinflip and everything go smoothly? ^^

Is there anything different/special about sweet scenting while surfing (on route 47 in particular) for rng catching compared to regular rng catching in HGSS? I keep even figure out what delay and frame I'm hitting

I'm having a certain problem trying to RNG for a shiny latias when saving inside the fan club before exiting to meet Steven then track the latias, and this seems to be consistently happening as follows as I have no other roamers out there:

I am trying to target the IVs from method 1 frame 387 and here's what's happening:

perform radio taps followed by elm calls until I reach the letter that corresponds with:

last elm letter: 379: actual IVs: = frame 389 (over by 2)
last elm letter: 378: actual IVs: = frame 386 (under by 1)
last elm letter: 377: actual IVs: = frame 384 (under by 3)

I don't understand what's causing this to happen as I don't recall having this happen when I did latios a couple of times before. Any suggestions to make this at all possible shall be gratefully appreciated.
update on this problem when trying to target for IVs on method 1 frame 387 for latias:

last elm letter: 380: actual IVs: = frame 388 (over by 1)
last elm letter: 379: actual IVs: = frame 389 (over by 2)
last elm letter: 378: actual IVs: = frame 386 (under by 1)
last elm letter: 377: actual IVs: = frame 384 (under by 3)

It seems every time I reach a certain frame by the last elm call, it always gets me to the latias spread for the frames I indicated above, and was wondering if anybody else has experienced this and know of a way to possibly shake this off. I'm going to try using a different seed with same PID next time hoping that might get me my target frame that way.

I had that problem. For some reason the game reject the spread to be shiny for the latias (I think it may be a NPC in Vermillion City but I'm not to sure). You'll have to RNG it at the Elite 4

If I'm trying to get a delay of 635 but I'm getting 636. Is there a way to change this?
EDIT: Now I hit 624. How do I consisntently hit the correct delay? EDIT: latest delay is 626

First, you have to either insert a third gen cart in your DS or choose a seed that has an even-numbered delay for the current year.

Second, read Romsstar's guide to Pikatimer instead of calibrating like that, it's already outdated.

how can you calibrate your seconds and delay without using AR? i watch a video in youtube that you must put the IVs of the caught pokemon( when calibrating ) to the RNg reporter, but how can i know the IVs if i dont have an AR

SID by AR

Ok. I apparently can't get any seeds for shinies with my SS game because of my unique SID ID combo so I am going to try to get shinies with my HG game. However, I just used the AR code to get it and the numbers are 7693. Do I assume that the SID is then 07693? Or can an SID be just four digits?

OK if I'm using Pikatimer to find a delay, do I need to find a calibrated delay (i've heard its obsolete in HGSS now) or just enter the game when the second timer hits zero (and reset when the first one hits zero)? That will be a major help to me, as I'm just getting started with RNG abuse

You're RNGing for Suicune, right?
PikaTimer will not help you find a delay, it helps you hit the delay you want.
Go to "Seed to Time" in RNG Reporter and find the time and delay that you want to try for. For the bottom window in Seed to Time, click +- 9 seconds and +- 99 delays. This will make it so that you can almost always find the delay that you hit.

Is there a reason I seem to get, 'No elm responses' when I restart my RNGReporter, the next day, even though I entered all the correct info.
