Similar to this thread, this thread is designed to compile database errors so you guys can stop posting in the small changes thread!

Here's some examples of the stuff that belongs in this thread. Don't expect this stuff to get changed right away though, this is for stuff down the road.

P.S. I won't be updating the OP regularly, so don't bother me to do so! Eventually stuff will get put in Hide tags.

Basculin-B is missing an ability. It's abilities should be:

Reckless
Rock Head
Adaptability
Mold Breaker
http://www.smogon.com/bw/pokemon/darmanitan-z

This page only covers Darmanitan's Zen Mode. Which is only possible for Darmanitan with Zen Mode. And yet, the page lists Sheer Force as one of its possible abilities.
Couldn't find that site error thread so I guess I'll post here

What's up with the B/W Stealth Rock page? Loads of Pokemon are missing from the list:

http://www.smogon.com/bw/moves/stealth_rock
The following post concerns a database error. I couldn't find the relevant thread, so, considering this change is fairly objective, I figured I'd post it here.

I don't know how widespread this problem is, and it may be limited to this one instance, but Metagross both lacks Stealth Rock on its "moves" page and is not listed under Stealth Rock's recipients. Evidence: 1 2

Edit: And obviously, Metagross gets the move. One of its sets is titled "Stealth Rock", and Metagross was well-known as a Stealth Rock setter in 4th gen.

Edit2: OK, the error is not confined to a single Pokémon. The Pokémon not on the Stealth Rock list who do in fact learn the move (This list is not necessarily complete by any means):

Metagross
Celebi
Aerodactyl
Blissey
Azelf
Bronzong
Jirachi
Empoleon
Infernape
Swampert
Hippowdon
Heatran
Gliscor (Can learn it if lacking Poison Heal)
Wormadam (Extremely important!!!)

There are more.

Edit: Oh jesus this was already posted.
@Fizz
The list of Pokemon that can learn Stealth Rock in the Black and White page apparently only include Pokemon that can learn the move in-game. With Metagross and those other examples, you can teach them Stealth Rock in the fourth generation games and then migrate them over to the fifth generation games. However, they can't learn Stealth Rock in the fifth generation games, so they aren't on that list.
@Professor Lamb,

Understood. But was this intentional? I suppose I can understand why Pokémon who only learn it in 4th gen wouldn't be listed for in-game purposes, but Smogon is first and foremost a competitive community, and it seems ludicrous that when I go to the Stealth Rock page to see which Pokémon can set it up, I'm met with an impartial list. Especially when Metagross, for instance, has a set called "Stealth Rock" but doesn't show up on the list.

How is this in any way advantageous? Smogon's move lists are now at the very least incredibly confusing (with examples such as the above or Seismic Toss being listed on Blissey's analysis but not her "moves" page), and are likely now effectively useless to a competitive battler.

Torkoal is missing the following moves, although they're not all important, Stealth Rock and Earth Power are listed on a set and not in the 'moves' section.

Iron Tail - Gen 4 TM
Secret Power - Gen 4 TM
Earth Power - Gen 4 tutor
Captivate - Gen 4 TM
Stealth Rock - Gen 4 TM / Dream World(?)
Natural Gift - Gen 4 TM
Snore - Gen 4 tutor
Mud Slap - Gen 4 tutor
Rollout - Gen 4 tutor
Headbutt - Gen 4 tutor

By the looks of things, most BW Pokemon are missing moves they can get via Gen 4 and be transferred.

Chansey and Blissey aren't listed as learning Wish on the Wish page.

Wobbuffet and Wynaut aren't listed as learning Tickle.

Linoone, Zigzagoon, Suicune, Entei, and Raikou aren't listed as learning Extremespeed.

Darkrai and Arceus aren't listed as learning Spacial Rend or Roar of Time.

Also, none of these Pokemon have the moves listed on their moves pages either.

That's all of the event exclusive moves I can think of.

The current Move Dex only lists the moves they can learn in Gen 5. It does not list tutor/event moves from Gen VI or III.

Why is this though? As has been said before, Smogon is first and foremost a competitive community; if people wanted to know what Pokemon learns what move from just one specific generation then they can look at sites like this and this for that information. If the moderators have a reason for this not being so, then all these complaints about certain Pokemon not having a certain move can be eliminated.

While we're on the note of moves from a previous generation, though, let's talk about GenIII learnsets (I'm not sure if this has already been called to attention, so forgive me if it has). Through Pal Park, Pokemon which learned a TM or tutor move from the third generation could be transfered over to the fourth generation. Thus, even if a Pokemon didn't learn a move in the fourth generation, it could still have the move even in the fifth generation if it learned it in the third generation.

It's not like we don't want our database to be complete, it's the fact that nobody except those with root access (i.e. about 2 of the current admins) are able to fix the current moveset errors.

Obviously if we could fix it we would. How dumb would it be for us to say "nope we aren't going to list every move they can learn cuz we feel like it."

That's because it's under the NFE tag. Our Strategydex only lists analyses for those fully evolved Pokemon and some NFEs that are usable in some tier, and most middle evolutions such as Vibrava are so bad that they aren't even usable in NU.

There is a message under "Pokemon" on the Strategydex page that says "Change your preferences here." Click the here and you'll be taken to this page and from there you can change the tier threshold from Limbo to NFE.

Ahhhh, that makes perfect sense, I can't believe I didn't catch the preferences link. Anyway, I'm not surprised that it is that bad. Sorry about that!

Chansey move set

On the counter set, it lists: Softboiled / Wish as a move, but since wish was an event move, and counter is an egg move, I'm pretty sure she can't have both in the same set. Right?

Counter was also a 3rd Gen Tutor attack and is legal with Wish.

Edit: This is also pretty silly and minor, but Gligar and Gliscor are missing Dream Eater from their 4th and 5th gen movepools. They could learn the attack by tutor in FRLGE, but lost the ability to learn it by TM in later gens, a lot like the way Qwilfish learns Swords Dance.

http://www.smogon.com/bw/moves/feint

Feint's Base Power is listed as 50 in the BW section, despite having its Base Power reduced to 30 in Gen 5. This error is also shown in the move lists of the Pokemon that learn Feint.

Komodo edit: Higher ranked staff can edit this; super mods/admins help me out here?

http://www.smogon.com/bw/moves/volt_switch

Herdier and Victini are listed as receiving the move. Moreover, they are listed as the only Pokémon to receive the move.

Edit: I set the tier threshold to NFE (if that makes a difference), and I now realize that the problem isn't limited to Volt Switch. For instance, Sucker Punch is listed as being learned by Emboar and Serperior, Hidden Power by literally five Pokémon, and Leech Seed by Liepard.

Wonder what's up.

There are a lot of errors with hydreigon's movepool in the strategydex. It says he gets recover and future sight (pretty sure he doesn't get these). In addition to this, he's missing a ton of his moves. Forgot to say it also says he gets hammer arm. Fairly certain he doesn't get that either.

The whole Database for 5th gen seems to be fucked up at the moment there are also a lot pokeon who have absolutly no moves listed in their 5th gen move list.

the movedex is glitched at the moment and the sprites for unova mons are also not showing up, these are known problems which will hopefully be fixed posthaste

The thing about Basculin-B and the Rock Head ability is it cannot have Egg moves, it can only be Adamant nature, and its IVs can only be 20/31/20/20/20/20.

EDIT: It's been fixed in Black 2/White 2, so now Blue-striped Basculin can have Rock Head naturally.
