At the very least, I would suggest that less experienced refs should stick more closely to the game mechanics for a few battles.

Just putting out a call to interested and very experienced refs. If you'll read this and think about applying as a Subway ref, that would be great! You can get more tokens for your time reffing the Subway than normal battles! Although you'll also do more work!

I haven't responded to those who have PMed me so far since I will get to them all at once, so if you've already applied, don't fret. Please make sure that you are actually rather experienced before applying, because it's tricky! Thanks for the interest!

I'm back in gear and ready to roll now that it's summer, and I'll be reffing hard and strong. However, come July, I'll have to be gone for a week, then two weeks in August.

Sorry if it is the wrong thread (need SQSA thread) but what happens in regard to KO counters if I KO an opponent's pokemon by using explosion?

If a Pokemon uses Explosion or any other self-KO move, the opponent will get the KO Bonus while your Pokemon will get the KO Bonus if it was able to successfully faint the opponent. In a double battle or higher, each Pokemon on the opponent's side will get the KO Bonus.

I'm a bit unsure how to calculate damage from Stealth Rock. Would I use a stat of 0 for the attacker, or do I use the stat of the pokemon who laid down the rocks, or what? Also, since the base power changes based on resistance, should i not factor in weakness/resistance when calculating the damage? It's hitting a Nohface, if that matters.

It's Stealth Rock. It does fixed damage to switchins and happens to be altered based on how a type interacts with Rock.

If you are ever confused about a move, look to its effect in-game. If it does fixed damage in-game, it does fixed damage in ASB. It might be altered like the cases of Sonicboom and Dragon Rage, but the rules regarding the move are almost always the same.

Since it's kinda half-way between a 1v1 singles and a 2v2 singles, I guess you'd get half-way in between both and get 3?

The original ref should get 1 RC and you will get 3 RC (for the remaining 2 Pokemon on each side + 1). It's kinda like a 1v1 reffing for the original ref (except without the +1 bonus thing for completion).
