First Analysis yay!
Overview]
Colossal base 200 Defense (only beaten out by shuckle, but with his abysmal hp the king of rocks actually takes physical hits better than him), as well as a decent base 80 HP and base 100 Special defense
Takes physical hits better than anyone other pokemon in NU.
Has a chance to live Adamant Banded Sawk Close combat even with a specially defensive spread!
Very common weaknesses
Can go offensive with a Curseatalk set.
More stall oriented
Hits fairly hard for a wall
Why we no have sandstorm in nu :'(
Useless ability

Name: Support
Move 1: Stealth Rock
Move 2: Stone Edge/Rock Slide
Move 3: Earthquake
Move 4: Toxic/Thunder Wave
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 spD / 4 Def
[Set Comments]
Specially Defensive Spread allows him to tank neutral special hits fairly well, while even his uninvested defense is titanic, reaching 437 with the given EVs, which is more than 252/252+ cofagrigus, and more than defensive Deoxys-D with a neutral nature!
Stealth Rock lets him set up that crucial hazard, helping to check so many things at the moment, such as hail and most of the spinners are unable to spin away on him as they are mostly weak to Regirock's STAB attack, the only viable exception being wartortle.
EdgeQuake combo for great coverage with a high base power, hitting pokemon looking to set up on it decently hard.
The choice of the last move is up to personal preference, with toxic hitting bulky waters and other defensive pokemons attempting to switch in on regi, while thunder wave cripples more offensive mons who may be looking to set up, or just to kill regirock( for example sawk love to switch in on regirock, and inflicting him with paralysis helps to reduce the amount of damage he can deal to your team, with the common scarf variant being hit especially hard.)
[Additional Comments]
Rest can be used in the last slot to give regirock much more durability ans staying power, but must be paired with a cleric. Luckily, many clerics pair up well with regirock, such as aromatherapy roselia or flareon, both of whom have excellent special defense to complement regirock's fantastic defense, and have fairly decent type synergy.
A physically defensive set can be run, but he now dies to many more special hits, such as +2 LO Jynx Ice beam and Sunny day Exeggutor's solarbeam( without a boosting item) and some less notable ones.
Pairs well with clerics/wish passers as previously stated.
[Set]
Name: Curse Talk
Move 1: Curse
Move 2: Rock Slide/Stone Edge
Move 3: Rest
Move 4: Sleep Talk
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 spD / 4 Def
[Set Comments]
Unlike the previous set, this is based on exploiting regirock's great bulk to slowly set up curse after curse, before finally sweeping the opponent's team.
The special defense is again maxed as in addition to it helping him survive many crucial hits and his defense being much greater, his defense is being boosted while it is not.
Rock slide is this time the first slash as its greater pp and accuracy helps much more than more immediate power, this set is about slowly setting up until you are a bona-fide boss. However, stone edge can still be used as sleep talk helps to alleviate the pp issue.
[Additional Comments]
Earthquake can be used over sleep talk, but is not recommended without sand, as his special defense can not take too many hits, and disableing yourself for 2 turns is not a good tradeoff for good coverage, you should only really be attacking when you have either attained enough boosts to sweep, to take out a threat to him, or when it is picked through sleep talk, and when you have enough boosts coverage doesnt matter.
This set requires intelligent use of team preview, so you can work out who needs to be removed to allow a regirock sweep.
[Other Options]
Swagger and Psych up for a gimmicky boosting set
Iron defense, but this is outclassed by curse
A wide variety of fighting attacks, including superpower and focus punch
Counter- This works fairly well with his amazing Defense
Gravity, although this is pretty rubbish in all tiers if I'm perfectly honest.
A set with more attack
A physically defensive set
[Checks and Counters]
Most mon's with taunt can destroy both sets, as unboosted and uninvested regirock is fairly weak.
Gurdurr and Throh are able to come in and set up on him, with little resistance given their good physical bulk, their resistance to his STAB attacks, and their STAB Fighting attacks.
Sawk can kill slightly weakened regis. (Jolly scarf does 58.5% - 69.9%)
Quagsire completely destroys curse talk, but risks a toxic from the support set.
[Dream World]
Sturdy is a much better ability for regirock then clear body, although it is still somewhat limited, as despite being able to survive an attack, he normally cannot do too much back, apart from maybe toxicing/thunder waving an opponent. It would be good if he got roar, but alas he does not. However it will defintely become the standard ability when it is released, he does not miss out on any good moves anyway, aside from drain punch which is vaguely useful as a niche.

[Overview]

The ancient golem stirs, fortifying his defenses, and is ready to face the onslaught from those in the NU tier that would dare defy him. Sadly, Regirock's long hibernation has taken a toll on its once-legendary defenses - it is OHKOed by Pokemon such as Exeggutor and Gorebyss, and can barely scratch the hides of Quagsire and Camerupt without Toxic. Taking a quick glance over the base stats of the King of Rocks, one immediately notices his colossal Defense and good HP, as well as decent Special Defense and Attack, which allow him to act as an efficient tank. Possessing the best physical bulk in the game, Regirock can be a nightmare to take down for any team lacking strong special attackers with super effective STAB moves. He also has access to some excellent support moves such as Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave. In addition, his pure Rock typing allows him to be one of the best Swellow checks in NU. Unfortunately, Regirock’s pure Rock typing also burdens him with weaknesses to very common attacking types, including Fighting-, Water-, and Ground-type attacks. He lacks reliable recovery outside of Rest, meaning he can often be set up fodder while asleep. Nevertheless, Regirock can utilize Rest to go offensive with a Curse and ResTalk set, boosting up slowly before finally sweeping the opponents team. Unfortunately, this requires a good amount of team support.

[SET]

move 2: Stone Edge / Rock Slide
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Thunder Wave / Toxic
item: Leftovers
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]

This set aims to provide as much support to the team as possible with Regirock's excellent movepool, while checking a large amount of dangerous threats such as Swellow and physical Eelektross. Due to Regirock's fantastic Defense, many physical threats struggle to get past it, making it a good switch in for most physical attackers in NU. Stealth Rock provides a great way to spread residual damage across the opponent's team, especially with the numerous Pokemon in NU that are weak to Stealth Rock. Regirock is a reliable and bulky user of Stealth Rock, and will get it up more often than not. Stone Edge and Earthquake are attacking moves in order to prevent Regirock from being Taunt bait, and together create the famous EdgeQuake combination, hitting nearly everything in NU for neutral damage, only missing out on Torterra and the rare Eviolite Baltoy, and packing solid power off Regirock’s decent Attack. Thunder Wave can cripple fast, offensive Pokemon, such as Gorebyss and Sawk, both of whom love to switch in, whereas Toxic will break the walls that switch into Regirock, such as Lickilicky or Tangela; in either case, the last move is used for stopping Pokemon that cause problems for your team. The EV spread allows him to take neutral special hits fairly well, as without investment he is OHKOed or 2HKOed by many more special hits, such as Life Orb Jynx's Ice Beam, and despite being uninvested in, his Defense is still titanic, taking physical hits better than even 252/252+ Deoxys-D up in UU.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Rock Slide is slashed with Stone Edge for those who prefer the better accuracy of the former, but it is much weaker, and thus is not advised. Rest can be used in any of the slots if you already have Stealth Rock somewhere else, or just want to give Regirock more longevity, but it must be used with cleric support. Luckily many clerics share good synergy with him, such as Misdreavus and Meganium, both of whom have great Special Defense to complement Regirock's fantastic physical bulk. Lickilicky is also a good option thanks to having both Heal Bell and Wish if Regirock is not running Rest, but make sure you bring something to take Fighting-type attacks. Exeggutor is a great partner, resisting all of Regirock's weaknesses while Regirock handles the Fire- and Flying-types who trouble the multi-headed tree. Exeggutor especially appreciates Swellow being taken down. Different EV spreads can be run, such as 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD for a monster that doesn't die to physical hits, but he now dies to many more special hits as previously stated.

[SET]
name: Mono-Attacker
move 1: Curse
move 2: Rock Slide / Stone Edge
move 3: Rest
move 4: Sleep Talk
item: Leftovers
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 spD
[SET COMMENTS]

While this set may look the same as the first set in terms of EVs, it serves a completely different purpose. This set focuses on abusing Regirock's bulk to slowly set up Curse numerous times, before going for a (hopefully) game-ending sweep. Curse is the main move, letting Regirock boost his Attack and already excellent Defense, and as he is slow already, he doesn't mind the Speed drops at all. Rock Slide is slashed before Stone Edge this time as its greater PP and accuracy helps much more than immediate power, as this set is not fast-paced in the slightest&mdashit is about getting a large number of Curses under it's belt before attacking. The only time Regirock should be attacking is either when Rock Slide is picked through Sleep Talk or when he is ready to annihilate the remainders of your opponent's team, and in neither case does Regirock prefer power to PP and accuracy. However, Sleep Talk helps alleviate Stone Edge's PP issues, so it is still usable. Rest is Regirock's only form of recovery and so is needed, and Sleep Talk stops him from being a sitting duck in the face of the opposition.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Earthquake can possibly be used over Sleep Talk to give Regirock better coverage, but it is not recommended as he becomes very susceptible to phasing. Quagsire is a hard stop to this set, so make sure to pack some Grass-types to take care of him; Meganium and Exeggutor work well. This set requires intelligent use of the team preview, so you can work out who you need to remove in order to allow Regirock to attain his sweep.

[Other Options]

Regirock has a vast movepool, but not many of his moves are very useful. Swagger and Psych Up can be used as a pseudo-Swords Dance, but Regirock doesn’t have the Speed to be an all out sweeper, and Curse is generally preferred. This is also outclassed by Carracosta, not to mention very gimmicky and luck-dependent. Iron Defense is in the same boat, as Curse is preferable in nearly all situations. Drain Punch can be useful to provide more coverage and healing without Rest. Regirock can also use Counter effectively, given his astronomical defense. A Rock Polish set is also usable, but is outclassed once again by Shell Smash Carracosta, as is an all out offensive set of 4 attacking moves. Regirock can also set up weather, as it is a good bulky pivot. Seismic Toss can also be used to break nearly all the Substitutes in NU, when a STAB move is not enough. Explosion used to be a good option but with the nerf it has become too weak to do too much damage, in addition Regirock is used to check things primarily, not to open up holes in the opponent's team.

[Checks and Counters]

Quagsire completely walls the Curse set, but has to be wary of a Toxic on the support set. Gurdurr and Throh can come in and set up on Regirock or scare him out, and the worst Regirock can do is Toxic, which doesn't bother either of the aforementioned too much. Sawk can pick off weakened Regirocks below 70% with its powerful STAB Close Combat. Exeggutor and Gorebyss can come in and fire away powerful STAB attacks, or simply set up in Gorebyss's case.

[DREAM WORLD]

Regirock receives Sturdy from the Dream World. This is a much better ability than Clear Body, allowing Regirock to guarantee that Stealth Rock gets up. Sturdy will likely become the standard ability when it is released.
