Mamoswine (QC 3/3)(GP 2/2)

Taken over from BLOOD TOTEM
The Great Mammoth, Killer of Genies

[Overview]

 • Good offensive typing lets it hit a wide number of Pokemon, such as Heatran, Latios, Hydreigon, and Thundurus, for super effective damage, and provides a nifty Thunder Wave immunity
 • Powerful STAB spread move in Earthquake.
 • Priority in Ice Shard gives it strong revenge killing potential taking down Shaymin-S, Garchomp and Landorus.
 • Fairly slow with only base 80 Speed which isn't enough to outspeed the premier threats of the tier.
 • Ability Thick Fat is good as it negates one of its weaknesses, and gives it an Ice resistance, allowing it to wall Electric types like Zapdos and Thundurus easily
 • Weakness to Fighting-type moves means it struggles against a multitude of pokemon, notably Hitmontop who also neuters Mamoswine with Intimidate.
 • Struggles against rain teams both offensively and defensively.

[SET]
name: Physical Attacker
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Ice Shard
move 3: Icicle Spear / Icicle Crash
move 4: Protect
item: Focus Sash / Ice Gem
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
 • Earthquake deals powerful spread damage, notably it allows Mamoswine to KO Ninetales and Heatran, and can also deal heavy damage to Tyranitar.
 • Ice Shard is good for priority allowing Mamoswine to take down weakened foes without having to worry about speed.
 • Icicle Spear means that Mamoswine does not have to worry about Yache Berries, Focus Sashes and Pokemon behind Substitutes and is the preferred choice. Icicle Crash can be beneficial thanks to its flinch chance, ability to ignore Sitrus Berry healing (particularly on Thundurus) and higher base power.
 • Protect is a staple in doubles to help it survive longer.
 • Strong against Thundurus-I since it is immune to paralysis and can hit hard with Ice Shard or Icicle Spear.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
 • Focus Sash is generally the best item, as immunity to both sand and hail means that breaking it indirectly will be very difficult. However, Ice Gem can be used since it powers up Mamoswine's attacks (note: Icicle Crash should be used if running Ice Gem, because the Gem boost would only apply to hit #1 of Icicle Spear). If you opt for Ice Gem on this set, a spread of 40 HP / 44 Def / 248 Atk / 176 Spe would be preferable, as it outruns Jolly Breloom and survives LO Adamant Mach Punch / Bullet Punch from Breloom or Scizor 7/8 of the time.
 • Life Orb can also be used, as it can reliably work with Icicle Spear, and deals higher damage more consistently. However, it does come at the sacrifice of bulk, and over time this will make Mamoswine susceptable to more and more KOs
 • Given its role as a physical attacker Mamoswine fears Intimidate, so teammates should be chosen that can handle common Intimidate pokemon, such as Tornadus and Rotom-W
 • Though it has the type advantage Mamoswine must be wary when facing dragons such as Latios as it can easily outspeed and KO Mamoswine with Draco Meteor.
 • Mamoswine benefits greatly from Icy Wind or paralysis support as it means it does not have to worry about its sub-par speed.
 • Superpower can be used to hit things that Mamoswine's STAB attacks cannot, namely Rotom-W, but Mamoswine struggles to find room for this attack in its limited four moveslots
 • This set appreciates anything that can handle rain teams, Rotom-W (additionally immune to EQ), Gastrodon, and bulky Ludicolo can all make good partners; Sunny Day support is also appreciated, mitigating its Water weakness. Answers to common Fighting- and Steel-type attackers, such as Tornadus (for Fighting, also note Tornadus is immune to EQ, which is nice) and Heatran (for Steel), are also good teammates

[SET]
name: Bulky Attacker
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Icicle Crash / Icicle Spear
move 3: Ice Shard
move 4: Protect
item: Ice Gem
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant
evs: 208 HP / 244 Atk / 56 Def

[SET COMMENTS]
 • With a bulkier spread, Mamoswine can tank dangerous priority attacks with less risk and hit hard back
 • Earthquake is the typical Ground STAB attack of choice, as it provides spread damage and hits Steel-, Rock- and Electric-types hard
 • Icicle Crash is the best STAB for this set, as it can reliably abuse Ice Gem; to put things into perspective, an Ice Gem Icicle Crash OHKOs Yache Berry Landorus-T at -1 from Intimidate
 • Ice Shard provides some powerful priority, dealing massive damage to various Dragon- and Flying-types; it also OHKOs Tornadus and offensive Thundurus 4/5 of the time
 • Protect = not dead 'til next turn
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
 • With the given EV spread, Mamoswine can survive a lot of attacks it otherwise couldn't, such as a Fighting Gem Mach Punch off of Jolly Breloom, a Superpower off of Adamant Landorus-T and a n unboosted Draco Meteor off of Timid Latios
 • This set appreciates partners that can KO common rain team threats, such as Rotom-W. It also enjoys Sunny Day support, which can help against Water-type attacks. Tornadus, as always, makes for one of the best partners for it, handling troublesome Fighting-types, discouraging Intimidate pokemon from switching in, and synergizes really well with Mamoswine, as it is immune to Mamoswine's EQ and forms a great attacking lead with it. Cresselia in particular gets a special mention for this set, it can support Mamoswine with Sunny Day, take out troublesome Fighting-types with Psyshock, and Helping Hand allows for Mamoswine's Ice Shard to gain OHKOs on things that it normally couldn't, such as Latios, Latias and Hydreigon. Heatran also works well with this set, as it is a great Steel-type assassin, and alongside Cresselia as well, the three of them make a great core, one that is particularly great at countering common teams in the metagame.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Icicle Spear
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Icicle Crash
move 4: Rock Slide / Superpower
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant
evs: 224 HP / 120 Atk / 4 Def / 160 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

 • With a Choice Scarf, Mamoswine becomes capable of using its higher BP attacks to reliably OHKO a lot of threats before they can hit something, many of which Ice Shard couldn't KO, such as Latios, Thundurus, Tornadus, Thundurus-Therian, Landorus-Therian (including Yache & Sash variants), Garchomp (including Yache variants) and others.
 • Icicle Crash is the preferred STAB option for getting past Sitrus Berry Thundurus among other things, but Icicle Spear is also used on this set to get around things like Substitute Thundurus, Focus Sash Landorus-T, and Yache Berry Garchomp.
 • Earthquake rounds out the STAB coverage, and also provides for a strong spread attack
 • The last slot often depends on your team, Rock Slide can be used for Volcarona if it presents a threat to your team. Superpower is useful for nailing Ferrothorn, Bisharp and Scarf Tyranitar, to name a few.
[ADDITIONAL]

 • The given spread does a lot of things. The HP EVs (and 4 Def EVs) allow for it to always live a Fighting Gem Mach Punch from Jolly Technician Breloom and an unboosted Draco Meteor from Timid Latios, respectively. The speed allows it to outspeed positive-natured 111 base speed Pokemon, and everything slower than that. The remaining EVs are packed into attack to maximize damage output.
 • If you are worried about Scarf Landorus-T, a different spread of 208 HP / 84 Atk / 56 Def / 160 Spe can be used, which allows you to tank an Adamant Superpower from Landorus-T while retaining all the benchmarks the other spread has, at the cost of 36 attack EVs (note: this loses out on the guarenteed OHKO on bulky 252 HP / 4 Def Thundurus, and in general lowers your offensive presence by a lot)
 • One of this set's best partners is Tornadus, the pair of Scarf Mamoswine and Defiant Tornadus form a powerful fast-paced attacking core, and Tornadus is immune to EQ, an additional boon. As with the "Standard" set, this set will also appreciate Sunny Day support, or a good partner for handling rain teams. Steel-type attackers are less of an issue for it since it can outspeed most of them with a Scarf, but common Steel-type checks like Heatran will still make for good partners. Finally, since this set can reliably take out all the genies, anything that hates them (which is a lot of things), will greatly appreciate its support.

[Other Options]

 • Endeavor is an option to run along with a Focus Sash as it can provide a lot of damage to opponents that don't see it coming.
 • Mamoswine can make use of a Ground Gem to ensure that it will always KO Tyranitar with Earthquake, though other item choices tend to be superior to it
 • A Chople Berry can be used to help Mamoswine surprise opponents who expect a fighting type attack to secure a KO on Mamoswine.
 • Use of a Choice Band is an option but a Gem would generally be better if you need extra power for a significant KO, and it would make Mamoswine unable to use Protect.
 • Bulldoze can be used for speed control, but the power drop from Earthquake is easily noticable.
 • With good prediction, Substitute can be used to earn Mamoswine a free turn

[Checks and Counters]
 • Gyarados (Intimidate, Water STAB, generally awesome looks)
 • Kyurem-Black and Kyurem
 • Politoed
 • Swift Swim users
 • Bulky Water-types such as Jellicent, Suicune and Rotom-W
 • Fighting-types, such as Conkeldurr, Scrafty, Breloom and Hitmontop; Hitmontop in particular can also use Wide Guard to protect teammates from Earthquake, and break a Sash, should Mamoswine have one, with Fake Out
 • Steel-types, particularly Scizor, Ferrothorn and Metagross
 • Intimidate in general, and burns in general
 • Cresselia can sit in front of Mamoswine and tank repeated attacks, while supporting teammates with its impressive support movepool (Sunny Day, Trick Room, Icy Wind, etc)

[Overview]

Mamoswine is a very underrated threat in the Doubles metagame. Its wonderful dual Ice- and Ground-type STAB attacks can defeat a plethora of common doubles threats, such as Latios, Heatran, Thundurus, and Landorus-T. This is improved even further by the fact that Mamoswine's STAB attacks also provide it with both spread and priority in Earthquake and Ice Shard, respectively. To top it all off, its new ability, Thick Fat, allows it to negate its Fire-type weakness and gain an Ice-type resistance. Along with a wonderful immunity to Electric-type moves, this makes it one of the best checks to the likes of Thundurus, which can give many teams a lot of grief.

Unfortunately for Mamoswine, a mere base 80 Speed means that it finds difficulty facing faster threats, and Ice Shard doesn't have enough power to make up for this in most cases. Furthermore, weakness to Fighting- and Steel-type attacks leave it vulnerable to some of the most common physical attackers in the tier, such as Hitmontop and Metagross. It is also weak to common rain abusers, all of which can easily dispose of it with their Water-type STAB attacks. However, Mamoswine's ability to eliminate various top-tier threats makes it more than worth the slot on most teams, and working around its flaws usually won't be difficult.

[SET]
name: Physical Attacker
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Icicle Spear / Icicle Crash
move 3: Ice Shard
move 4: Protect
item: Focus Sash / Ice Gem
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This set aims to make the most of Mamoswine's offensive abilities, hitting as hard and fast as possible. Earthquake is Mamoswine's strongest Ground-type attack, hitting both of the opposing Pokemon at the cost of also hitting your ally. It is key for taking out Steel-type threats, particularly Heatran. Icicle Spear is Mamoswine's preferred Ice-type STAB option, as it can get past Yache Berries and Focus Sashes, which tend to be very common. However, Icicle Crash is also an option for more reliability and the ability to always OHKO Sitrus Berry Thundurus; it can also make use of an Ice Gem boost while Icicle Spear cannot and has a nifty chance to make the opponent flinch. Ice Shard provides useful STAB priority, and can deal a lot of damage to threats such as Thundurus and Latios. Protect is in the fourth slot as usual because it allows Mamoswine to burn time while its partner takes out something threatening.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Focus Sash is the best option for this set, as it allows Mamoswine to survive a powerful attack that comes its way and is not easy to break thanks to Mamoswine's immunity to both hail and sandstorm damage. However, Ice Gem allows Mamoswine to make the most of its powerful Ice-type STAB attacks. If you run Ice Gem, an alternative spread of 40 HP / 248 Atk / 44 Def / 176 Spe with a Jolly nature is preferred, as it allows Mamoswine to still be faster than Breloom while surviving a Life Orb-boosted Mach Punch from it 87.5% of the time. Life Orb is also an option for Mamoswine, as unlike Ice Gem it can be used alongside Icicle Spear, but it comes at the cost of even more bulk thanks to recoil, making it inferior to Ice Gem in most cases.

While Mamoswine usually can do what it needs to with its STAB attacks alone, Superpower is an option for this set should you find room for it. Superpower is Mamoswine's best option against Rotom-W, which otherwise completely walls it. Superpower can also hit Bisharp, Ferrothorn, and Choice Scarf Tyranitar harder than Earthquake can. However, in most cases you will not have room for Superpower in Mamoswine's limited moveslots.

This set heavily appreciates Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Gastrodon, and Ludicolo, or those with Sunny Day, all of which help against rain, which this set is very weak to. As Mamoswine also hates Intimidate, good answers to users of Intimidate, such as Rotom-W and Tornadus, also make excellent teammates. Rotom-W and Tornadus are also immune to Earthquake, allowing Mamoswine to use it without risk. Furthermore, Tornadus synergizes well with Mamoswine, taking out Fighting-type threats that threaten it. Due to its lacking Speed stat, Mamoswine also appreciates speed control; Tailwind, Icy Wind, and Thunder Wave all are very helpful for patching up Mamoswine's lackluster Speed. Finally, Heatran is a nice teammate, as it can use Heat Wave to take out Steel-types that threaten Mamoswine. Unfortunately, Heatran is very weak to Earthquake, so Mamoswine will have to play carefully when it is on the field.

[SET]
name: Bulky Attacker
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Icicle Crash
move 3: Ice Shard
move 4: Protect
item: Ice Gem
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant
evs: 208 HP / 244 Atk / 56 Def

[SET COMMENTS]

This spread aims to make the most of Mamoswine's bulk so that it can tank attacks and hit back hard. Earthquake is the Ground-type STAB of choice, providing a powerful spread attack and hitting common Steel- and Rock-types, such as Metagross and Tyranitar, hard. Icicle Crash is the Ice-type STAB of choice, as it becomes extremely powerful with an Ice Gem boost. To put things into perspective, an Ice Gem-boosted Icicle Crash can OHKO a Yache Berry Landorus-T even after Mamoswine's Attack is lowered by Intimidate. Ice Shard provides priority that can somewhat make up for this set's lacking Speed, as with an Ice Gem it can deal heavy damage to a variety of opponents. Furthermore, Ice Shard can actually OHKO Tornadus and offensive Thundurus 80% of the time with an Ice Gem boost. Protect takes its place in the fourth moveslot, protecting Mamoswine while its partner dispatches a potential threat.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given EV spread allows Mamoswine to tank a Superpower from Adamant Landorus-T, an unboosted Draco Meteor from Timid Latios, and anything weaker than those respective attacks. Notably, this includes Mach Punch from Breloom, which can be a big threat to frailer sets.

This set has a fair bit of bulk, so it doesn't fear priority as much as the other sets. Still, Tornadus makes for a great partner, removing troubling Fighting-types from the battlefield and discouraging Intimidate abusers from switching in. Additionally, Tornadus is immune to Mamoswine's Earthquake, allowing the mammoth to use it without risk. Heatran is also useful for removing Steel-types that would trouble this set. This set also appreciates Sunny Day support or anything that can handle common rain attackers, such as Rotom-W, Ludicolo, and Gastrodon. Cresselia gets a special mention, as it can provide Sunny Day support, speed control, take out Fighting-types with Psyshock, is immune to Earthquake, and can even use Helping Hand, which allows Ice Shard to gain a lot of OHKOs it normally couldn't on threats such as Hydreigon and Latios. Along with Heatran, Cresselia and Mamoswine can make for a great core, one that is particularly great at countering common threats in the metagame.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Icicle Spear
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Icicle Crash
move 4: Rock Slide / Superpower
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant
evs: 224 HP / 120 Atk / 4 Def / 160 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

With a Choice Scarf, Mamoswine is capable of moving before fast threats. This allows it to use its stronger STAB attacks, such as Icicle Crash, to KO a lot of threats before they can attack, such as Latios, Thundurus, Tornadus, Thundurus-T, Landorus-T, and Yache Berry Garchomp. Icicle Crash is the preferred Ice-type STAB option, as it is more reliable and comes with a nifty 30% flinch rate; however, this set also runs Icicle Spear to get past common threats such as Focus Sash Landorus-T and Yache Berry Garchomp. Earthquake provides Ground-type STAB and is an ever-so-useful spread attack. The last slot depends on what you want to hit. Rock Slide can be used to OHKO Volcarona, which can be a big threat if it pulls off a Quiver Dance. However, Superpower can also be used, as it nails Ferrothorn and Choice Scarf Tyranitar hard and is also Mamoswine's strongest attack for Rotom-W.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given EV spread does a lot of important things. With 224 EVs in HP and an additional 4 EVs in Defense, Mamoswine can live a Fighting Gem-boosted Mach Punch from Jolly Breloom and an unboosted Draco Meteor from Timid Latios as well as anything weaker. The 160 Speed EVs allow Mamoswine to outspeed positive-natured Pokemon with base 111 Speed, when factoring in the Speed boost from Choice Scarf, and anything slower. The remaining EVs are packed into Attack so that Mamoswine can hit as hard as possible. If you are worried about Choice Scarf Landorus-T, an alternative EV spread of 208 HP / 84 Atk / 56 Def / 160 Spe with an Adamant nature can be used. This spread does all the things that the above spread does, but also survives an Adamant Superpower from Landorus-T at the cost of 36 Attack EVs. This spread does lose out on a notable amount of offensive power, unfortunately.

This set partners extremely well with Tornadus. Tornadus discourages Intimidate users from switching in, is immune to Mamoswine's Earthquake, and takes out pesky Fighting-types. The duo of Choice Scarf Mamoswine and Tornadus form a powerful fast-paced attacking core that can eliminate a wide array of common threats. As for all Mamoswine sets, this set appreciates both Sunny Day support and anything that can help check rain teams, such as Rotom-W, Gastrodon, and Ludicolo. This set is particularly less fearful of Steel-types, as it can outspeed most of them and hit them with Earthquake. However, Heatran is still a nice partner for eliminating Steel-types. Finally, as this set is designed to take out Thundurus, Landorus-T, and Tornadus safely, anything that hates those threats will appreciate Choice Scarf Mamoswine's support.

[Other Options]

Mamoswine doesn't have very many options to choose from. Endeavor can be used in conjunction with Focus Sash, as after the Focus Sash is broken, Mamoswine is able to bring an opponent down to 1 HP. This is hard to use in most situations thanks to the prevalence of priority attacks, however. Ground Gem can be used to OHKO Tyranitar with Earthquake, though other item choices tend to be superior. A Chople Berry can be used to endure powerful Fighting-type attacks should you lack a good Fighting-type counter on your team. A Choice Band can give Mamoswine's attacks a lot of power, but its lack of Speed and weakness to priority make a Choice Band an inferior choice in most cases. Bulldoze allows Mamoswine to provide its own speed control at the cost of a very noticeable drop in power. Finally, Substitute can be used with careful prediction, giving Mamoswine a useful burn immunity and extra protection against attacks.

[Checks and Counters]

Rain is Mamoswine's biggest enemy, as it cannot hit Water-types very hard and Swift Swim sweepers such as Kingdra and Ludicolo can crush it effortlessly. Bulky Water-types, such as Jellicent, Suicune, and Rotom-W, give it similar problems, as it cannot do anything to them and they can proceed to either decimate it or set up on it. Gyarados is one of Mamoswine's greatest enemies, as it lowers its offensive presence with Intimidate and can take it down with Waterfall. Kyurem-B and Kyurem are not as effective, but they can tank its attacks and proceed to decimate it with Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor, respectively.

Fighting-types, particularly Scrafty, Hitmontop, Conkeldurr, and Breloom, can hammer it with their powerful STAB attacks. The former two also weaken its attacks with Intimidate and can break Focus Sash with Fake Out if it has one while the latter two pack powerful priority. Additionally, Hitmontop can protect its allies against Earthquake with Wide Guard. Steel-types that don't mind tanking an Earthquake, namely Scizor, Metagross, and Ferrothorn, can proceed to take it out with powerful Steel-type attacks. Getting hit by Intimidate or getting burned will also neuter Mamoswine, as the loss of power will prevent a lot of OHKOs and make it less threatening in general. Finally, Cresselia can tank Mamoswine's attacks any day of the week while supporting its team with moves such as Icy Wind, Trick Room, and Sunny Day.

I am pretty heavily opinionated on Mamoswine, so I want to discuss what I want to change before I change it, so that I don't make a mess:

-I want to replace Scarf set w/ bulky Ice Gem set, and move Scarf set (new one based on Mean's) to OO. If for some reason the Scarf set stays, I want to change it to Blank's lv100 Scarf Mamoswine spread, which is imo a better spread than the current one provided, and change slot 3 to Icicle Crash, and finally slash Stone Edge and Rock Slide in slot 4.
-I want to mention its ability to counter Thundy in the Overview, as it is one of the better reasons to use Mamoswine imo, Thundy cannot touch it (bar Focus Blast/Grass Knot which no one uses)
-I want to make Focus Sash the only item for the first set, and mention Ice Gem & LO in additional comments
-I also want to change up OO a bit, but for now I'll focus on the former three things, which are more important imo

I'm still of the opinion that the Scarf Mamoswine should stay, since it allows Mamoswine to utilize more of its stronger STAB moves instead of the weak Ice Shard for priority.
 • explain that the HP EVs also guarantee survival from a LO Mach Punch / Bullet Punch from Breloom / Scizor and an average survival from +1 Mach Punch / Bullet Punch
I'm okay with everything else, though - possibly AC the bulky Mamoswine set when you refer to Ice Gem

Ok then, I really think (from the 40-ish battles I have used it) that Ice Gem Mamoswine deserves its own set, but I'll add it into AC on that standard set for now (and I'll keep Scarf up).

-EDIT-
Also going to change Other Options a fair bit (probably)

i'm fine giving the bulky set its own moveset - i wasn't sure if you were going to mention it at all, which is why I suggested AC ;x I'll leave the decision of giving bulky Mamo its own set / AC up to you

Just like any other EQ users, when you mention teammates with Levitate / Flying-type, state how these teammates can attack at the same time as Mamoswine uses EQ without taking any damage from the spread move, making them the optimal partners.

Overview
Good offensive typing lets it hit a wide number of Pokemon for super effective damage, and makes it one of the few Pokemon capable of reliably checking Thundurus
Avoid using vague expressions such as this. It's far more helpful to list out the prey of Mamoswine (ie Heatran, etc) than to say it hurts a bunch of things. You listed some targets for Ice Shard, but Mamoswine has other moves, too.
Ability Thick Fat is good as it negates one of its weaknesses
Also add that it further solidifies Mamoswine as an Electric-type check by resisting their weak-ass coverage move, Hidden Power Ice, and being neutral to Heat Wave, etc

Physical Attacker

~ Move the 4 EVs in HP to Defense

~ Slash Ice Gem for the reasons offered by lucariojr:
lucariojr said:
ice gem should be slashed as a main item since it provides power to mamo's main moves and doesn't sacrifice any bulk, for reasons i'll get to later (it also boosts icicle spear up enough to OHKO offensive thund with only 2 hits as opposed to relying on 2 high damage rolls with life orb).
Earthquake deals strong spread damage, notably it allows Mamoswine to KO Ninetales. It also seriously dents Tyranitar and, with a Life Orb, it has a chance to KO
Add Heatran with Ninetales.

Additional Comments

AC mention Superpower, imo. Note that Mamoswine has 4MSS, but Superpower can be handy for hitting Rotom-W, Ice-types (such as Abomasnow / Kyurem-B / opposing Mamoswine), and Heatran with Levitate Skill-swapped to it.
Given its role as a physical attacker Mamoswine fears Intimidate as it will take power from its attacks
You dont simply state a weakness of a Pokemon and not offer solutions to it. Provide some teammates that can deal with common Intimidate users. You do mention Tornadus and Rotom-W, both of which can deal with Hitmontop and Landorus-T, respectively in other places, but there's no shame in repeating the same teammates. Giving more than 1 reason to use Tornadus, Rotom-W, etc would actually reinforce their good complementary relationship with Mamoswine.

AC mention Jolly 40 HP / 44 Def / 248 Atk / 176 Spe to outrun Jolly Breloom AND survives LO Adamant Mach Punch / Bullet Punch from Breloom or Scizor the majority of the time (7/8).

Replace your bulkier spread with this: 152 HP / 232 Atk / 124 Def. To quote yourself:
Nollan said:
it lives an Adamant Steel Gem Scizor Bullet Punch, and everything below that, notably a Adamant LO Breloom Mach Punch. While it loses a bit of power for said bulk, Ice Gem Ice Shard still OHKOs Offensive Thundurus 75% of the time, and bulky variants all die to Icicle Crash. Even after an attack drop, Ice Shard will OHKO Landorus-T 81.25% of the time, and Icicle Crash will similarly OHKO. My spread is pretty lame overall, there is probably a better one, but the point is that you live hits :>
Choice Scarf
With a Choice Scarf, Mamoswine becomes capable of using its higher BP attacks to reliably OHKO a lot of threats before they can hit something, such as Latios, Thundurus, Tornadus, Thundurus-Therian, Landorus-Therian, Garchomp and others
Good stuff, but being more specific would be good here. Note that how a LO Ice Shard fails to guarantee OHKO on most of these mons (Garchomp needs Yache Berry). However, your Scarf Mamo OHKOs them all with Icicle Crash (or Icicle Spear if its YacheChomp / Sash Lando-T, which you've mentioned already).
If you are worried about Scarf Landorus-T, a different spread of 208 HP / 84 Atk / 56 Def / 160 Spe can be used, which allows you to tank an Adamant Superpower from Landorus-T while retaining all the benchmarks the other spread has, at the cost of 36 attack EVs (note: this loses out on the guarenteed OHKO on bulky Thundurus and Latios, and in general lowers your offensive presence by a lot
Damage calc says that Icicle Crash still OHKOs everything it's supposed to, so I don't see any problem here (did you calc with Adamant Nature)? The overall power loss is still a legitimate concern, though.
One of this set's best partners is Tornadus, the pair of Scarf Mamoswine and Defiant Tornadus form a powerful fast-paced attacking core.
Checks & Counters
- Kyurem with Kyurem-Black
- specify Rotom-W and Gastrodon under bulky Water-types
- Hitmontop deserves a special explanation, imo, since it can block Earthquake with Wide Guard
- Jolly Breloom outruns Mamoswine and can take out a large chunk of health / KO with Mach Punch
- Gyarados deserves a special mention either under bulky Water-types or general Intimidate users, since unlike Landorus-T it is neutral to its Ice STAB. Probably the best Mamoswine counter out there
- Cresselia is technically a bitch to Mamoswine - it can't do much back to it, but it can still slow it down with Icy Wind or support its teammates with Trick Room, Helping Hand, Reflect, or Skill Swap.
- Volcarona paired with the likes of a Fake Out user can break Mamoswine's sash while Volcarona uses Quiver Dance, and then Volcarona can eliminate Mamoswine. Mamoswine cannot threaten out its sweep with Ice Shard at all, and it requires Rock Slide / Stone Edge for the OHKO

Since you've already made mention of the benefits of using Icicle Spear (mainly in beating Sash and Yache), you could emphasize that Icicle Crash can beat Sitrus (from Thundurus or Amoonguss).

I'm one of those people who always looks into requested changes rather than just doing them, so I have some comments on a few things I am not in full agreement with:

Physical Attacker

~ Slash Ice Gem for the reasons offered by lucariojr
At this point I think I'm just going to make a bulky Ice Gem set (I'll get to it asap), Focus Sash is prefered (imo at least) on speedier sets so they can actually tank a hit. I'll move the EVs, not sure what they do though. :s

The first spread is a bit contradictory imo, since you will usually run Sash, bulk isn't as important as speed and power. Also, that investment shouldn't live those given attacks, at least from what the calcs I ran showed. As for spread #2: Mamoswine can't do anything notable to Scizor, which I why I gave up on that spread (assuming that is my old spread). I just wield a simpler spread now, as with 252 HP you can live Fighting Gem Mach Punch off of Jolly natured Breloom, which is really all you need imo.

Checks & Counters
- specify Rotom-W and Gastrodon under bulky Water-types
- Cresselia is technically a bitch to Mamoswine - it can't do much back to it, but it can still slow it down with Icy Wind or support its teammates with Trick Room, Helping Hand, Reflect, or Skill Swap.
- Volcarona paired with the likes of a Fake Out user can break Mamoswine's sash while Volcarona uses Quiver Dance, and then Volcarona can eliminate Mamoswine. Mamoswine cannot threaten out its sweep with Ice Shard at all, and it requires Rock Slide / Stone Edge for the OHKO

Ice Gem Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Gastrodon: 313-369 (73.47 - 86.61%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Given this calc, and the fact that not all Gastrodon have Muddy Water, I'm not sure on whether to count Gastro as a counter)
Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Cresselia: 118-141 (26.57 - 31.75%) -- possible 4HKO (Nothing impressive, but given that Cresselia can't exactly hit Mamoswine very hard either, I'm also not sure about this duck as a counter)
Finally, I'm not sure how Volcarona is a "counter". Sash Mamoswine can live a hit even if it is at +6 (since you would hopefully Protect on the Fake Out turn, this Fake Out user thing is heavily situational I might add), and hit back with EQ. Not to mention Scarf variants can often trample the moth with Stone Edge or Rock Slide. Imo, this is sorta the equivalent (in a lesser way) of saying Breloom can counter Tornadus, since Hitmontop can Fake Out Tornadus while Breloom nails it with Spore.

You forgot to AC mention Superpower in the first set, unless you left it out because you are against it
AC mention Superpower, imo. Note that Mamoswine has 4MSS, but Superpower can be handy for hitting Rotom-W, Ice-types (such as Abomasnow / Kyurem-B / opposing Mamoswine), Ferrothorn, Scrafty, and Heatran with Levitate Skill-swapped to it.
This spread is more pertinent when Mamoswine is holding Ice Gem.

252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs. 40 HP / 44 Def Mamoswine: 320-377 (86.25 - 101.61%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO. 87% chance survival is still a significant increase in surviving this hit than it previously had (43% survival), so it's definitely deserves a mention imo

OK, I'm fine with the max HP set
With a Choice Scarf, Mamoswine becomes capable of using its higher BP attacks to reliably OHKO a lot of threats before they can hit something, many of which Ice Shard couldn't KO, such as Latios, Thundurus, Tornadus, Thundurus-Therian, Landorus-Therian, Garchomp and others.
Specify Garchomp as Yache Garchomp, because LO Ice Shard is an OHKO on non-Yache Chomp
It may not be a counter, but it sure as hell is a check at the very least. Cresselia can switch into Ice Shard or Earthquake with impunity, and start being a major nuisance by supporting its teammates with Trick Room, Icy Wind, Reflect, Skill Swap, etc. The prospect of Mamoswine's ability to take down Cresselia quickly is slimmer if it is using Icicle Spear > Icicle Crash, not to mention Cresselia can very well be packing Rest and Chesto Berry. Cresselia deserves a mention.

You're right about Gastrodon and Volcarona, though, so you can leave them out.

You forgot to AC mention Superpower in the first set, unless you left it out because you are against it
I swear I added that in..... I think the forums must be trolling me -_-

Specify Garchomp as Yache Garchomp, because LO Ice Shard is an OHKO on non-Yache Chomp
I worded it as "many of which" exactly for this reason. If you want me to mention Yache regardless of this, I have though.[/quote]

"ice gem should be slashed as a main item since it provides power to mamo's main moves and doesn't sacrifice any bulk, for reasons i'll get to later (it also boosts icicle spear up enough to OHKO offensive thund with only 2 hits as opposed to relying on 2 high damage rolls with life orb)."

I recall that a Gem will only boost the first hit of a multihit attack, i.e. Ice Gem Icicle Spear would be weaker than Life Orb Icicle Spear. I agree with everything else though, I was just curious if I'm wrong about that (which would be nice, too)

Alright, I added Pocket's spread into AC alongside Ice Gem, and added in a bulky Mamoswine set.

Earthquake deals strong spread damage, notably it allows Mamoswine to KO Ninetales and Heatran. It also seriously dents Tyranitar and, with a Life Orb, it has a chance to KO
Life Orb isn't slashed in the moveset, so you should drop this to AC. You also don't mention Life Orb at all in the AC, which is odd. I will move Mamoswine's ability to KO Tyranitar with LO EQ under AC when you're explaining about this item.

I also don't support Life Orb on the Bulky Attacker set, since LO recoil compromises its bulk, which is the main selling point from the physical attacker. If anything, Life Orb is a more viable choice on the Physical Attacker that appreciates a boost in power, since it can't survive strong hits anyways. I'd remove the mention of Life Orb from the Bulky Attacker set, and transfer them to the Physical Attacker set instead.

Also please add this information somewhere as per Punchshroom:
Punchshroom said:
Since you've already made mention of the benefits of using Icicle Spear (mainly in beating Sash and Yache), you could emphasize that Icicle Crash can beat Sitrus (from Thundurus or Amoonguss).

...oops x_x
I'll go fix those (on something like 4 skeletons)

Bumping this thread because I can because Mamoswine is Med. Priority and I've been ready for a check for something like a week now.

Plus Mamoswine is the best Pokemon in the history of Doubles. B)

put rock slide as the first slash on the scarf set and take off stone edge. there isn't much stone edge is doing that an ice move isn't doing already besides hitting past wide guard, and the same goes for superpower though im probably forgetting something important there

Superpower is best for Rotom and can OHKO Bisharp and Scarf TTar where EQ can't, but I'll take off Stone Edge. If other people agree on Superpower, I'll move in to AC or OO or something.

slash rock slide over superpower (killing scarftar/bisharp is nice and all but eq still hits them hard which makes rock slide slightly better than superpower imo) and add stone edge to oo and then

QC 3/3

not sure how i forgot scarftar

Amateur check, hope this helps!

[Overview]

Mamoswine is a very underrated threat in the Doubles metagame. Its wonderful dual Ice- and Ground-type STAB attacks can defeat a plethora of common doubles threats, such as Latios, Heatran, Thundurus,(AC) and Landorus-T. Along with a wonderful immunity to Thunder Wave, this makes it one of the best checks to the likes of Thundurus, who can give many teams a lot of grief.

Unfortunately for Mamoswine, a mere 80 base Speed means that it finds difficulty facing faster threats, and Ice Shard doesn't have enough power to make up for this in most cases. Furthermore, weakness to Fighting- and Steel-type attacks leave it vulnerable to some of the most common physical attackers in the tier, such as Hitmontop and Metagross. It is also weak to common rain team threats abusers, who all of whom can easily dispose of it with their Water-type STAB attacks. However, Mamoswine's ability to eliminate various top tier threats makes it more than worth the slot on most teams, and working around its flaws usually won't be difficult.

move 4: Protect

evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This set aims to make the most of Mamoswine's offensive abilities, hitting as hard and fast as possible. Earthquake is Mamoswine's best Ground-type attack, hitting both of the opposition at the cost of also hitting your ally. It is key for taking out Steel-type threats, particularly Heatran. Icicle Spear is Mamoswine's preferred Ice-type STAB option, as it can get through Yache Berries and Focus Sashes, which tend to be very common. However, Icicle Crash is also an option for more reliability and the ability to OHKO Sitrus Berry Thundurus; it can also abuse an Ice Gem boost while Icicle Spear cannot. Ice Shard provides useful STAB priority, and can deal a lot of damage to threats such as Thundurus and Latios. Protect is in the fourth slot as usual, since as it allows you Mamoswine to burn time while your its partner takes out something threatening to Mamoswine.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Focus Sash is the best option for this set, as it allows Mamoswine to tank a powerful attack that comes its way and is not easy to break thanks to Mamoswine's immunity to both hail and sandstorm damage. However, Ice Gem allows Mamoswine to make the most of its powerful Ice-type STAB attacks. If you were to run Ice Gem, an alternative spread of 40 HP / 248 Atk / 44 Def / 176 Spe with a Jolly nature would be preferred, as it allows Mamoswine to remain faster than Breloom, while surviving a Life Orb-boosted Mach Punch from it
7/8 87.5% of the time. Life Orb is also an option for Mamoswine, as unlike Ice Gem it can be used alongside Icicle Spear, but it comes at the cost of even more bulk thanks to Life Orb recoil, making it inferior to Ice Gem in most cases.

While Mamoswine usually can do what it needs to with its STAB attacks alone, Superpower is an option for this set, should you find room for it. Superpower is Mamoswine's best option for Rotom-W, who otherwise completely walls it. However,(AC) In in most cases you will not have room for Superpower in Mamoswine's limited moveslots, though.

This set heavily appreciates Pokemon who can reliably check rain, such as Rotom-W, Gastrodon,(AC) and Ludicolo. Sunny Day support is also appreciated, since it similarly helps against rain, which this set is very weak to. Since Mamoswine also hates Intimidate, good answers to abusers of Intimidate, such a Rotom-W and Tornadus, also make excellent teammates. Rotom-W and Tornadus also are immune to Earthquake, allowing Mamoswine to use the its powerful Ground-type STAB attack without risk. Furthermore, Tornadus synergizes well with Mamoswine, taking out Fighting-type threats that threaten it. Due to its lacking Speed stat, Mamoswine also appreciates speed control; Tailwind, Icy Wind,(AC) and Thunder Wave all are very helpful. Finally, Heatran is a nice teammate, as it can take out Steel-types that threaten Mamoswine with Heat Wave(this reads like there are Steel-types threatening Mamoswine with Heat Wave, perhaps say something more along the lines of: "Finally, Heatran is a nice teammate as it can use Heat Wave to take out Steel-Types threatening Mamoswine."); however, it is very weak to Earthquake, so Mamoswine will have to play carefully when it is on the field.

[SET COMMENTS]

This spread aims to make the most of Mamoswine's bulk so that it can tank attacks and hit hard back back hard. Earthquake is the Ground-type STAB of choice, providing a powerful spread attack and hits hitting common Steel- and Rock-types, such as Metagross and Tyranitar,(AC) hard. Icicle Crash is the Ice-type STAB of choice as it becomes extremely powerful with an Ice Gem boost. To put things into perspective, an Ice Gem-boosted Icicle Crash off of Mamoswine (implied) can OHKO a Yache Berry Landorus-T even after your Mamoswine's Attack attack is lowered by Intimidate. Ice Shard provides priority that can make up somewhat make up for this set's lacking speed, as with an Ice Gem it can deal heavy damage to a variety of opponents. Furthermore, Ice Shard can actually OHKO Tornadus and offensive Thundurus 4/5 80% of the time with an Ice Gem boost. Protect takes its place in the fourth moveslot, protecting Mamoswine while its partner dispatches a potential threat to Mamoswine.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given EV spread allows Mamoswine to tank a Superpower
off of from Adamant Landorus-T, an unboosted Draco Meteor off of from Timid Latios, and anything weaker than those respective attacks. This notably Notably, this includes Mach Punch off of from Breloom, who can be a big threat to frailer sets.

This set has a fair bit of bulk, so it doesn't fear priority as much as the other sets. Still, Tornadus makes for a great partner, removing troubling Fighting-types from the battlefield and discouraging Intimidate abusers from switching in. Tornadus additionally Additionally, Tornadus is immune to Mamoswine's Earthquake, allowing the mammoth to use it without risk. Heatran is also useful for removing Steel-types that would trouble this set. This set also appreciates Sunny Day support, or anything that can handle common rain attackers, such as Rotom-W, Ludicolo, and Gastrodon. Cresselia gets a special mention, as it can provide Sunny Day support, speed control, take out Fighting-types with Psyshock, is immune to Earthquake,(AC) and can even use Helping Hand, which allows Ice Shard to gain a lot of OHKOs it normally couldn't on threats such as Hydreigon and Latios. Along with Heatran, the three of them can make for a great core, one that is particularly great at countering common threats in the metagame.

move 4: Rock Slide / Superpower
item: Choice Scarf

[SET COMMENTS]

With a Choice Scarf, Mamoswine is capable of moving before fast threats. This allows it to use its stronger STAB attacks, such as Icicle Crash, to KO a lot of threats before they can attack, such as Latios, Thundurus, Tornadus, Thundurus-T, Landorus-T
,(AC) and Yache Berry Garchomp. Icicle Crash is the preferred Ice-type STAB option, as it is more reliable and comes with a nifty 30% flinch rate; however, this set also runs Icicle Spear to get past common threats such as Focus Sash Landorus-T and Yache Berry Garchomp. Earthquake provides Ground-type STAB, and is a an ever-so-useful spread attack. The last slot depends on what you want to hit. Rock Slide can be used to OHKO Volcarona, who can be a big threat if it pulls off a Quiver Dance. However, Superpower can also be used, as it nails Ferrothorn and Scarf Tyranitar hard, and is also your Mamoswine's strongest attack for Rotom-W.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given EV spread does a lot of important things. With 224 EVs in HP and an additional 4 EVs in Defense, Mamoswine can live a Fighting Gem-boosted Mach Punch
off of from Jolly natured Breloom and an unboosted Draco Meteor off of from Timid natured Latios, and anything weaker than those respective attacks. The 160 Speed EVs allow you to outspeed Pokemon with base 111 speed Speed,(AC) including the speed boost from Choice Scarf, and anything slower. The remaining EVs are packed into Attack so that you Mamoswine can hit as hard as possible. If you are worried about Choice Scarf Landorus-T, an alternative EV spread of 208 HP / 84 Atk / 56 Def / 160 Spe with an Adamant nature can be used. This spread does all the things that the above spread does, but additionally lives an Adamant Superpower off of from Landorus-T, at the cost of 36 Attack EVs. This spread does lose a lot noticeable amount of offensive power, unfortunately.

This set partners extremely well with Tornadus. Tornadus discourages Intimidate abusers from switching in, is immune to Mamoswine's Earthquake,(AC) and takes out troubling Fighting-types. The duo of Choice Scarf Mamoswine and Tornadus form a powerful fast-paced attacking core that can eliminate a wide array of common threats. As for all Mamoswine sets, this set appreciates both Sunny Day support and anything that can help check rain teams, such as Rotom-W, Gastrodon,(AC) and Ludicolo. This set is particularly less fearful of Steel-types, since it can outspeed most of them and hit them with Earthquake. However, Heatran is still a nice partner for eliminating Steel-types and also appreciates Sunny Day support like Mamoswine does (unnecessary). Finally, since this set is designed to take out Thundurus, Landorus-T,(AC) and Tornadus safely, anything that hates those threats will appreciate Choice Scarf Mamoswine's support.

[Other Options]

Mamoswine doesn't have very many options to choose from. Endeavor can be used with Focus Sash, as after the Sash is broken
you can Mamoswine is able to bring something down to 1 HP. This is hard to use in most situations thanks to the prevalence of priority attacks, however. Ground Gem can be used to OHKO Tyranitar, though other item choices tend to be superior to it. A Chople Berry can be used to endure powerful Fighting-type attacks, should you lack a good Fighting-type counter on your team. Choice Band can give Mamoswine's attacks a lot of power, but its lack of speed and weakness to priority makes Choice Band an inferior choice in most cases. Bulldoze allows Mamoswine to provide its own speed control at the cost of Earthquake and a very noticeable drop in power. Finally, Substitute can be used with careful prediction, giving Mamoswine a useful burn immunity and extra protection against attacks.

[Checks & Counters]

Rain is Mamoswine's biggest enemy, as it cannot hit Water-types very hard, and Swift Swim sweepers like Kingdra and Ludicolo can crush it effortlessly. Bulky Water-types, such as Jellicent, Suicune
,(AC) and Rotom-W,(AC) give it similar problems, as it cannot do anything to them and they can proceed to either decimate it or set up on it. Gyarados is one of Mamoswine's greatest enemies, as it lowers it its offensive presence with Intimidate and can take it down with Waterfall. Kyurem-Black and Kyurem are not as effective, but they can tank its attacks and proceed to decimate it with Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor, respectively.

Fighting-types, particularly Scrafty, Hitmontop, Conkeldurr,(AC) and Breloom, can hammer it with their powerful STAB attacks. The former two also weaken its attacks with Intimidate and can break Focus Sash with Fake Out if it has one, while the later latter two pack powerful priority. Additionally,(AC) Hitmontop additionally can protect its allies against Earthquake with Wide Guard. Steel-types who don't mind tanking an Earthquake, namely Scizor, Metagross,(AC) and Ferrothorn, can proceed to take it out with powerful Steel-type attacks. Getting hit by Intimidate or getting burned will also neuter Mamoswine, as the loss of power will prevent a lot of OHKOs and make it less threatening in general. Finally, Cresselia can tank Mamoswine's attacks any day of the week, while supporting its team with moves such as Icy Wind, Trick Room,(AC) and Sunny Day.

A side note, I think [Checks & Counters] is supposed to be [Checks and Counters], but I'm not exactly sure how they upload it to the site so it might not make a difference.

The given EV spread does a lot of important things. With 224 EVs in HP and an additional 4 EVs in Defense, Mamoswine can live a Fighting Gem-boosted Mach Punch from of Jolly Breloom and an unboosted Draco Meteor from Timid Latios, and anything weaker than those respective attacks. The 160 Speed EVs allow you to outspeed Pokemon with base 111 Speed, including the speed boost from Choice Scarf, and anything slower. The remaining EVs are packed into Attack so that Mamoswine can hit as hard as possible. If you are worried about Choice Scarf Landorus-T, an alternative EV spread of 208 HP / 84 Atk / 56 Def / 160 Spe with an Adamant nature can be used. This spread does all the things that the above spread does, but additionally llso survives an Adamant Superpower from Landorus-T, at the cost of 36 Attack EVs. This spread does lose out on a notable amount of offensive power, unfortunately.

This set partners extremely well with Tornadus. Tornadus discourages Intimidate abusers from switching in, is immune to Mamoswine's Earthquake, and takes out troublingpesky Fighting-types. This set is particularly less fearful of Steel-types, since it can outspeed most of them and hit them with Earthquake. However, Heatran is still a nice partner for eliminating Steel-types. Finally, since this set is designed to take out Thundurus, Landorus-T, and Tornadus safely, anything that hates those threats will appreciate Choice Scarf Mamoswine's support.

[Other Options]

Mamoswine doesn't have very many options to choose from. Endeavor can be used with Focus Sash, as after the Sash is broken Mamoswine is able to bring something down to 1 HP. A Choice Band can give Mamoswine's attacks a lot of power, but its lack of speed and weakness to priority makes a Choice Band an inferior choice in most cases. Bulldoze allows Mamoswine to provide its own speed control at the cost of a very noticeable drop in power. Finally, Substitute can be used with careful prediction, giving Mamoswine a useful burn immunity and extra protection against attacks.

[Checks and Counters]

Rain is Mamoswine's biggest enemy, as it cannot hit Water-types very hard, and Swift Swim sweepers like Kingdra and Ludicolo can crush it effortlessly. Kyurem-Black and Kyurem are not as effective, but they can tank its attacks and proceed to decimate it with Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor, respectively.

Fighting-types, particularly Scrafty, Hitmontop, Conkeldurr, and Breloom, can hammer it with their powerful STAB attacks. The former two also weaken its attacks with Intimidate and can break Focus Sash with Fake Out if it has one, while the latter two pack powerful priority. Additionally, Hitmontop can protect its allies against Earthquake with Wide Guard. Steel-types who don't mind tanking an Earthquake, namely Scizor, Metagross, and Ferrothorn, can proceed to take it out with powerful Steel-type attacks. Getting hit by Intimidate or getting burned will also neuter Mamoswine, as the loss of power will prevent a lot of OHKOs and make it less threatening in general. Finally, Cresselia can tank Mamoswine's attacks any day of the week, while supporting its team with moves such as Icy Wind, Trick Room, and Sunny Day.

Comments:
Since Mamo's overall immunity to electric, not just T-wave, is what helps it check Thundurus so much, and it also includes t-wave, I felt it was a good change to make, but if you feel emphasizing t-wave immunity is much more important, i guess it's your call.
Unless Icicle Spear can never OHKO Sitrus Berry Thundurus, it makes more sense to say always. I added in that it can flinch, because that 30% chance activates surprisingly often and can be pretty helpful.
Abuse isn't supposed to be used in an analysis, basically because it's a really negative word, even though you probably didn't mean it as such.
Superpower can do more than just hit rotom-w. If you're going to talk about it, at least mention it hits ferro and anything else it hits, right?
I thought the sentence on the first set's teammates was a bit inelegant, so i fixed it. But it's not a big deal, I just wanted to condense it a bit- feel free to keep it as it was if you'd like.
Why is rotom-w a good answer to intimidate abusers? Maybe Gyarados, or because it has WoW? I feel like i'd include another instead.
You say that Icy Wind, Tailwind, and T-wave are all helpful to the first set, but then never elaborate. Feel free not to, and I see why, but consider doing so?
If Icicle Crash is the preferred STAB, why isn't it in the first slot?
Does Scarf outspeed positive-natured base 111's? You didn't say.
You say that Tornadus handles 'troubling fighting-types' twice, so find a different word for one of those times, please?
