Talking of swellow, if you think it dies out too fast, you can try roost over u-turn or quick attack. Roost might seems usless on such a frail mon but swellow is a protect magnet so instead of just dying in front of alomomola, it can heal while momo protects to then attack or switch out and come back later. Using a flame orb then becomes better then a toxic orb.

Munchlax (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 136 Def / 120 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Toxic / Sleep Talk / Curse

most people will expect the specially defensive set, but honestly lickilicky does that better. offensive munchlax is mainly used to get rid of jynx with pursuit, which is something that the pink blob lacks. it also has really nice special bulk—avoiding the 2hko from modest life orb samurott with the given spread—and actually packs quite the punch with return. the last slot is mainly filler to cripple physical walls or be able to kill jynx or severely hurt if you predict a lovely kiss. curse can be used to boost your stats but you're still walled by a lot of stuff so i wouldn't recommend it. munchlax shouldn't be your first choice as a sweeper but if jynx is giving you a hard time then feel free to try it out. you still shouldn't switch directly into life orb sets though since focus blast and psyshock always 2hko after stealth rocks; there's no real way to avoid this unless you drop your attack by a huge amount.

this set flourishes on balance teams that carry cleric and wish support. good partners include alomomola and vileplume; both of which enjoy having jynx gone from the match.
252 SpA Life Orb Jynx Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 120 SpD Eviolite Munchlax: 208-247 (50.6 - 60.09%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Jynx Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 136 Def Eviolite Munchlax: 165-195 (40.14 - 47.44%) -- 53.13% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Munchlax cant switch safely on Jynx with this set like you said, so you need send first another mon. I think that Resttalker is the only viable Munchlax set just w/ ww or curse, also the lacks of spinner on every NU team means that Jynx each Whirlwind she'll lose -25% of health at least. Also a set Resttalker in overall is better to take another things such Ludicolo, Gorebyss, Musharna, etc big part of special attacker on the tier, not at all outclassed by Lickilicky when Munchlax is better like pure SpD wall, status absorber, better phazer and Thick Fat is nice to take better some things (Jynx mono attacker np). If you really need something for Jynx i should use a fast pursuit like Swellow or Tauros, or a Skuntank SpD... which are a lot of better than "offensive utility munchlax" all-round.

Serperior @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 184 HP / 84 SpA / 248 Spd
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Rock]
Serperior is realy underrated in the current metagame, grass STAB is really good. The only thing that really hard walls this set is skuntank, which is easy enough to beat with the right teammates. Serperior can scare out water, rock, and ground types easily and set up a substitute. If a special attacker is sent in it can always calm mind, and if a physical attacker is sent in it can simply giga drain or HP rock, depending on the type. This set does good against sawk because it can take hits from scarfsawk and do a lot of damage with giga drain because of defense drop. Bandsawk can have sub spammed so giga drain can kill. Musharna and gardevoir can be beaten sometimes. Gardevoir switching in will be faced with a substitute or +1 SpD and SpA. If it is offensive CM it will be at a severe disadvantage. Musharna can only really be beaten if toxic spikes are in play or it is weakened. Revenge killing it with a scolipede or whatever isn't that hard though. Hidden power rock has decent surprise factor, for things like charizard and scolipede, a lot of people run hidden power ice. 248 Speed EVs allow serperior to outspeed stupid scolipedes and 2HKO with HP rock. Scarf is non existent. 184 HP is kind of excessive, but it allows serperior to never have subs broken my tangela at +1 SpD. The rest are thrown into special attack to do acceptable damage.

Pokemon that outspeed Scolipede and KO Jynx are automatically getting a lot more merit this metagame (such as Zebstrika) and I've found yet another gem in Sneasel.

<-Refresh this page enough times and the Sneasel may change genders :O
Sneasel @ Choice Band
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Foul Play
- Ice Punch / Punishment / Low Kick

So we've got ourselves good ol' Pursuit giving Jynx a hard time, this one scoring a clean OHKO on Jynx and non-Eviolite Haunter (even then it deals 85-100% to Eviolited non-switchers) no questions asked. However, Sneasel also can claim to revenge kill both SD Scolipede and SubSalac Pede, which is pretty bloody amazing if you ask me.

252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Foul Play vs 4HP/0Def 558 Attack (Jolly SD) Scolipede (Neutral): 96% - 113% (253 - 298 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO. 82% chance to OHKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Ice Shard vs 4HP/0Def Scolipede (Neutral): 33% - 39% (87 - 103 HP). Guaranteed 4HKO.
Even the cocky SubSalac Scolipede gets sniped by Ice Shard, whereas Scolipedes can't go for a Swords Dance sweep until Sneasel is rid off first. Switching in is a risk of course, but Sneasel can revenge kill the new threats so effortlessly it is worth a mention.

252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Pursuit vs 252HP/232Def Eviolite switching Misdreavus (+Def): 65% - 77% (212 - 252 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Pursuit vs 252HP/232Def Eviolite Misdreavus (+Def): 33% - 39% (108 - 128 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO.
And as always, trapping Misdreavus is always nice. Although it is not as safe as trapping the little ghostie as Skuntank or Swellow, it does pack the strongest Pursuit of the three.

252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Ice Punch vs 4HP/0Def Primeape (Neutral): 81% - 97% (223 - 264 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Ice Punch vs 4HP/0Def Sawk (Neutral): 64% - 76% (187 - 222 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Ice Punch vs 4HP/0Def -1 Sawk (Neutral): 95% - 113% (280 - 331 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO. 76% chance to OHKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Punishment vs 252HP/252Def +1 SAtk +1 SDef Musharna (+Def): 72% - 85% (318 - 374 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Punishment vs 4HP/232Def Eviolite Levitate Misdreavus (+Def): 60% - 71% (158 - 188 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
252Atk Choice Band Sneasel (Neutral) Low Kick vs 252HP/4Def Eviolite Thick Fat Munchlax (Neutral): 74% - 88% (354 - 418 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
The last move improves Sneasel's matchups against various pokemon. Ice Punch is not only great STAB and generally more reliable than Foul Play, but also nails Fighting-types too, nearly OHKOing Primeape, but they are best nailed on the switch for fear of Choice Scarf. Punishment gives Sneasel a stronger Dark-type move which can actually hurt Musharna and Misdreavus who think they are safe from Pursuit if they stay in. Low Kick not only hits Rocks and Steels that wall Sneasel to hell and back, but also hits Munchlax, who otherwise resists Sneasel's Ice attacks, hard.

Unfortunately, Sneasel's main problem in being weaker against neutral targets still remains, but his specialization is sure to come in handy in this new metagame.

Metang@ Eviolite
Clear Body
EV's 4 HP/ 252 A/ 252 Speed Adament Nature
Hone Claws
Bullet Punch
Meteor Mash
Earthquake

Very underestimated threat in this meta I believe. It is fairly difficult to 2HKO Metang without moves like earthquake or special fire moves. Metang can hit these two pretty well with meteor mash (for the typical rock/ ground types) and earthquake. Bullet punch is a great move to surprise a weaken opponent that would otherwise outspeed. Can handle three of the 4 drops pretty easily, and scolipede can do 66% max with life orb earthquake, while Metang can kill without boosts with meteor mash and bullet punch. Do you think this poke can really work?

I wouldn't max out speed on Metang, because realistically, what exactly are you outspeeding? You lose to max speed Golem (which is increasingly more common as Custap sets aren't designed to last long). You can't outspeed anything with speed. You have Bullet Punch for priority. Put the Speed EVs in HP so that you can actually tank weak hits and set up more on them.

CottonCharge Ampharos

Ampharos @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 SpDef
Calm Nature
- Cotton Guard
- Charge Beam
- Rest
- Hidden Power (Ice)

This set is so fun to use it isn't even funny. Ampharos is one of the most underrated special powerhouses in the tier; he has fantastic Special Attack and Special Defense, formidable HP, making him the perfect user of Charge Beam. What better to complement a strong Specially Defensive mon's pitiful Defense stat? The rare Cotton Guard! Cotton Guard, accompanied by Ampharos' high Special Defense, makes this set able to tank plenty of non- Super Effective hits. Getting Ampharos' Defense to +6 is surprisingly easy, and makes him incredibly bulky on either side of the spectrum. Charge Beam allows him to boost his already high Special Attack as he boosts to become an inpenitrable wall that can hit back. Rest is viable in this sense as you can take as many hits as you want, and you will most likely not be OHKOd on either side. This, coupled with Static, makes Ampharos annoying to face. Hidden Power (Ice) allows Ampharos to hit things it normally wouldn't such as Ground-Types. HP Grass could be used instead in theory, but you wouldn't be able to hit Grass-Types otherwise.

The Almighty Rampardos

Rampardos @Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Rock Polish
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt / Crunch / Fire Punch

Rampardos is often overlooked due to its horrid base 58 speed and paper-thin defenses. But, his main selling point is his monstrous 165 attack stat, second to only Deoxys. This set aims to counteract his middling speed and expose his outstanding attack with Rock Polish. Just one Rock Polish brings Rampardos up to 430 speed, outspeeding the entire unboosted metagame, apart from Ninjask and maybe Electrode. This set is a good late game sweeper, as little can withstand the mighty power of Rampardos. Rock Slide is chosen over Head Smash and Stone Edge due to Rock Slide's reliability and boost from Sheer Force. Earthquake is there for good coverage (EdgeQuake), and is a fantastic move in general. The last move slot is a choice based on what threat you want to check. Zen Headbutt is for Sawk, Crunch is for ghosts like Golurk and Misdreavus, and Fire Punch is for Tangela.

The main threats you will encounter with this set are bulky physical walls like Alomomola and Tangela, and bulky pokes that resist your STAB like Sawk and Golurk. Rampardos is also weak to priority, mainly Aqua Jet from Samurott and Floatzel, and Mach Punch from Gurdurr.

These weaknesses can be counteracted by having a fast, strong special attacker like Rotom-S, as it doesn't take much from Aqua Jet or Mach Punch, and can eliminate Alomomola.

The main reason to use Rampardos over other Rock Polish sweepers is because of its raw power. It also has Sheer Force to add even more firepower to its coverage moves and allows it to take no damage from Life Orb recoil.

So, as long as you can patch up Rampardos's weaknesses, it is a very capable sweeper that is amazingly strong and very fun to use.

that set needs a jolly nature to outspeed pokemon like primeape jynx after rock polish but other than that i can see it being effective once alomomola and tangela are removed

Yeah thanks for the tip. I originally chose adamant over jolly for power, but I can see how Scarf Jynx and Primape can ruin my sweep. I'll consider the change.

iLied (Liepard) (F) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Unburden
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Is this thing NU on Smogon? Even though you might find Liepard too frail, this set can still function because of its high speed stat and its access to Nasty Plot. This set is rare, unexpected and is very unorthodox. Stop using the foul play set, use this instead. Liepard lied.

I would consider replacing Earthquake with Hammer Arm if hitting Metang isn't an especially important task, since with Hammer Arm you actually gain a Sheer Force boost, making it more powerful than Earthquake (you actually have a solid chance of OHKO'ing Primeape with this after Stealth Rock damage and Sawk takes about 95% max with Adamant, making more room for other coverage moves) with otherwise the same coverage as Earthquake. Coverage is optional of course, though Crunch should be considered as the main slot since OHKO'ing Misdreavus after Stealth Rock is cool. Do consider running Jolly though, as you don't really miss out on anything important in terms of power and can outpace Misdreavus that utilizes the standard Speed spread while outpacing Scarf Rotom-A after the boost can often be game-changing.

@Dzi, Seconding to the suggestions that Punchshroom made, as Liepard doesn't really want to lose that much health as it wants to try to hit something hard while staying healthy and immediately boosting its Speed with Dark Gem so it can become less prone to revenge killing. Encore also often gives it more versatile setup opportunites, especially considering how fast and frail Liepard is.

Sheer force doesn't work on hammer arm unfortunately, I'm afraid sheer force doesn't take away any negative effect, only good ones. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Sheer_Force

Golduck @ Expert Belt / Mystic Water / Life Orb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power (Grass)
- Ice Beam
- Encore / Focus Blast / Psychic

Golduck is a truly unappreciated threat. While it may or may not be outclassed in certain aspects by Simipour and special Samurott, he does have perks over both of them. For one, Golduck's movepool is astounding, carrying moves such as Encore, Hypnosis, Yawn and Psychic that differenciate him from his fellow Water-Types somewhat, as well as having more solid bulk than the faster Simipour. This set is amazing for wallbreaking, being able to do major damage to two very common walls in Alomomola and Tangela, and can lock either of the two into Protect or Leech Seed or something of that nature, making Golduck very disruptive while still doing a lot of damage. Psychic can be used over Encore, as can Focus Blast, to hit Weezing or Lickilicky harder, respectively.

I'll point out that Samurott also knows Encore, so if you want to run it the only reason you'd want to use Golduck over Samurott is for the higher Speed. Similarly, Simipour knows Focus Blast. Samurott already 2HKOs Weezing with Hydro Pump (Timid LO Samurott can OHKO it 37.5% of the time). Golduck needs Modest to OHKO Weezing with Life Orb Psychic, so other than Speed and possibly Focus Blast (neither of which help it against Jynx, the best counter to Water-types right now) I don't know what Golduck has over Samurott.

Samurott gets Encore? Well shit, I guess Golduck doesn't have much of a niche over the two. I guess you can count the ability to abuse Rain better with Swift Swim, but rain is pretty uncommon.

@FLCL

Unfortunately, +2 Jolly Rampardos is still outsped by max speed scarf jynx and primeape.

+2 Jolly Rampardos: 472 speed
Jolly Scarf Primeape/Jynx: 474 speed

Misses the KO by 3 speed points :(

Shiftry (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Early Bird
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast/Extrasensory
- Rest

Is fun, tears big holes in offensive teams and takes it's time against defensive teams, early bird reduces rest turns to 1 so you can heal life orb recoil and status. This set is one of the rare that switches on misdreavus with no prediction needed (unless it's nasty plot + hp fight). I like modest, but you can go timid too. Two first attacks are main stabs, focus blast hits stuff like licky and audino, extrasensory hits roselia (and has a whole lot of pp if you plan on pp stalling stall teams).

Nice Shiftry set, that's really interesting. Seems like a good wallbreaker, and it looks like it would do even better against defensive teams (which aren't too common, though). Anyways, looks like a fun set to use. I'm gonna try this.

thats a cool set but what i don't like about it is that once it rests the opponent can simply switch to something that can take advantage of shiftry's many weaknesses such as jynx, primeape, scolipede, etc and force you out. then the sleep timer resets and they can simply force shiftry out everytime it comes in. i wasn't about to do this during our battle but i can definitely see it happening. one way to cushion this weakness is to use a physical set which can get a surprise sucker punch in on people switching in expecting two turns of sleep (jynx in particular). however, it is weak and easily walled, so it might not be the best option. still a cool set though, it did a number on my team

This set might get a little flak, as people seem to regard Persian as a very mediocre Pokemon that doesn't deserve discussion but I thought I might as well throw this set out there for anyone who still loves the cat as much as I do.

Persian @ Normal Gem
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
Covet
U-Turn
Switcheroo
Taunt

Great set that really messes with the opposing teams items. Covet has an astonishing 202 BP with Technician, STAB and Normal Gem, but since the Gem activates before the move, Persian steals the opponents item anyway! If you don't like the item, you can switch it off to another Pokemon later in the game and quite possibly cripple them as well if the item is bad enough. This set also serves as a great way to stop hazards being set up with Taunt, although it may backfire if your opponent sees through your plan and attacks Persian outright.

Why isn't Covet in Persians Viable Moves category? Seriously? It really should be.

I guess, you probably won't have much oppurtinities to rest agianst offensive teams, but the thing is shiftry doesn't need the 4th moveslot so badly and he's somewhat of a waist against stall, but stall teams will have a harder time abusing his sleep turn. His typing also makes him a good offensive partner to use along a psychic wall with heal bell like musharna or grumpig. Sucker punch is an interesting option though.
