Okay, I'm a little confused on a combo. One of the players in a battle I'm reffing is using Seismic Toss + Pursuit to negate a bounce. How should I calculate the damage on that? Should it be the variable damage from pursuit plus the fixed damage from seismic toss? Or is it just fixed damage altogether?

If a Pokemon ordered to attack first uses U-Turn and brings in a new Pokemon, does the new Pokemon coming in also have to order commands first? Thanks.

In Round 1, Scizor is ordering first against an opponent's Starmie. Scizor uses U-Turn and switches into Roserade. In Round 2, does Roserade order first as well?

Yes.

Thus, proper strategic use of switching moves is to use them when ordering second, since you're ordering first next round anyway. This denies the opponent a chance to counterswitch, in addition to a couple of other advantages.

Or, to constantly force your opponent not to be able to use moves with Subs. Example:

Filler *3
IF Foe uses Taunt, use Magic Coat

And you have no fear of being Taunted for 3a. Not really applicable in your example, but still, Enjoy. =]

  1. Go here
  2. Select the SynIRC server
  3. Enter your desired IRC username into the nick box. This can be the same as your Smogon name but doesn't have to be.
  4. Hit connect.
  5. If Mibbit asks you for a password, type /msg NickServ identify <password>, where <password> is the password you used to register your name, and then type /join #capasb.
  6. If Mibbit does not ask you for a password, then the nick you are using is not registered.
    • To register your nick, type /msg NickServ register <password> <email> where <password> is your desired password and <email> is your email address.
    • Doing this should cause you to receive an email with a special passcode in it. Type /msg NickServ confirm <passcode> where <passcode> is that passcode you received. Your nick should now be registered to you.
    • Then proceed to step 5.

You can change it whenever you like. However, it isn't free. It costs 7 CC to change a pokemon's nature, and you need to post that you're doing it in the Prize Claim Thread.

would a Pursuit+Dynamic Punch combo hit a digging opponent that was staying under? or does the priority mess it up?
Pursuit's DAT Description said:
If used on an opposing Pokemon ordered to Bounce, Dig, Dive, Dodge, Double Team, Fly, Take Cover, Teleport, U-turn, Volt Change, Double Team, Minimize, or execute any other evasive action, Pursuit's Base Attack Power increases from four (4) to eight (8). Pursuit ordinarily has zero priority and an accuracy check, but it will always strike before an opponent uses an evasive action.
So technically, yes, iirc.

Actually EspyOwner:

Dodge's description in DAT said:
Dodge can evade any attack except for attacks that do not have an accuracy check (this includes Thunder in Rain and Blizzard in Hail) or are influenced by Lagging Tail, Lock-On, No Guard, Mind Reader, or Telekinesis.
It says nothing about multi-target attacks, so yes, Dodge can evade Earthquake and the like.

Okay, just wondering if I was to use simple beam on pokemon who used shell smash would they gain double the same as if in game? Because permanent +4 +4 +4 would be broken.
