[Set Comments]
- One of the Best SubSeeders in the tier thanks to great speed and bulk
- Leech Seed and Substitute are for stalling the opponent down
- Giga Drain for more HP back every turn
- Hidden Power Fire is to do something back to Ferroseed and Roselia and other grass types from coming in and setting up
-Hidden Power Rock is for Fire and Flying types, and can KO Moltres after Stealth Rock Damage.
- Taunt is to stop setup, and with 113 base speed, he can shut down most pokemon from setting up (ninjask the one exception)
[Additional Comments]
- Entry hazards goes great with stalling the opponent
- Grass pokemons should be taken care of since Leech Seed doesn't effect Grass types. Entei makes a good Pokemon for this role, as he can also clear Bug types and Flying types with Stone Edge
-Steel and Poison types pokemon cause it problems, outstalling it even with Leech Seed. Dugtrio is a great partner for trapping both types.
-Mirror Coat can be used to bounce back status/hazards, though he doesn't have the moveslot for this.

[Set Comments]
- Without reliable recovery, Serperior needs to be careful when coming in on switches, but he is bulky enough to usually get both screens up.
- Giga Drain is for an attack with doesn't make him Taunt bait.
- Hidden Power Fire is to do something back to Ferroseed and Roselia and other grass types from coming in and setting up
-Hidden Power Rock can KO Moltres after Stealth Rock

[Additional Comments]
- An Offensive based team can be used around Serperior, as he makes a decent lead in most situations, getting both screens up to make set-up easier for the team.
- Grass pokemons should be taken care of since Leech Seed doesn't effect Grass types. Entei makes a good Pokemon for this role, as he can also clear Bug types and Flying types with Stone Edge

[Other Options]
- Dragon Tail can also be used in conjunction with entry hazards to rack up damage on the oppoentnts team, though Leech Seed would contradict with this. A set of Dragon Tail/Glare/Substitute/Giga Drain can be utilized with this.
- Glare can be used as team support in the last slot, though he then loses to Ferroseed and Bug Types. Also, low Accuracy makes it undesirable, as other pokemon like Ferroseed can abuse more accurate Thunder Wave much better.
- Coil can be used to increase his Defense and Attack, while making Leech Seed more accurate in the process. A set to utilize this would be Dragon Tail/Glare/Coil/Leaf Blade or Giga Drain on a full stall team.
- Serperior's limited movepool and horrid attack stats prevents it from using an offensive set, however, a Calm Mind set with Calm Mind/Giga Drain/Hidden Power Rock/Fire/Substitute can be used as a bulky attacker, however a horrid 75 base special attack means it lacks power.
[Checks and Counters]
-Ferroseed a good check, however, Ferroseed can be shut down with Taunt, or 3/4HKOd on 252/252 by HP Fire, while being 4/5HKOd back with Gyro Ball.
-Roseila can be stopped from setting up with Taunt, however, it takes nothing from HP Fire, and 2HKOs with Sludge Bomb
-Durant and and Galvantula can set up with a Sub to block Leech Seed and set up with a stat boosting move. Exception if Serperior carries Hidden Power Fire
-Lilligant sets up all over Serperior, being immune to Leech Seed while setting up Quiver Dances, unless you run Taunt
[Dream World]
- When Contrary is out, Serperior may be OU. But as long as he's in NU, a set with 4HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd with Leaf Storm/Substitute/Leech Seed/HP Fire makes him a great offensive based SubSeeder, while keeping offensive pressure on the opponent.
