Team Junk Record

Joeyboy

Has got the gift of gab
is a Team Rater Alumnusis a Smogon Media Contributor Alumnus
Name comes from the manga Junk Record of the Last Hero. Just started reading it and it very cool :D

This is a team I made a few weeks back. I had been stuck in a funk of only making offensive teams for quite some time. I decided to make a Balanced Rain team focused on helping SubDD Dragonite sweep. I saw how powerful that set could be against a team of statused 'mons, and decided to base it on that. I assembled a team of annoying Status spreading mons. Any paralyzed 'mon becomes instant set-up Dragonite. He can also stall out any Toxiced 'mon utilizing SubRoost. It has been very successful for me, and most of the time when I lost it was because of my misplays and not the teams synergy or goal. Will add more, and maybe a team building process, broke my elbow and I can't type too much 0_o

A Quick Glance

..............

The Frog Pokemon

Politoed (F) @
(Leftovers)
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Def / 64 SAtk / 40 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Toxic
- Protect
- Perish Song

Every rain team needs him, Politoed. Politoed summons the powerful Dizzle effect and lets my team work at it's fullest potential. I've chosen to use M Dragon's spread because I've used it in the past, and it's never steered me wrong.

This Politoed is able to win many a weather war, usually outright beating all other starters, beside Abomasnow. Under rain Scald is operating under 160 BP which dents any pokemon, even coming the weaker tank Politoed. Toxic is necessary to poison numerous threats and common switch-ins, causing them to quickly suffer passive damage as my team hides behind their bulk. Toxic is particularly useful against Jellicent and Gastrodon, who wish to negate my water-type attacks. Protect allows me to scout choice items, Rotom-W especially, and also allows me to rack up more passive damage. Perish Song is for last stand pokemon, and can also be used to force switchs.
..............

The Wish Pokemon

Jirachi @
(Leftovers)
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 204 SDef / 52 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Wish
- Protect
- Stealth Rock

The first part in my paralyzing defensive core, Jirachi! One of the aims of this team is to let Dragonite sweep in ideal conditions, this includes the majority of the opponents team being Paralyzed or Poisoned. Jirachi is one of the best Paralyzing in the entire game, abusing Serene Grace to give Thunder an awesome 60% to inflict the crippling status. Jirachi also serves as my main special wall, stopping such threats as Tornadus and Latios cold.

Thunder was chosen to abuse Serene Grace; for a long time I had Body Slam as it helped specifically against Venusaur in the sun, but Thunders advantages soon over came that. Wish is an awesome move that allows Jirachi to recover or to heal an ally. Protect is sadly chosen over Iron Head because of how I play. I cannot properly play Jirachi without guaranteed 50% healing, to often I would switch into a threat, Wish, only to find I would faint before it came true. Protect also helps for the same reasons it does on Politoed. Stealth Rock are those all important hazards that every team needs. Jirachi was the only capable pokemon so it gladly sacrificed it's fourth moveslot.
..............

The Atrocious Pokemon

Gyarados (F) @
(Leftovers)
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Taunt
- Dragon Tail
- Thunder Wave

The second part of my paralyzing core, Gyarados! Gyarados is my main physical wall, with Intimidate and it's impressive natural bulk, he suits that job perfectly. When I first added Gyarados I was sadly underwhelmed, it was not until I realized that Gyarados needs Rapid Spin that I realized how awesome she is.

Gyarados shares great synergy with Jirachi, completely avoiding Jirachi's one weakness is the rain. While Gyarados has no reliable recovery of its own Jirachi has no problems passing it's strong Wishs to this tyrannical serpent.

Waterfall gives Gyarados immediate attacking power; even as a dedicated wall, Gyarados' Rain boosted Waterfall does a ton of damage. It 2HKO's many common threats, something that can't be said about many common walls. Taunt is very valuable move on Gyarados, letting it shut down common pokemon like Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Forretress, stopping them from laying dangerous hazards. Thunder Wave is there as my second means of spreading the status. Most of Gyarados' common switch-ins (read Rotom-W) hate Thunder Wave, and will be crippled after taking it. After threats are Paralyzied Gyarados itself can even begin wreaking havoc with Waterfall. Dragon Tail is my only phazing move, and can be useful as a way to rack up extra SR damage or to force out a threat. Usually though Waterfall is the better option; I keep meaning to try Roar because Substitute sucks ;)
..............

The Jellyfish Pokemon

Tentacruel (F) @
(Leftovers)
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Protect
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic

Tentacruel!! This thing is a beast in rain, I don't know how this is my first real time using it, but it is. Tentacruel never disappoints, never. His overall high bulk and amazing recovery in the rain means it will take a lot of punishment before going down.

I chose a Standard spread, giving maximum Physical bulk, letting it take Close Combats and the likes with ease.

Scald rocks, it's there for all the same reasons as Politoed's. Scald might be even better on Tentacruel though as I love to bring it in on certain physical threats, and that's when that 30% Burn chance becomes so clutch. Burning Ferrothorn is also another huge boon for my team, allowing Breloom and Dragonite and even easier time. Protect is Protect, but on Tentacruel it means 12.5% extra recovery when I want it; truly makes Tentacruel a tank. Rapid Spin is amazing in today's metagame, it not only is crucial for my Gyarados and Dragonite(booo rock weak) but it also clears any rampant Spikes that really hinder Politoed and Jirachi. Toxic is over Toxic Spikes for two reasons: before I was using Toxic Spikes very irregularly, due to immunes and Rapid Spinners, plus my team loves all Status' equally and sometimes it sucked getting Poison on something I wanted Paralyze or Sleep. TL;DR, Toxic rocks on it's own.
..............

The Mushroom Pokemon

Breloom (F)
@ (Toxic Orb)
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 236 HP / 204 SDef / 68 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Seed Bomb

Ah Breloom, what words can express my love. This little guy has been taking the metagame by storm, I happened to see Blue Star post this set in C&C and just happened to try him out. I'm so glad I did, this is one of my favorite sets right now, it messes with common cores like Scizor/Rotom and Ferrothorn/Jellicent. While this set is awesome, it becomes even more awesome under rain and with these allies. Breloom loves switching into many common threats such as Ferrothon and Rotom, and she fears very little(once Toxic Orb is up).

Under the rain Breloom no longer has to fear Fire attacks, especially with all that Special Bulk. The number of Heatran's I've defeated with this thing is incredible; people still believe that Breloom is going to fall to their special moves, even with this set in the lime light.

Spore is a must on any Breloom set. Sleep has been buffed big time in the Generation leap, pretty much taking out any pokemon I want. I try and scout out who I want to sleep in Team Preview, don't just waste it right away. Bulk Up is the cruz of the set, boosting Breloom's weaker Defense, allowing it to take that U-Turns and Iron Heads. It also begins boosting her attack, which is the beginning of the end. Drain Punch provides HUGE recovery when paired with Poison Heal, letting Breloom live much longer than most. Seed Bomb provides great coverage with Drain Punch, hitting such problematic pokemon such as Quagsire, Jellicent, and Rotom-W for Super-Effective damage.
..............

The Dragon Pokemon

Dragonite (F) @
(Leftovers)
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 92 SDef / 164 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Dragon Claw
- Substitute

Oh man, here it is, the clincher, if the rest of the team does their job nothing is stopping this mighty dragon. I'm sure everyone here is aware of SubDDnite by now(thanks Stone haha) and it's seriously awesome. I remember testing this set a long time ago, trying to do something like SubCM Latias and it was good. But Stone made the perfect EV spread for it, turning it into a beast.

I had wanted to use this set in a new setting so I decided that with loads of Paralysis support this Dragonite would tear teams to shreds. When all threats are statused they all become set up fodder. Dragonite being faster will always be able to Roost or Sub, waiting for those free turns to begin to Dragon Dance. After a few of those, nothing is standing is her way.

Dragon Dance is what gives this set its power, boosting both Dragonite's Speed and Attack. Roost is there to insure Multiscale is up as often as possible, to lower Ice attack damage, and for reliable recovery. Substitute is a really key move, allowing Dragonite to dodge Status and Leech Seeds. Dragon Claw is the only move this guy needs. When my team has had its fun there really shouldn't be much opposition left.
........................

A Final Look and Final Thoughts

There's my team, its served me very well in the past few weeks. Laddering means even less than it used to but this team kept me in the 1400s when I was laddering(a feat for me, I'm terribly inconsistent on the ladder). I also used it in the most Recent Smogon Tournament, though I lost in the fourth round. I find it very fun to use as it's a playstyle I don't tend to utilize.

Things I've thought of changing:

~ Switch Toxic for Toxic Spikes on Tentacruel: Though I stand by my claim that Toxic Spikes usually suck, they would help against Jellicent and Celebi, though my team doesn't particularly mind them.

~ Switch Dragon Tail for Roar on Gyarados: Substitute sucks.

~ Weak Links: Electric weak!! Seriously, as you'll see in the threatlist, strong electric attacks can really break my back.

~ Terrakion Weak: Gyarados can't take it, the threat. Tried a Gliscor over Gyarados, but Gyarados seemed to gel much better overall with the team.

Hey Joey, really cool team.

Overall this team looks pretty solid, but a couple of things jump out at me. A Pokemon that looks pretty problematic is SD Virizion. After an SD, Virizion can power through your team, especially late game when some of your Pokemon are weakened. A pretty easy fix to this would be to put a SD Scizor over Jirachi. A set of SD | Bullet Punch | Bug Bite | Roost with 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SpD with an Adamant nature should do. SD Scizor can do a lot of the jobs Jirachi did, as well as giving you priority, and a better answer to SD Virizion. The priority could really help to pick off weakened sweepers and give you a good way to deal with Terrakion. After all of SD Scizor's threats have been eliminated, she can easily pull of a sweep as well.

Without Jirachi, you will have no source of hazards, which is always something you don't want. I suggest a Ferrothorn over Gyarados. This will give you a source of hazards, and a better way to deal with Dragon Dancers like Haxorus and Dragonite which could be problematic as you stated in your threat list. A spread of 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD with a Relaxed nature allows you to take two +1 Earthquakes from Haxorus and deal a lot of damage back with Gyro Ball. A move set of Gyro Ball | Power Whip | Stealth Rocks | Spikes/Leech Seed would work best here.

Toxicroak definitely looks like a problem for this team. A quick fix to this would be to run a Choice Scarf Toed over your current set. A set of Hydro Pump | Ice Beam | Psychic | Perish Song 252 SpA / 252 Spd with a Timid nature would allow you to kill Toxicroak, dent Conkeldurr, out speed +1 Dragonite, and stop pesky BP chains / sweepers from demolishing your team.

GL!

PS: Hope your elbow feels better :P

Cool team, SubRoost DDNite is great, it sets up on almost anything and is very hard to stop when it gets going.

Terrakion is definitely the main threat to this team as you said. It's hard for Terrakion to set up a Swords Dance, but if it manages to do so your a goner. It can even threaten your team without any setup, as Jolly LO Terrakion can threaten your whole team with just Close Combat and Stone Edge, being able to 2HKO everything. Choice Band Terrakion is threatening but can be played around imo thanks to CB locking it into one move.
Jolteon can also cause your team a lot of trouble, 2HKOing everything but full-health Breloom on your team with Specs Thunder. Life Orb Jolteon can just rip through your team with Thunder and Hidden Power Ice if Breloom is a little weakened. Breloom can't OHKO Jolteon either. Substitute Jolteon is the most threatening out of all though, setting up on Jirachi, Politoed, Gyarados, or Tentacruel, and then 2HKOes Breloom to sweep your team. Zapdos is also troublesome as a Life Orb sweeper as it walls your Breloom, with Seed Bomb and Drain Punch both doing a pathetic 20%, which can easily be Roosted off. The rest of your team easily falls to strong Thunders, and Hidden Power Ice for Dragonite who can't exactly threaten Zapdos either.

Now, it might be worth trying a Claydol over Tentacruel. Tentacruel is great in rain, but it just adds to your Electric weakness in my opinion. Claydol, on the other hand, easily counters Terrakion with resistance to both STAB moves, and great bulk. He can then take out Terrakion with STAB Earthquake even in the sand. Electric-types, on the other hand, are also handled by Claydol (with the right EV spread) and taken out with Earthquake / Ice Beam. Claydol is also able to use Stealth Rock, letting you free up a slot on Jirachi so you can use Iron Head, which is really a must on Jirachi. Even if you decide not to use Claydol, you really should use Iron Head > Protect on Jirachi, as Iron Head is just so important for taking on many threats such as Latias. Anyways, the exact set for Claydol is:

Claydol @ Leftovers | Levitate
Sassy | 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Stealth Rock / Rapid Spin / Earthquake / Ice Beam

With this EV spread, you avoid the 2HKO after two Stealth Rocks switchins from Life Orb Jolteon's Hidden Power Ice or Grass. That way, you can easily handle all Electric-type with Claydol and Breloom. Choice Band Terrakion, on the other hand, still doesn't 2HKO with Close Combat, so this spread should work.

Good luck!

Haha, interesting solution, Tomahawk :D. He's right - Jirachi is half as effective without Iron Head; I suggest you stick with it a little longer. It really helps finish off dangerous threats, such as CM Latios and Virizion once they are paralyzed. If you really need Protect, though, adding Stealth Rock on a different mon is a good approach that Tomahawk has recommended. I'd probably recommend Forretress or Donphan for the dual SR / Rapid Spin support, though, since they provide enough Terrakion coverage in combination with Gyarados & Jirachi.

What your team really need is Speed - it's too defensive. I suggest you Scarf Politoed so you can finish off Terrakion, Tornadus, Gengar, 50% Starmie, and +1 Dragonite.

The only way to bolster your coverage against Electric-types is to add Gastrodon or a specially-defensive Celebi. Claydol is an effective stopper to Jolteon, but falls short against Raikou with Weather Ball and Zapdos. I'd go with Celebi, since you want something that can break through Jellicent / Ferrothorn / Gastrodon (Nasty Plot) and absorb status (Natural Cure). Celebi has an added benefit of being a decent check to Terrakion and CM Jirachi, as well as providing further paralysis support to this team. Its weakness to U-turn and Pursuit may make your team struggle more against Volt-Turn and Tyranitar, however. Iron Head on Jirachi makes Tyranitar lesser of a problem.

In short:
~ Iron Head on Jirachi
~ Either Tomahawk's Claydol or Donphan / Forretress
~ Scarf Politoed
~ Specially-Defensive Celebi > Breloom

Donphan @ Leftovers | Sturdy
Impish | 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Earthquake | Stone Edge | Rapid Spin | Stealth Rock

Forretress @ Leftovers | Sturdy
Relaxed | 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def | Spe IVs: 0
Gyro Ball | Stealth Rock | Rapid Spin | Volt Switch

Politoed @ Choice Scarf | Drizzle
Timid | 12 Def / 252 SpA / 244 Spe
Surf / Scald | Hydro Pump | Ice Beam | Hypnosis / Toxic

Celebi @ Leftovers | Natural Cure
Calm | 252 HP / 8 SpA / 248 SpD
Giga Drain | Earth Power | Nasty Plot | Thunder Wave / Leech Seed

Note: With those EVs, Starmie's LO Ice Beam fails to 2HKO after Rocks most of the time. With 2 Nasty Plot's under its belt, Celebi can 3HKO Ferrothorn with Earth Power. Thunder Wave is a great utility move, but Leech Seed comes in handy against Chansey / Blissey

Yo man! Thanks for the rate.

Yeah I had tried a SpDef Scizor on a different variation on this team. Unfortunately taking out Jirachi and Gyarados eliminates the Thunder Wave support, which is the main focus of the team with SubDDnite.

Def gunna try Scarf 'toed, my team desperately needs speed and thats a great way to get it. I had used a bulky 'toed to win weather wars, but with Wish support Scarf Politoed could be really great.

Thanks again man, and yeah I hope it feels better too haha

Cool team, SubRoost DDNite is great, it sets up on almost anything and is very hard to stop when it gets going.

Terrakion is definitely the main threat to this team as you said. It's hard for Terrakion to set up a Swords Dance, but if it manages to do so your a goner. Claydol, hm thats an interesting choice! I would love to have a Ground type haha, if just to have someone to take Electric attacks. Yeah Jolteon is a threat, they need to update the OU offensive threatlist though haha. Claydol would help a lot I think. I'm definitely gunna try it out, as then I can use Iron Head over Protect :D wooo!

Thanks man!

Yeah, first off, I'm gunna try Scarf 'toed right away. You guys convinced me haha.

I'm gunna try Donphan and Forretress out along with Claydol. Donphan looks like it could help a lot, Ice Shard is great utility.

Celebi is a great idea! While I would hate to lose Breloom, I had really only put him there cause of Volt-turn and because I've used him so much recently. I'll get back to you on Celebi. Also I can't wait to have Iron Head on Jirachi again xD

Thanks again man

Hey, sorry about getting to this late. I had a physics lab report due today and I procrastinated until yesterday. Now, as Tomahawk and Pocket already touched on. Jirachi's best trait is that 60% flinch rate Iron Head without a doubt. With regards to Wish, most of the time, Jirachi shouldn't even be the one getting healed by Wish, you should be passing those to someone like, say, Dragonite. The Speed also isn't particularly important on Jirachi, as its main job is to take Draco Meteors from monster Special Attackers such as Latios. I would suggest going with a Sassy nature and 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD for maximal bulk.

Now, as you've already identified, Terrakion just shreds your team to dust. I'm going to second Tomahawk's Claydol set over Tentacruel should work just fine. This also solves the whole Protect vs Iron Head crisis on Jirachi. Although if you opt not to make the switch to Claydol, Iron Head is far more valuable than Protect. Something to note is that your team benefits much more from paralysis than poison. Your team isn't particularly stall-ish. Tentacruel's main niche is its ability to single handedly make Rain stall dominant. Your team relies a lot upon Gyarados and Jirachi to spread paralysis though, and it would just suck if some random Pokemon you wanted paralyzed got poisoned instead. Honestly, the only possible advantage of using Tentacruel over Claydol is that it absorbs Toxic Spikes. But the only Pokemon on your team affected by it is Politoed.

Finally, I can see opposing Bulk Up Breloom being a pain in the neck. All you can do is phaze it out with Gyarados, while Breloom will just come back later anyways and continue where it left off. Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and co's hazards shouldn't be too great an issue, as Claydol or Tentacruel can dispose of them. Therefore, I think you should consider Bounce over Taunt on Gyara. This allows provides you with a way to hit Toxicroak, Celebi, and other annoying Pokemon.

GL
Iron Head>Protect/Stealth Rock+new EVs on Jirachi
pros: Iron Head hax wins games, better bulk for taking Meteors
cons: not much really, since that extra Speed doesn't help much

Claydol>Tentacruel
pros: checks Landorus, Terrakion, and other troublesome threats, provides Stealth Rock
cons: can't absorb Toxic Spikes, but your team doesn't really mind T-Spikes

Bounce>Taunt on Gyarados
pros: takes out troublesome Fighting types such as Breloom, Toxicroak etc
cons: Skarmory becomes slightly more annoying

Jirachi @ Leftovers

And Jirachi does what exactly to threaten Breloom? Thunder won't do anything because Breloom is already Poisoned. Iron Head flinches are fine and dandy, but a +1 Defense Breloom pretty much heals as much damage per turn as Iron Head inflicts.

Hey

Really good team you have here. However your team has a glaring weakness against Offensive Starmie. It is a major threat because none of your mons can actually wall mighty Starmie under rain. Jirachi easily gets 2HKO'd by Hydro Pump on the switch ins paired with potential entry hazards, Politoed and Gyarados fear Thunder, Tentacruel and Breloom get OHKO'd by Psyshock which has became more common on the Life Orb variants these days; Dragonite doesn't stand a chance versus 4x Ice Beam. I would recommend switching Gyarados for Physically Defensive Gastrodon. This mon has rapidly climbed up usage rates, making it a solid check some to the tier's most threatening special sweepers whilst still maintaining an offensive presence and thanks to Storm Drain which makes Water-type moves useless on it. Gastrodon is an excellent Starmie counter as it can either threaten the opponent offensively using its excellent coverage and STAB (with a possible Storm Drain boost), status a switch-in, or simply Recover off any damage to scout the opponent's decision. Earthquake is the primary attack and it allows Gastrodon to prevent powerful threats such as Volcarona, Tyranitar, Politoed, and Sub + Calm Mind Jirachi to set up on it. Ice Beam is chosen over Scald because it gives Gastrodon coverage against top threats such as Latios, Dragonite, and other common targets like Gliscor and Salamence should you get them on the switch. It's nice to get a burn off Scald but by doing it just opens you to other major threats who could be problematic later on. Toxic and Recover are there for obvious reasons. Gastrodon benefits your team in so many ways; provides you with an electric resist, spreads statuses to levitators, and make a solid synergy within your team.

Gastrodon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam / Scald
- Toxic
- Recover

Now since Gyarados is gone for good, you lack a sturdy fighting resist. Jirachi seems like the weakest link to this team as it fails to wall opposing threats accordingly. It's only major role at the moment is to pass wish and provide you with stealth rock support. With Gastrodon added you have a Rock-type resist and to accommodate with that, I would suggest running Deoxys-D over Jirachi. Deoxys-D provides you with Psychic and Fighting resists, it is also a very versatile Pokemon, and it can easily utilize many other options on its sets. With the right support, it can be used to great effect. With such a huge amount of special bulk, Deoxys-D can set up on almost any of the absurdly powerful special threats in the tier, including Reuniclus. Deoxys-D can also single-handedly defeat Virizion, Reuniclus, and Rotom-W, all of which are top threats to this team. You can use Deoxys-D as either Spikes or Stealth Rock supporter. Taunt is to stop opposing setup and keeping Deoxys-D free of status. Recover is obvious on any defensive Pokemon and provides Deoxys-D with a great way to stick around. Night Shade gives Deoxys-D some sort of an attacking move which deals consistent damage. Pressure also comes in handy as it makes stalling much simpler. Deoxys-D makes an excellent core with Breloom, Gastrodon and Tentacruel providing perfect coverage. You can use Thunder Wave over Taunt to cripple fighting mons such as Terrakion who intends to set up freely. Good Luck!

Deoxys-D @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Taunt / Thunder Wave
- Recover
- Night Shade
- Stealth Rock

Thanks man! Yeah I'm changing those EVs right now :D, those are a relic of the 246 days. Yup, Claydol is getting his time in the limelight, its interesting I had put Tentacruel on this team because it was bulky and in rain. Seemed like a match made in heaven but Claydol is great.

Bounce on Gyarados is awesome!! Really cool catch, you're totally right about the BU Breloom weakness and this is such a simple smooth change.

Thanks again.

Thanks man, this is a great rate.

I'm gunna try out those walls, but unfortunately I'm afraid of losing my Paralyzing support my current core brings. They were kinda the main focus of the team, aiding in a SubDDnite sweep. I'm gunna give them a go but without the Para support, the whole team might as well get changed :)

Anyway thanks again, and I'm sure to try them out.

Thanks guys!!

I think SubDD nite functions a lot more efficiently as a Toxic Staller, mostwanted almost gets with the way I'm thinking Sub DD nite could work, especially in a balanced team like yours. However, I wouldn't replace Jirachi since it is a critical part of your defense against Reuniclus and other special attackers (use Iron Head!). This rate is mainly going to be EV changes. For Jirachi, just run sassy and 252 HP / 252 SpDef / 4 Atk, the extra speed is really a vestigial decision from an outdated metagame. Even though Toxic Spikes seems a little useless, using it on Tentacreul should prove to you very helpful in getting rid of problem mons like Blissey. The main absorbers are Tenta, Croak and Roserade/Venusaur, all of which your team deals with relatively easily, especially with Gyarados around, who has great synergy with Jirachi for Wish passing. Cb dragons are a pretty big problem too (especially Haxorus, any type), I'm not sure why other raters haven't capitalized on this weakness yet (except Thundur's rate). You can kind of mitigate the problem with Gyarados, but if you wanted to make a big change, Ferrothorn > Breloom and Scizor > Jirachi works too. The volt turn stuff gets a little more annoying, but with a solid rapid spinner, I don't think it'll be a problem.

lastly, dragonite wants 252 HP / 80 Def / 16 SDef / 160 Spd and a careful nature to do some real stalling and sweeping late game. it's the same spread stone used, and I find the bulk more appealing than the speed. gl mate, sorry for coming to this so slow
