Challenge The Scramble Challenge - Mark 2

^I like the bullet points, they're punchy and quick. It'll be cool to see how your Bidoof's movepool changes over the course of the challenge!

Hi I'd like to have a scramble challenge for Leafgreen, with no trading, and I'd like to have an easy challenge with a team (that I will bond with and become attached to) that has: 1. The team is a team of assassins. 2. No starters.

Oh yeah and I would like to possibly record this and put it on youtube so if you know of a free GBA LeafGreen emulator(for Mac not PC) and a free Screen Recorder (for Mac not PC) that would be awesome

Edit: I now have my team, it is as follows

1.
Take Hunter the Gutsy Rattata.

Hunter is a Bounty Hunter and must find the biggest crime boss in Kanto. No, the boss isn't Geovanni, but its someone worse!!

before he can capture the boss, he has to capture his 8 minions. Solo one Gym trainer from every gym without healing.

After he has captured the 8 minions, you find out that your Rival was the boss's second-in-command the whole time!! Solo him before entering Victory Road using no more than 6 healing items.

After defeating your rival, he tells you that the boss is the first E4 member!! Take her out and collect your payment!!

Summary:
- Catch a male Rattata with Guts.
- Name it Hunter.
- Solo one Gym trainer in each Gym without healing.
- Solo your Rival before Victory Road after you get all 8 badges.
- Solo the first E4 member.
2.
nJoyUrAIDs, take Volke the Meowth. Volke's highest priority is getting paid, with getting the job done being right behind it. The way he gets money aside from fulfilling contracts is also by thievery. As such, Volke must always know Thief. However, he only discloses his true identity to those who hire him. Have Volke use Thief in 5 major battles and toss p50,000 worth of items to evolve him. Because he revealed his identity as an assassin, whenever he's in battle, he must solo at least one Pokemon on the opponent's team. Also, as he always fulfills his contracts, he fulfills the one he signed with you: to take out Bruno. (solo him)
Have fun!
3.
@nJoyUrAIDs

Get yourself a Spearow, and name it Jack. Jack Spearow is a well know pirate who joined your little assassin crew. However, he expects to get quite a bit of the booty. So, you must teach every TM you get that he can learn to him. He must also be holding an item whenever possible. Another thing about Jack is that he's almost impossible to catch. So, whenever he's in the red, he must switch out. Oh, and he rather likes Misty, so you must solo her with Jack, so he can prove himself to her and show that he's king of the seas.

BONUS CHALLENGE: (this is optional and gives you an added challenge) Let's face it, Captain Jack Spearow sounds so much better than Jack Fearow, so don't evolve him.

GL with your scramble!
4.
@nJoyUrAIDs

Take Jaffar the Kabuto. Revive it from a fossil as soon as possible, and then evolve it as soon as possible. It has three people on it's hit list, Blaine, Agatha, and your Rival's Rhydon in the final Rival Battle. In order to kill off these people, they must be soloed, but the move to finish them off must be Slash.
5.
nJoyUrAIDs you get Ninja the Sandshrew. This ninja likes stealthy escapes so must use sand attack before it switches out or have Sandstorm up. Earthquake is too loud for a ninja so its only ground move can be Dig. This ninja also prefers hand to hand combat so must use Slash to Ko opponents(once learned until then use scratch). If not it must switch out. Must solo Koga's entire gym including Koga to prove he is the best Ninja.
6.
nJoyUrAIDs you shall recieve Boomward, the geodude. Boomward is the explosive specialist of your band of assasins and must learn selfdestruct as soon as possible (you may replace with explosion when possible). Furthermore, Boomward is very vengeful and everytime an opposing pokemon makes him enter red health, you cannot switch and he must explode on them, taking them with him in the process.
(you may forgo exploding if Boomward is your last poke)

If you prefer: you can change geodude to Koffing (found in Celedon city if you Surf I think, but it's rare). Same rules apply but it'll know self-destruct when you catch it.

Additional challenges (optional), and in increasing order of difficulty

Boomward wants to prove to the world that it is the best explosive expert in the world. Any time self-destruct or explosion is used against you in the game (even if it was a wild pokemon), The next attack you use must be Boomward's exploding move.

Boomward may only evolve on time if it Solo's half of either misty's or erikca's team (you only need to succeed against one) without exploding moves (the fact that it must explode if red is still in effect here). If it fails, you must wait until learning explosion to evolve. (If you choose Koffing you must force it to stay a koffing until Soloing half of Blaine's or Sabrina's team. If it fails against both, you must wait until the pokemon league to evolve)

Every time Boomward explodes and fails to bring down the opposing pokemon (yes this includes ghost types), you must immediately go to the nearest pokemart and sell all of your revival and health potions (Boomward missfired and blew them all up) and cannot buy healing items again until the gym badge is obtained. If you have all gym badges, you must defeat the elite four to buy healing items.

Furret162, take Tired the Abra. Tired is constantly tired, and as such has trouble focusing on things. In fact, Tired is so tired, it can only stay in battle for 3 turns. Also, it slept through the "how to evolve" lecture, and as such can't evolve. Its parents noticed that whenever Tired held on to something, it often lost it, and as such isn't allowed to hold items. Finally, Tired decides to solo Agatha's Ghost-types, as their bretheren gave it nightmares when it was in Lavender Town.
Have as much fun as you can!

nJoyUrAIDs, take Volke the Meowth. Volke's highest priority is getting paid, with getting the job done being right behind it. The way he gets money aside from fulfilling contracts is by thievery. @Pippy

I'm really liking the bullet point style updates as well. Keep it up!

In order to kill off these people, they must be soloed, but the move to finish them off must be Slash.

Furret162, you must take Sleepy the Snorlax. Whenever it comes into battle it must first use Yawn, followed the next turn with Rest, after this Sleepy can have either Snore or Sleep Talk as it's third move. For its fourth move your free to use any move you want. Also Sleepy doesn't like any people that are very active they make him feel self-conscious about his weight, therefore it must solo any people that are being active within sight of you.

nJoyUrAIDs you get Ninja the Sandshrew. This ninja likes stealthy escapes so must use sand attack before it switches out or have Sandstorm up. Sorry for double posting, but I wanted to make a Platinum Scramble Challenge.

Difficulty: Insane
Team: I'm OK with using everything except Magikarp (this includes things like Combee and other banned Scramble pokes. If you make me use Caterpie and the like, they must be able to evolve somehow to their final form by at least the 5th gym)
Ability to Trade: I can use pokemon from Emerald (up to Lilycove City) and any pokemon from Pearl in addtion to my Platinum Game
Specifications: I don't want any Pokemon center restrictions. All other rules are fine.

Nov you get Headstrong the Poochyena. Headstrong wants to Prove his power by only using moves it can have in the 3rd gen. This also applies to abilities, items and anything else. This means that all Dark moves are Special so it must learn Shadowball ASAP since it was physical In gen 3. To evolve Headstrong must solo Fantina's Duskull. From now on he must solo any trainer or gym leader owned 3rd gen poke unless it interferes with another solo. Good Luck
@nov

Insane you say? Well I have something insane for you. Take Insane the Chimchar. As his name would imply, he's insane. As such, when he uses a move, he just goes nuts with it and catch switch moves for the rest of the battle (unless he switches out). Also, whenever he's about to learn a new move, you must flip a coin. If heads, he learns it, if tails, he doesn't. He also not mentally sound enough to learn TMs or HMs. Even the the people that teach moves can't teach him anything. Oh, and he's also confused about typing: he thinks that types that hit him super effectively hit him for not very effective damage, so he must solo any Pokemon with a type advantage against him. Speaking of which, to evovle, he must solo a gym leader that has a SE type. (to evolve into Infernape, he has to beat another one) Oh, and one more thing, he's so crazy, that he can't use any items, including healing items.

Have fun with your mental Chimchar! And Gl!
Trade for Charap the Chatot as soon as you can. You must learn a moveset of all Sound based moves as soon as you can as well. You can never learn Hyper Voice however. You must solo either Byron or Volkner, or for added challange, both. Best of luck!
Well, you asked for insane...
nov, you get Hive Mind the Combee!
-He can't fight other bug types
-Must kill all pokemon with flowers on them
-Must solo 3rd elite 4 member
-Must keep starting moves
-May evolve after the 5th gym, but you must solo at least 2 trainers in it.

Still need 2 more pokes (if anyone wants to suggest a Luvdisc, I'd actually be quite excited to go through the game with one (and would be willing to make the trip for it on emerald), but I have no idea what rules to put on it.)

To evolve Headstrong must solo Fantina's Duskull. From now on he must solo any trainer or gym leader owned 3rd gen poke unless it interferes with another solo. Good Luck

@DEMo Gorgon47 you get Peppy the Stunky. May only use non Stab Moves. Must Ko opponents with Hidden Power. Can't use super effective attacks apart from Hidden Power to Ko. Must always lead with Attract no matter what.

Sorry for the double post, but it's an Update!
After some training, I beat Koga, but now the hard part: Soloing Sabrina with a Venomoth. Yep...

Update 1
Update 2
Update 3
Update 4
Update 4.5

Well, I found that the Bikers were great training for Psycho due to the Poison and Fighting types, leading to evolution and a rapid rise through the levels. I also slapped a few TMs onto Flubber for the time being, but might not keep them. Obscure also learned Body Slam through training, making him a more viable option for battles. Still fairly pleased with just about everyone on the team with no complaints. Koga went down so easy, I actually soloed him with Psycho. Now for Sabrina... I have a plan actually. I'm going to do Silph Co., and skip the Gym for now. I'm actually going to go and try to fight Blaine first, hopefully, and solo him with Obscure, hopefully. (Actually I have too.) Then, I'm going to go to the Sevii Islands, and get to the move relearner, and teach Psycho Silver Wind. (I already have the Mushrooms for it.) Then, I ran some damage calculations, and Silver Wind should OHKO most of Sabrina's Pokemon. I might just keep resetting until I get the boosts from Silver Wind first turn though, so we'll see. I really need Psycho at like level 45-50 though, so grinding might be involved. That's the plan, sticking to it. Also, haven't used Flubber at all yet, so I need Silph Co. as it hods 10 Scientists that I need to solo.

Flubber the Grimer (F) @ None
Lvl. 39/Docile/Stench
-Sludge
-Taunt
-Flamethrower
-Shock Wave
Comments: I haven't used it yet. At all. I mean, I got it overleveled, so what do you expect? Soon, it will battle 10 Scientists, and then I can start using it. Soon. Current LVP

Pacifist the Venasaur (M) @ Miracle Seed
Lvl. 38/Lax/Overgrow
-Strength
-Toxic
-Leech Seed
-Razor Leaf
Comments: I mean, before, the whole stalling out the Pokemon strategy worked, but now that most Pokemon have 100+ HP, it's getting repetitive. I wish it was Gen 1 so I could exploit the Toxic/Leech Seed trick. Oh well.

Meow Mix the Persian (M) @ None
Lvl. 39/Modest/Limber
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Water Pulse
-Bite
-Pay Day
Comments: Hasn't gotten any worse, it's just the fact that nothing has changed. I tried out Water Pulse, and it is effective, but really only for certain situations.

Obscure the Jigglypuff (M) @ Quick Claw
Lvl. 39/Impish/Cute Charm
-Pound
-Mimic
-Rollout
-Body Slam
Comments: Body Slam saved Obscure. It's powerful, can make things slower than Obscure, and works wonders. I was fearing the Blaine solo, but now, with some grinding, I think I can make it work. Quick Claw is great on this thing too.

Mama the Kangaskhan (F) @ None
Lvl. 41/Docile/Early Bird
-Fake Out
-Surf
-Strength
-Cut
Comments: How the mighty must fall. The transformation has begun. Surf over the much more useful Bite. Strength over Mega Punch, which was actually welcome, as the same BP, but with better accuracy. Unfortunately, I really like using Fake Out, but soon that will go too. Still great, but starting to get worse.

Psycho the Venomoth (F) @ None
Lvl. 40/Rash/Compound Eyes
-Psychic
-Leech Life
-Supersonic
-Gust
Comments: Psycho surprised me. I mean, leading with Psychic moves is fine, cause most of the time, that's the smart choice. Psycho boasts the best Sp. Attack on my team as well, which is great. I just hope that the solo ends up working out. Current MVP

@ Rodan: accepted the Voltorb

Still need a starter, so I can begin my journey!
Reserving for Stephan while typing...

[Edit] You get War Addict, the Charmander. He is addicted to war. He must participate in every gym battle. He must also never use a fire type on humanoid pokemon, because flamethrowers are illegal in modern combat. He may be healed in the field once every 5 battles. This doesn't stack, wild may only count for 4 of the 5. Have fun!

Blaine... Blaine! BLAINE!!!! F**KING BLAINE!!!!!!!!!!

Update 1
Update 2
Update 3
Update 4
Update 4.5
Update 5

Silph Co., it went well, all of the Scientists were soloed easily, and Flubber evolved at Level 43, lucky for me, as I snagged Sludge Bomb early as a result. Flubber started to be really useful as well, doing great in the Rival Battle in Silph. Giovanni was soloed by Mama, easily I might add, Surf being helpful on Rhyhorn. I trained Psycho at the Fighting Dojo, and like I mentioned last time, skipped Sabrina and went back to Pallet to head to Cinnabar. I did that, and was training Obscure all through Pokemon Mansion, because of Blaine. I had to solo Blaine, with a Jigglypuff. With no TMs. Admittedly, this is partially my fault. I essentially had 4, possibly 5, Gym Leaders, 2 of which, I had to solo with Obscure. I didn't want to trade it in, so Brock was out of the question. This left Misty, Erica, Koga, and Blaine. I chose to act early and soloed Misty, albeit, with difficulty, but I did it. At Erica, I was in a rush to beat her, as my team was rapidly reaching Level 31, so I attempted it once, knew I had NO chance, and went on. At Koga, I could have tried, but I already had the notion that I would solo Blaine, it would be easy, I had Rollout. I couldn't have been more wrong... Obscure had been doing great as of late too, Body Slam was a great asset, and I took out all the Gym Trainers without a hitch. Then came Blaine... Fire Blast, oh my word, Fire Blast. I thought Fire Blast was supposed to be like Blizzard and Thunder, powerful, but rarely hit. Yep, bout that "rarely hit" part. Twice. Through COUNTLESS tries against Blaine, only twice EVER did Fire Blast miss. And let me tell you, Fire Blast was used A LOT. In fact, in the end, that's how I pulled it off. I bought a dump truck load full of Hyper Potions. And stalled. Obscure didn't have great Special Defense you see, so I could barely live 1 Fire Blast. So, I would have to stall out all 5 Fire Blasts, since ALL OF THEM WOULD HIT, then Body Slam away, praying Blaine didn't heal, and I didn't get haxed too badly. I did, he didn't. I used Body Slam nearly 15 Times, maybe 2 Paralyzes. He used Bounce once, I'm paralyzed. This fight, it broke me. It broke me bad. In the end, I did it, I can say I did it. Never again. NEVER F**KING AGAIN AM I SOLOING BLAINE WITH A JIGGLYPUFF WITH NO TMS! Never again. To calm myself, I am off to the Tri Islands, since I need the Move Relearner. So, I'll do that, return to mainland Kanto, and hope that Sabrina won't be as hellish as Blaine ended up being. And trust me, I'm hoping... I'm hoping...

Pacifist the Venasaur (M) @ Miracle Seed
Lvl. 40/Lax/Overgrow
-Strength
-Toxic
-Leech Seed
-Razor Leaf
Comments: I didn't use Pacifist once this section. The level it got was from a Rare Candy so it wouldn't fall too far behind. It's just a hassle to use it. Those two Elite Four Pokemon solos? Funny that Bruno has two Onix. Current LVP

Meow Mix the Persian (M) @ None
Lvl. 42/Modest/Limber
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Water Pulse
-Bite
-Pay Day
Comments: I'm trying desperately to train this thing up, but it can only be used against a few select types. It's also frail as can be, so I would call it a Glass Cannon, but it can't hit that hard. I think I'll stick to calling Meow Mix my Glass Pistol.

Obscure the Jigglypuff (M) @ Quick Claw
Lvl. 47/Impish/Cute Charm
-Pound
-Mimic
-Rollout
-Body Slam
Comments: Oh, trust me, I still like Obscure. I wish he could have made that fight a little easier, but for what it was, I still like him. He also gets Double-Edge in two levels, so add that to his arsenal.

Flubber the Muk (F) @ None
Lvl. 44/Docile/Stench
-Sludge Bomb
-Taunt
-Flamethrower
-Shock Wave
Comments: Flubber is awesome. He's got a phenomenal moveset at the moment, and I really enjoy using him. I have that gimmicky coin flip thing once I get Explosion, but it won't matter. Flubber rarely gets into the red, and if he did somehow, he probably fought a tough fight, so an Explosion, or his "weakest move" at 90 BP, Sludge Bomb will surely finish the opponent. The future's looking bright.

Psycho the Venomoth (F) @ None
Lvl. 44/Rash/Compound Eyes
-Psychic
-Leech Life
-Supersonic
-Gust
Comments: Psycho's still doing dandy. I gave her just about every Stat-Boosting Item I found so far, all out of fear. I do think my Silver Wind strategy will work though. I sure hope it does...

Mama the Kangaskhan (F) @ None
Lvl. 45/Docile/Early Bird
-Fake Out
-Surf
-Strength
-Cut
Comments: Did I say she fell last time? I did didn't I? Well no. Mama is still a beast. She can still devastate nearly anything. I eagerly await Viridian Gym, and the Elite Four Member, who at the moment, I believe will be Lorelei. Current MVP
