Arena: Viridian Forest
Viridian Forest is a deep and sprawling woodland expanding across Route 2 reaching to Pewter City in the north and to Viridian City in the south, giving the forest its name. The trees in this area have grown so dense that light has trouble getting through, and because of this the forest seems dark and gloomy. The path across to each terminus winds its way around the dense layers of trees, creating a giant labyrinth many liken to a natural maze, as many people get lost inside. The entrance to the forest seems to be light and airy: the trees are not as thick and sunlight is able to get in fine. The trees stand tall and the grass appears to be long and unmaintained, while trees in the distance appear to be shadowed.

Arena Effects: No sources of water. Dig/Earthquake OK. Grass to hide in and trees to hide behind.

Alright, I'll send out Guernica and Luca.

Luca, start things off with Trick Room. Then hit Nuclear with a Toxic. Follow that up by hitting Cloak with an Ominous Wind.

Guernica, start by hitting Nuclear with a Mud Slap. Follow that up with an Acid Bomb and a Venom Shock also on Nuclear.

Nuclear: Pretend that you aren't being targeted by absolutely everything that can be thrown at you. Start by using your superior speed to Taunt Shuppet before it can Trick Room and Toxic. Follow up with an Assurance on Shuppet, followed by a Rock Slide, also on Shuppet.

Cloak: Shadow Ball Shuppet, Psychic Grimer, Shadow Ball Shuppet

Let's do this.

Round One Start!
Welcome to Viridian Forest, home to various bugs and the odd Pikachu. The bushes are boring, the trees are dense, and the bug Pokemon are weak and undesirable. There's absolutely nothing in here to watch, so your best course of action is to spray a couple of Super Repels around you and hurry to the other end. Let's move along now... wait! What's that over there? It appears to be... a Pokemon battle?!?

Not only is it a Pokemon battle, it is a Double battle! Nothing is more exciting than seeing multiple Pokemon duke it out with each other. Let's meet the contestants! On one side, we have the spooky, intimidating, goofy team of Luca the Shuppet and Guernica the Grimer! On the other side of the small clearing, the quick and hard-hitting team of Cloak the Gastly and Nuclear the Mankey! Let's see how this round works out.

Cloak starts the round off by firing a large ball of shadowy material at Luca. The Shadow Ball slams right on the Shuppet, dealing significant damage. Some shadowy residue remains on the Luca, but she seems completely unaffected by it. Nuclear jumps right in front of Luca and taunts the Shuppet into a blind rage. It seems that Luca won't be doing any complicated maneuvers soon! Luca tries to create a strange atmosphere in the forest, but her rage seems to disallow her from finishing. Guernica, however, is not hampered at all by anything and Mud-Slaps Nuclear for some damage, lowering its Accuracy by one stage!

Cloak continues the all-out assault; using his psychic powers, he surrounds Guernica with a blue aura and telekinetically flings him to the ground, dealing significant damage. Nuclear quickly follows suit, dealing a powerful blow with Assurance onto Luca, also dealing significant damage. Luca attempts to summon a cloud of dark poison gas, but she is still affected by Taunt, which renders her so angry she is unable to do anything. Guernica mimics the Shuppet once again, tossing a ball of highly concentrated toxins at the Mankey. Acid Bomb deals a small amount of damage to Nuclear, lowering its Special Defense by two stages!

Cloak, zooming happily around the forest, fires another shadowy blob at Luca. Shadow Ball slams into the purple puppet, dealing a heavy amount of damage, leaving Luca pretty weakened. It seems like her first round is going to be one of her last. Nuclear summons a swath of boulders to Rock Slide Luca; it deals some more damage to the poor Pokemon. It appears that Luca still has some fighting spirit left, however, as a ghostly purple wind flies towards Cloak. The ominous wind affects Cloak in a strange way as it deals heavy damage. Guernica rains down drops of poison onto Nuclear, a ghastly smile on his face. Venom Shocks the Mankey as it takes significant damage, taking some extra as the acidic wounds start to burn.

The battle is seeming one-sided as the round draws to a close. With Wikey essentially down one Pokemon, is it still possible for the team to come back and snatch victory from the waiting hands of Rediamond?
Round One End.

Round Two Start.
The battle has gone from relatively balanced to a one-sided sort of match. With the fastest Pokemon in the match ganging up on poor Luca, is it possible for Wikey to turn things around before it's too late? Read on and find out.

Luca seems to know that her time is coming to an end, spreading her shadow over to Cloak's general area and Shadow Sneaking him for decent last-resort damage. Cloak draws closer to Luca, Licking her with his ghostly tongue. She evidently seems to be shocked at a foreign tongue licking her, as the Shuppet gets paralyzed by the Lick. Luca staggers on, away from her enemies, mortally wounded and unable to move. Fortunately, Nuclear quickly puts her out of misery by ending her consciousness with a quick Assurance. Guernica, angered by the loss of his partner, launches a large mass of poisonous sludge at Nuclear. It deals a large amount of damage, as well as poisoning Nuclear.

Now that one of their enemies are dead, Rediamond's team turns to the next victim: Guernica. Guernica is assaulted by Cloak's Psychic, getting flung to the ground yet again by the psychic forces. Nuclear follows up by charging up fiery energy in his body, then attacking with an Overheat. Guernica takes significant damage from both attacks, and Nuclear's Sp.A is lowered by 2 stages. Guernica fires another Acid Spray in the general vicinity of Nuclear; the high concentration of acid deals damage and lowers his Sp.D by two stages.

Cloak gathers up shadowy materical from around him and flings the makeshift Shadow Ball at the Grimer, who takes some damage from it. Once again, Nuclear is right behind Cloak, making a swath of boulders fall down upon Guernica, who takes some more damage from Rock Slide. Guernica, visibly tired, rains down more poison drops at Nuclear, who takes massive damage from it.

Round Three Start!
As the remains of Shuppet are returned back into the Pokeball, Wikey sends out a new challenger. Go, Keasbey! The Growlithe leaps gracefully into the air, sending out an extremely intimidating roar. It doesn't really do anything.

It seems that Rediamond's team has adopted an all-out approach as the two team members approach Keasbey and Grimer menacingly. Cloak uses his psychic powers again, flinging Guernica to the ground, a blue aura surrounding him. However, it seems that Grimer is used to taking such attacks (cough) and isn't too phased. Nuclear follows up with a Close Combat directed at Keasbey, who takes a rather impressive amount of damage from it. Keasbey quickly returns the blow with a flying fire tackle Flame Wheel, which knocks the Mankey out. Grimer starts to stockpile previously stored food into his body parts, attempting to prolong his longevity.

Next, Cloak gathers up some shadowy material and hurling the ball of shadows at Keasbey, hitting for solid damage. Keasbey quickly responds by toasting the Gastly in a stream of red-hot flames, also dealing significant damage. Guernica continues to stockpile energy into his body.

Cloak uses his psychic powers once again in order to fling an opponent to the ground, but this time the victim is Keasbey. Keasbey struggles to get back up immediately, but does so and bites Cloak hard with his darkness-infused fangs. Guernica stops his frantic stockpiling and swallows the stored matter, healing himself for 20 HP.

Round Four Start
As the poisoned Mankey is returned to Rediamond's Pokeball, presumably to be sent to the Pokemon Center sometime soon, another Fire-type is sent out onto the field. Sunshine the Vulpix leaps out gracefully, her legs soaring like Bambi (except not).

Cloak flies across the forest, his poisonous gases trailing over the many blades of grass. He uses his psychic powers to fling Guernica to the forest floor, making the Grimer take much damage. Keasbey, seeing his partner get injured, fires a stream of red flames from his mouth to assail the devious Gastly. Vulpix uses a peculiar force in order to knock Guernica back down onto the forest floor; it seems that Guernica will have trouble even getting back up. However, the Grimer manages to crawl his way towards Cloak, temporarily erasing the memory of the move Psychic from his mind.

Cloak continues to zoom around the battlefield, circling around Guernica, but his mind just can't remember how to use the move that was commanded. Keasbey takes advantage of Cloak's indecisiveness to attack him with a searing hot flame, which also raises Keasbey's Speed by one stage. Sunshine aims to take out the Grimer as soon as possible, attacking him with a tackle, backed by the loving thoughts of Rediamond (lol). Grimer retaliates by shooting hard-packed mud balls out of his mouth, which deals some decent damage.

As Cloak continues to fly around, Keasbey quickly puts the Gastly out of misery, shooting more flames from his mouth at Cloak. Cloak falls to the ground, unable to move as the flames dissipate into the air. Furious at the loss of a teammate, Sunshine utilizes the strange force and knocks Guernica to the ground; Guernica is also unable to move (unconscious).

Alright, get out there and win this, Underwood!

Underwood, start off by hitting Locke with a Yawn. Follow that up by hitting Sunshine with a Waterfall. Finish the round off with a Drain Punch on Sunshine.

Keasbey, hit Locke with a Flamethrower followed by a Nitro Charge and finish with a Flamethrower.

Well, let's go for an old Russian Army strategy: DESTROY with no regard to the well-being of the soldiers.

First off, we're kind of in a slightly awkward situation, but we can still win this:
Vulpix: Energy Ball~Extrasensory~Energy Ball, all at Underwood
LOCKE: Try not to die too quickly. On a more serious note, Dig against Growlithe, hoping the Flamethrower will miss and light the forest on fire... You're scared of fire? Pft, pathetic. I will overlook your cowardice, but just remember the Machine Gunner at the back if you want to retreat. Follow this up with a Bullet Seed on Underwood, followed by another Dig on Growlithe.

Round Five Start!

As both Cloak and Guernica are retrieved back into the Pokeball with a burst of red light, Locke and Underwood are sent out to aid their fellow teammates. The two trainers look at their PokeBelt (yay for inventions); out of the four balls present, two of them are empty, the Pokemon outside battling their opponent. The other two blink slowly, the heartrate monitor registering unnaturally slow beats, similar to the ones of those unconscious. Oh wait, they are unconscious.

Keasbey shoots a large stream of flames at Locke before anybody else can react. The flames deal significant damage to the poor little acorn thing, but fortunately the Seedot isn't burned. Sunshine retaliates by gathering up a ball made of energy and life, firing it at Underwood, who takes some damage. While Locke Digs a hole in the ground, Underwood Yawns loudly, but it seems that the Seedot is too far underground to hear the Privatyke. Moments later, Locke resurfaces and attacks Keasbey for some damage.

Continuing his reign of terror, Keasbey uses his fire supply to attack Locke with a searing heat. The unnatural speed is carried over, increasing Keasbey's speed by one stage. Again, Sunshine retaliates by firing an attack at Underwood; however, this time, her psychic powers are utilized to knock Underwood back to the ground. Underwood quickly gets back up, and propels himself towards the Vulpix with the force of water, hitting her for significant damage. Locke quickly aims another attack at Underwood, firing energized seed after energized seed. After hitting Underwood with 4 seeds, it seems like the Privatyke has taken quite some damage.

Happy at the fact that he took no damage last round, Keasbey shoots another stream of red-hot flames, toasting poor Locke. The fire seems to last much longer on some parts of the Seedot's body, resulting in an unfortunate burn. Irritated at the horrible condition of his teammate, Sunshine launches another ball of life at Underwood, who takes some more damage. Underwood counters by punching the Vulpix with an energy-filled fist, which deals some damage and heals himself for some health. Locke digs another hole in the battlefield and emerges shortly after, hitting Keasbey for some more trivial damage.

I am an idiot. Please refrain from action-posting until I have edited this post.

EDIT: Should be fixed now. Sorry for the misread -.-

Vulpix: Energy Ball~Extrasensory~Energy Ball
All at Privatyke. If he's dead before the second round (unlikely), hit Growlithe with Extrasensory and use Return over Energy Ball, aimed at Growlithe (obviously). If he survives first action, dies second, use return on Growlithe. Just remember, I like you much more than the rest of my team.
Locke: If you don't get your nickname, your only purpose is to die, but do some damage in the process.
In short: Energy Ball~Extrasensory~Energy Ball/Return
Bullet Seed Privatyke until one of you dies. After that, switch to using dig on Growlithe.
Bullet Seed~Bullet Seed/Dig~Bullet Seed/Dig

Alright, team, we've got this!

Underwood, hit Locke with three Drain Punches! If he faints at any point switch to three Waterfalls on Vulpix.

Keasbey, hit Locke with three Flamethrowers if he faints switch to hitting Vulpix with three Close Combats.

Note that I forgot to apply STAB on Bullet Seed, so you will see Privatyke take a little more damage than usual to balance it out (don't worry, I did all the math out).

Round Six Start!

The spamming starts.

Keasbey shoots another jet of hot flames at Locke the Seedot, who suffers from a ridiculous amount of damage. Jumping away from the flames, Sunshine shoots a ball of green life at Privatyke, who also takes a large amount of damage. Locke starts shooting energized seeds at Underwood as his fist draws closer to the acorn; the Seedot manages to launch off a total of 5 seeds before getting punched to death; the energy-filled fist restores some more health to Underwood.

Keasbey quickly dashes to Sunshine, engaging in a one-on-one fist/handfight with the Vulpix. Since the Growlithe is obviously much better at physical combat, he gets away with only minor defense drops, leaving the poor Sunshine injured. However, Sunshine is quite adept at using psychic powers, using them to fling the sneaky Privatyke back to the ground; he doesn't get up after that.

Quite irate at seeing his teammate fall to the ground, Keasbey runs back to Sunshine to challenge to wily fox again. Thanks to his prodigious fighting skills, the Growlithe escapes combat once again with minor defense drops, whereas the Vulpix takes a large amount of damage. However, Sunshine strikes back this time, tackling Growlithe with the strength of loving thoughts behind the attack. It deals trivial damage.

Now, Keasbey, you're faster AND stronger. These defense drops could hurt but it's a risk we have to take. Take out Sunshine with your Close Combat skills!

It's funny because it's not. At all.

Extrasensory to advantage of defense drops. After that, use Quick Atrack Twice to finish. Let's hope it does enough...

Round Seven Start!

Yeaaa let's get this over with.

Keasbey doesn't really care about safety anymore. All he sees is an evil fox, and his main goal is to knock it out in as little time as possible. He leaps forward, punching Sunshine over and over again with the deadly effects of a close combat. Sunshine retaliates by slamming Keasbey with her psychic powers, dealing ridiculous damage, especially with Keasbey's reduced defenses.

Realizing that she won't survive another hit, Vulpix enters a last-ditch maneuver, using her speed to attack quickly. Sunshine rushes forward quickly and lightly smacks Keasbey, which does much more damage due to the recklessness of Keasbey; however, it is not enough to KO. Keasbey rushes forward and attacks Sunshine once more. She falls down, unconscious.

Good game. Thank goodness there are no anti-Pokemon Abuse laws.

Incidentally, so far I've lost every match I didn't use Ralts/Kirlia and won every one I have. That might be telling me something....
