Resource Creative and Underrated Sets

Should have posted this long time ago, but when drafted I decide to post after ompl in case I need them. These sets are not necessarily <super new> or <super original>. Despite I do come up with both of them on my own, they might actually be poping up around for a while and I'm not really taking any credit here.

1. Volt Absorb Gyarados
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / Arbitrary Spe
Careful Nature
- Anchor Shot
- Shore Up
- Volt Switch
- Filler

Back in the Age of CFZ spreading cancer on the ladder, I actually enjoyed using this one a lot, paired with the cancerous Leppa berry MMY with the almost-always-crit-bolt and AV-Solgaleo-Luring SSSSS (in the pre-EV meta, it OHKO after a little chip). Switching to SSSS with your Gyara and trap them if they are assuming you are not improofing and dare to hit you with the bolt. A replay I saved showcasing the lures. (vs SW during CFZ suspect)

Mewtwo-Mega-Y @ Leppa Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt
- Genesis Supernova
- Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike
- Moongeist Beam

Down the road, the meta gets a lot more playable after the EV limit and all the tiering work, and this set can still shine as it used to be.

Mewtwo-Mega-Y @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Blue Flare
- Ice Beam
- Psychic

Mewtwo-Mega-Y @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Moongeist Beam
- Psystrike
- Psycho Boost

Bolt Strike SF LO MMY can one shot the common Mgyara, Yveltal, and non-FC Porge, which it otherwise having trouble with OHKOing. The mon has a great MU with a lot of BO cores due to the OHKOs. And the Volt Absorb Gyara is doing the same improof work again.

It can also do the same job to improof a tons of threat and affect the gameplay with the information advantage. QD Galvanize Pdon (run spectral on Gyara if you want to check the set-up set consistently) and Galvanize Xurkitree etc can be walled, so can the Surge Spec MMY with Moongeist Beam / Psystrike / Psycho Boost / Volt Switch. Used in Flint's OMPL game W1, too.

In addition, you can opt to use Volt Switch on some of your passive walls pokemon. In a Balance vs Balance MU, any passive wall mons might give your opponent free time to heal up the imposter Chansey (which you need to wear down to actually sweep with certain offense + teammate improof Combo) or sometimes the Chansey just sits there are PP Stall you. Volt Aborb Gyara with a Trapping move can actually stop this from happening if you opt to use Volt Switch on your passive walls. If they send in imposter when you pivot out, sending in Gyara gives them no time to heal up; sending in Gyara can always prevent a PP stall case, etc. (It does lose the momentum on opposing Groud type mons though, as a tradeoff.)

Some versions of Volt Absorb Gyara packed U-turn for safer momentum and Pursuit to deal with some MMY and Gengar sets with direct damage etc. ( See Flint's replay above for example.)

2.
The other set(s) is about Plate Contrary. Low ladder contrary spammer leaves the impression of using it opens the door of being easily counter swept. There are already a lot of Plate Contrary mons that opt for certain coverage type judgment and depending on a teammate to improof. (Ground / Fairy Judgment MMY, for example.) and a lot more using a teammate's special typing/ability to improof. However, the following Contrary sets, if played right can simply win against Imposter one on one.

Groudon-Primal @ Earth Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Judgment
- Fleur Cannon
- Shore Up
- V-create
If needed to play safely against imposter, defense up first by ~2 V-create. Or put Sunsteel over Shore up and leave it to a teammate to improof.

Gengar-Mega @ Spooky Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fleur Cannon
- Leaf Storm
- Judgment
- Sludge Bomb / Surf / Taunt
Surf is a meme to beat Pdon one on one without any setup lol

Reshiram @ Draco Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Judgment
- V-create
- Shore Up
- Leaf Storm

Sceptile-Mega @ Draco Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Leaf Storm
- Spore
- Earth Power

As you can see, these sets utilize their 2 or 4 times resistance for a combination of Contrary moves, and pack with a STAB Judgment that actually is SE to itself / Imposter, and sometimes pack V-create for the boost on the defensive sides to better tank the Judgment. Be cautious in using them, scout opposing Chansey's item asap with any hits from your side. Even U-turn on your wall mons can reveal the item is eviolite or not for most of the times. If the item is not Etiolate, proceed with cautious since it might be plate / Lucky Punch (died off a bit this gen, idk why lol).

They are effective if played right, but they struggle against Earth Plate Chansey which is quite a reasonable choice this gen with so many plate-using-self-improof attackers weak to ground. Therefore next one is the superior, imo.

Rayquaza-Mega @ Draco Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive/Hasty Nature
- Judgment
- Leaf Storm
- Shore Up
- V-create

Now Earth Plate Chansey does nothing to u and you can use it as a good set up chance. Some calcs vs Eviolite Imposter is presented

+2 252 SpA Rayquaza-Mega Judgment vs. +1 248 HP / 252- SpD Rayquaza-Mega: 164-193 (39.7 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+4 252 SpA Rayquaza-Mega Judgment vs. +2 248 HP / 252- SpD Rayquaza-Mega: 183-216 (44.3 - 52.3%) -- 17.6% chance to 2HKO

+6 252 SpA Rayquaza-Mega Judgment vs. +4 248 HP / 252- SpD Rayquaza-Mega: 164-193 (39.7 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Once you get enough V-create buff on defense, use Leaf storm twice before attacking with Judgment.

+4 252 SpA Draco Plate Rayquaza-Mega Judgment vs. +1 252 HP / 252- SpD Eviolite Rayquaza-Mega: 588-692 (83.5 - 98.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Possible damage amounts: (588, 594, 600, 608, 614, 620, 630, 636, 642, 650, 656, 662, 672, 678, 684, 692)

+4 252 SpA Draco Plate Rayquaza-Mega Judgment vs. +2 252 HP / 252- SpD Eviolite Rayquaza-Mega: 440-518 (62.5 - 73.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I used this quite many times on ladder back in March/April after IO got banned, but didn't save any decent replay to showcase this and switched to abuse more Pdon stuff soon. Somehow I have one featuring morogrim using it, and pretty sure he comes up with this on his own though (mfw I lost my first game against him when he was actually using it too lol)

This set is also used in the game Volkner v Flint, but didn't decide the match that much.

In the end, when using these contrary mons, due to the possibility of getting critted, worn down etc, pack with an unaware wall or sth that can stand as a second improof option.

Dropping other anti-god-squad & anti-meta 1v1 sets

Tapu Fini @ Choice Specs
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 200 HP / 52 Def / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Rock]

Overview:

Role: Lure & Countering three of the most infamous god squad such as Zard family, Kyurem-B, and Gyarados
Category: Creative / Underrated
Usage Difficulty:
Ez

In-depth:

What people normally expect from this Tapu Fini is a Calm Mind set with possible addition of Taunt. They just assume Fini can't do jack without a boost and sets up, uses Substitute, etc. Choice Specs shines here because if stuff like Zard Y or Kyu-B uses Substitute, they are in greater risk of getting OHKOed. Also people tend to underestimate Fini and assume it has 0 raw power with 0 coverage, but they will eventually realize Fini can deal with lots of threats in current meta...

HP Fire can be slapped in if you the rest of your team has no answer to Ferrothorn and want to lure it.

I decided to make my own Band Ferrothorn set because it looked dank on paper.
Whale's Ferrothorn apparently had Poison Jab / Gyro Ball / Power Whip / Unknown move, but I decided to make some adjustments accordingly to my team.

This is just a set that counters Mega Gyarados, Mega Mawile without Fire Fang, all 4 Tapu's (with the exception of Specs HP Fire from Tapu Lele), and other various threats. Also the most notable opponent Ferrothorn can now defeat with Choice band set is Mega Metagross which tends to set up Substitute to block Leech Seed. Also, it baits Mimikyu quite well especially if they think their Mimikyu can stall out Ferrothorn with Curse.

Calcs:
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar-Mega: 344-408 (85.1 - 100.9%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Tapu Fini: 368-434 (106.9 - 126.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-1 188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Gyarados: 198-234 (50.2 - 59.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Bullet Seed (3 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Swampert-Mega: 408-504 (100.9 - 124.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Bullet Seed (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mimikyu: 122-146 (48.6 - 58.1%) -- approx. 98% chance to 2HKO
(Mimikyu will start out will Curse and that will just leave it being OHKOed by such percentage of chance, and SD variants don't do jack)

188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 349-412 (101.4 - 119.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 132 Def Tapu Lele: 660-776 (191.8 - 225.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 140+ Def Tapu Bulu: 438-516 (127.3 - 150%) -- guaranteed OHKO
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Pinsir-Mega: 262-309 (96.6 - 114%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Bulldoze vs. 140 HP / 0 Def Magnezone: 292-344 (92.4 - 108.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
188+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Bulldoze vs. 184 HP / 0 Def Metagross-Mega: 116-138 (33.4 - 39.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Metagross-Mega @ Metagrossite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe or 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Earthquake / Ice Punch / Depending on your team
- Substitute
- Magnet Rise

Overview:

Role: Lure & Countering Sturdy users and Swampert, occasionally beating zard family depending on movesets
Category: Creative / Underrated
Usage Difficulty:
Hard due to Substitute predictions (refer to vs Swampert replay)

In-depth:

Substitute throws a finger to Magnezone using Gigavolt Havoc or Mega Aggron using Metal Burst. Simple as that. The reason why I posted the second EV spread is because it is an option of a very, very, underrated strategy of a matchup against Charizard given from UselessCrab. What really makes UC's set different from this set is the usage of Magnet Rise which punishes Donphan / Golem / Avalugg as they attempt to use Earthquake. If the former two spams Counter, Substitute will make them press X button as Metagross 2HKOs them with Iron Head. Also Magnet Rise guarantees a win against Kyurem-B which rarely holds Weakness Policy to hit back and OHKO Metagross with +2 Earth Power or other Scarf variants.

Calcs:

You don't need calcs for Mega Metagross... it is very straightfoward and you know them all ._.

It's all in your head
i was considering waiting until after bhpl for this but at this point i have so many sets that no one can ct me hehe

before the sets i wanted to give my thoughts on the meta right now from what i've seen on the ladder

the metagame is extremely saturated, this means that due to the incredible amount of threats (specs ray, specs diancie, ph regi, specs mmy, lens pdon, ate pdon, ph ogre, aps, contrary, shed to name a few) you lose from matchup a lot no matter what you try to prepare for, like in oras ou. a pdon suspect is needed in my opinion because pdon is legitimately impossible to prepare for between like 2 sets (say cb lens with v create/sunsteel/u-turn/ice hammer and earth plate pixilate with boom/judgment/bolt strike/smash) without something dumb like soundproof giratina or volt absorb mega slowbro.

special feature: how i come up with sets (definitive edition) in addition to the ch set generator. also free ch and update the generator to gen 7

edit: 1v1 me sugarhigh

now on to the sets
first off

bring an umbrella (Rayquaza-Mega) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Origin Pulse
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed / filler

rainquaza. using gyarados in ou taught me that flying water is actually a broken offensive typing so this set sorta came to me. thanks to primordial sea, rayquaza gets an accurate, powerful flying stab as well as a boosted water move that's just as strong.

unfortunately not many mons in bh are actually weak to flying/water (pdon is the only thing off the top of my head) so you can have trouble forcing stuff out, but rayquaza can 2hko pretty much anything after knocking off any assault vests or eviolites. regenvest primal kyogre, the most prominent special wall in bh, gets 2hkod by hurricane after knock off. solgaleo gets 2hkod by origin pulse. it's pretty niche but fun.

then again it could be better than that, the team i used it on was absolutely awful. its setup check is soundproof yveltal lol

edit: mamp had the idea of running core enforcer over knock off or in last slot which seems cool to threaten zyg and others. i'm paranoid about regenvest fairies and i don't know why because i haven't seen any so you'll probably be fine

replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7balancedhackmons-624471081 opponent wasn't that good but you can get a rough estimate of the set's power

i thought barry b benson was a cool mon so i tried to build around it. it was like pheromosa except it forced out fairies instead of steels. however just like in ou, there were numerous defensive threats such as steels that walled its stab combo. fc giratina in particular couldn't be dealt with by simply slapping a coverage move. here are my attempts to solve these problems:

1) ladder hero special
vespiquen isn't bad (Beedrill-Mega) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Tinted Lens / Turboblaze
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mirror Move
- Attack Order
- Poison Jab
- V-create / Precipice Blades

i was checking out Elo Bandit 's youtube channel and he was using a z mirror move dodrio. z mirror move has the useful effect of increasing the user's attack by 2 and then using the z counterpart of the opponent's move. can you see where i'm going with this?

+2 252 Atk Tinted Lens Beedrill-Mega Savage Spin-Out (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Registeel: 274-324 (75.2 - 89%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (u-turn, you need eject button for this)
+2 252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Never-Ending Nightmare (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 538-634 (106.7 - 125.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO (spectral thief)
+2 252 Atk Tinted Lens Beedrill-Mega Inferno Overdrive (220 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Groudon-Primal: 300-352 (74.2 - 87.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (v create)
+2 252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Tectonic Rage (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Groudon-Primal: 490-578 (121.2 - 143%) -- guaranteed OHKO (karrows)
the set struggles with long run sweeping and stuff due to the one time nature of z mirror move, like at best you can try and get a poison from poison jab. (don't ever use gunk shot outside of no guard, the power is not worth it) it's also kinda prediction reliant. but if you want to stunt on someone with beedrill, this is the set to use

sorry no replays because for some reason no one on ladder has ph regi counters

2) killer bee
YA LIKE JAZZ (Beedrill-Mega) @ Choice Band
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Poison Jab
- V-create / Precipice Blades / Thousand Arrows / Close Combat
- Trick / filler

i figured that if i couldn't brute force my way past giratina, i might be able to wear it down through other methods. the crux of the set is poison touch u-turn which gives you momentum while wearing down anything that tries to switch in and gets unlucky. poison heal giratina is a problem though so you can run spectral thief or maybe something dumb like core enforcer in the last slot.

v create beats steels, other options do this as well. for imposter you should get something that isn't affected by poison (ph, steels/poisons) and doesn't take that much from u-turn (not ferrothorn); tailor your coverage and filler depending on what you're using here.

replay:
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7balancedhackmons-624936704 giratina was pretty much unable to do anything throughout the match

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL (Deoxys-Attack) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 7 Def / 28 SpD
- Psycho Boost
- Psystrike
- Moongeist Beam / filler
- steel smacker

specs surge deoxys a. it's basically specs surge mmy but with two important differences:
  • deoxys normally runs shell smash so you get that thicc bluff
  • completely invalidates imposter as a switchin, like with the given ivs even eviolite chansey just drops to one attack
less important but it's also faster than some prominent stuff, mainly mscept, so it can revenge kill those if needed

another cool thing is that it has 180 base attack so it can effectively use the supreme steel smacker, v create, to hit av solgaleo. outside of that v create is pretty mediocre tho like it's basically blue flare but with a speed drop. would not recommend

replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7balancedhackmons-624930320 that diancie could've been scarf but i live on the e d g e

hope you liked the post, if you didn't then that makes me sad :< regen vest guzzlord is actually the future. see you all later o/

Expert Belt Pixilate Diancie
The Expert Belt boosts attacks which are super-effective against the target by 1.2 - this means, if you have the coverage to hit the whole meta for super-effective damage, you can use an Expert Belt for nearly the same boost as a Life Orb would give, but without recoil. However, this is BH and this means, Imposter Chansey exists, so you have to be careful with your coverage options to not lose to your own mon. While experimenting with Pixilate Diancie, I realized that I could run coverage against all of its switchins - while still being able to improof it with a Desolate Land Groudon-Primal.

Diancie-Mega @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Boomburst
- V-create
- Steam Eruption
- Bolt Strike

Boomburst gets STAB and a 1.2x boost thanks to Pixilate and nukes those fat dragon types. V-create kills steels. Steam Eruption hits non-Desolate Land Groudon and Bolt Strike hits (RegenVest) POgre and has a small chance of OHKOing after Stealth Rock while Diancie survives a Scald from fuil health.
The only mons which can switch in safely are those with abilities like Flash Fire or Desolate Land, but Flash Fire steels still take some damage from Steam Eruption or Bolt Strike and may receive burns or paralysis and most Desolate Land Groudons are offensive ones without Recovery, so that they can't switch in repeatedly.

To imposterproof this, I use a Desolate Land PDon:

Groudon-Primal @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Revelation Dance / Thousand Arrows
- Core Enforcer
- Roost
- Sacred Fire

It is immune to both Bolt Strike and Steam Eruption while tanking Bommbursts and V-creates easily and being able to hit the copied Diancie super-effectively with its ground STAB. On top of that it also provides a good check to opposing POgres, especially those Tinted Lens ones, can spread annoying burns and has good offensive presence unlike other defensive mons.

Since you're using pixilate only for boomburst, why not try using a more powerful ability such as sheer force moonblast (152.1 bp with life orb) which also bolsters your other moves and eases prediction. You get comarable damage with your Fairy stab:

252 SpA Pixilate Diancie-Mega Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Groudon-Primal: 123-146 (30.4 - 36.1%) -- 50% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Diancie-Mega Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Groudon-Primal: 118-140 (29.2 - 34.6%) -- 7.2% chance to 3HKO

As much as we have been actively participating and spamming, in my case this thread, I found some posts that I believe to be very beneficial to everyone who stops by to read the thread. Please allow me to introduce them:

Pusuit is a very underrated, and very useful move, as it allows me to kill opposing pokemon which want to switch out, while bypassing anti-priority abilities and psychic terrain.
Edit: Apparently Pursuit was prevalent before SM meta, I think it was just because I started playing BH significantly later than others did, and sorry if this caused confusion. But I can say Semako was one of the fewest people who allowed me to realize the viability of Pursuit so I guess that's the purpose of using his post.

I'm not pointing out the efficiency of this set, but I wanted to point out Semako was the first (if not, one of the fewest) person to reveal what Pursuit does in BH metagame. Because MMY's viability has skyrocketed this generation after anti-priority happened, it became significantly harder to revenge kill, and because I mostly build balance teams in BH, I mostly carried something like Yveltal to check it and hoped Stealth Rock will eventually wear it down to a degree where it would refrain from switchin in too often. However, things became different as Semako pointed out the existence of this move called Pursuit.

Shy shoutout to Willdbeast for his Krookodile rmt etc etc

Every time choiced MMY failed to make prediction against something like Gyarados or Yveltal, it was punished very hard by getting hit by Pursuit and losing significant portion of its health. This basically forced opponents from mindlessly spamming a certain move and always put them under the tension of anxiety. Also, the efficient usage of Pursuit was clearly visible in some of OMPL gameplays:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7balancedhackmons-602711804 - Turn 21
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7balancedhackmons-609598699 - Turn 39

As seen in the first replay, Gengar w / Gengarite was also Pursuit trapped by Gyarados by making a single mistake, and I believe Pursuit allowed all of us to pressure Gengarite to certain degree during the time it was quite prevalent prior to its ban.

Sceptile-Mega @ Icicle Plate / Draco plate
Ability: Galvanize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Boomburst
- Seed Flare
- Tail Glow
Something I would like to mention about this set is that this post has reflected the prevalence of Primal Groudon using Plates along with setups. While the set itself in the post was also interesting one, but what I found more significant from the post is that I believe this Sceptile set is some sort of a flag mark that signifies some sort of era, in which most setup sweepers are now self-imposterproofed, and therefore became a implicit reminder for everyone to not rely on Imposter for all setup 'mons they will face, but rather slap in something like Prankster D bond or Unaware users which deals with setup much better than Imposter in such specific circumstances.

sukctrio (Dugtrio) @ Mewtwonite X
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 21 HP
- Substitute
- Reversal
- Earthquake
- Memento / Stone Edge / Toxic
As much as I love to build stall in OU, I have decided to use this Mewtwonite X Dugtrio set in my MnM stall team while I was laddering for reqs (still on the way ;-;). Because Sablenite Blissey is such a pain in the butt to deal with in perspective of most balance / stall teams without SD user or Fighting-types, I have decided to get something specifically dedicated to pulverize the blob. But as I was using this set, it turned out that this set can actually revenge kill stuff like Hoopa-U, Xurkitree, and other notable frail sweepers which are often potentially able to break a havoc on defensive cores. I am not sure how viable Dugtrio is in reality in MnM, but I am loving this set at this moment.

Zygarde @ Groundium Z
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Atk / 16 Def / 32 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Thousand Arrows
- Substitute
- Rock Slide
If you haven't noticed, I am anti-god squad player in 1v1 and I have strange hatred against everything that has 600 BST or more, because in my book, that is some sort of "cheating" to earn ez wins in 1v1 ladder by persecuting low ladder folks who don't have much knowledge. I don't use Megagross anymore okay Because of my attitude, I always have been using subpar / uncommon 'mons in 1v1, and over time, it allowed me to come up with stuff like Choice Specs Tapu Fini, bulky spread Chandelure, Choice Band Ferrothorn, and others.

As I was reading through this thread once more from the very first post, I have realized Zygarde, as MaceMaster has mentioned, is a metagame defining threat in OU and is notable threat in 1v1 thanks to access to Thousand Arrows that threatens everything that is not a Grass or Bug type, and they are usually irrelevant with the exception of Mega Heracross and others. Also, because we are given 3 team slots to deal with as much threat as possible in 1v1 metagame, I have realized role compression in a team is extremely important, and I have decided to try out this set. What I immediately realized was unlike other offensive 'mons who usually carry Substitute, Zygarde is actually bulky enough to have a Substitute with 100+ HP, and this became a huge selling point over the likes of Substitute Mega Metagross and other fat 'mons that I used to have. Because Zygarde's Substitute is very hard to break in perspective of passive / defensive opponents, this made matchup against Venusaur, Chansey, Blissey, and other 'mons much better, and for Chansey and Blissey, they will need 2 Seismic Toss to break sub or really high rolls on Psybeam. Aside from that, Zygarde's bulk also allows it to be one of the few Ground-types that survive Modest Magnezone's Hidden Power Ice even being x4 weak to it, and can reliable set up Dragon Dance against opponents who cannot reliably knock out Zygarde in a hit or two. And last but not least, Thousand Arrows allowed Zygarde to become a check to Celesteela as well as aformentioned threats, conclusively making it able to handle most stall shenanigans, Tapu Koko, Pheromosa, Magnezone, Crustle, Celesteela, Tyranitar, Venusaur, and others threats at the same time. This set turned out to be an ideal staple to me, because now I can happily occupy 2 team slots to deal with god squad and most mega 'mons in 1v1 while Zygarde does excellent job handling the rest of the meta most of the time.

Now I will dump something that I find definitely underrated and recently brought a huge jump on my BH testing alt:

Garchomp-Mega @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Precipice Blades
- Dragon Hammer
- Stealth Rock
Overview:

Role: Wallbreaker & Guaranteed Stealth Rock support
Category: Creative / Underrated
Usage Difficulty:
I would say this is very prediction reliant, and I also believe it is important for one to decide when to save this guy for late game or just use it early game to punch holes in other team.

In-depth:

As I keep mentioning, thanks to infamy of Primal Groudon's sheer power from Tinted Lens sets, most teams' physical walls have now been narrowed into:

- Registeel, known as blanket "check" to -ate FakeSpeeders
- FC Giratina / Zygarde-C which are bulky enough to handle even CB Ice Hammer variants of Primal Groudon
- Fur Coat Chansey that is real check to -ate users and FC Kyogre which harasses unprepared teams

During the time I was writing mega chomp analysis, what have I realized about these walls are that none of them resist Garchomp's dual STABs, and those who are naturally bulky enough to take dual STABS, namely Giratina and Zygarde-C, are threatened by Dragon-type moves. Despite these traits of Garchomp (and my I-don't-play-by-your-rules attitude towards every meta), I stopped using Garchomp for a while because full EV limit meta actually pushed Garchomp to a corner and forced to make it carry Choice Band to OHKO Primal Groudon; and thanks to the rest of the meta, Primal Groudon was carrying Ice Hammer 90+% of the time and missing OHKO basically meant death.

However, after esteemed E4 Flint has officially announced Primal Groudon suspected, I started thinking about what 'mons will have their viability skyrocketed, and along with Mega Blaziken making possible comeback, I recalled good old Garchomp and decide to rickroll it on the ladder. It worked out surprisingly well, because most people assumed my chomp was scarf to deal with the rest of the meta better; while this is also a wise option, it kills 0 things after EV limit removal, so I find any chomp that does not run Choice Band quite inefficient. Anyways, it always threatened Primal Groudon and forced it out, and for those who didn't know much about Garchomp or underestimated it, they immediately lost one of their team members through Precipice Blades. Also Stealth Rock, while it is surely an awful move to be locked into especially with a choice item, leaves Mega Garchomp with something worthwhile to do even if it has been afflicted with burn, has a hard counter exists on the other side, or outlived its usefulness.
Edit: forgot to mention setting Stealth Rock is always successful thanks to Mold Breaker.

Conclusively I felt like I needed to mention this set because this is so underrated at this moment and I can clearly tell Mega Garchomp will be one of the must-prepare-threats (or possibly a metagame-defining wallbreaker) after possible ban of Primal Groudon.

Calcs:

252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Groudon-Primal: 408-480 (100.9 - 118.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Audino-Mega: 220-259 (53.6 - 63.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Kyogre: 277-327 (68.5 - 80.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 475-561 (67.4 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Almost nothing can actually switch into this, right?

252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Dragon Hammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 342-404 (67.8 - 80.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Dragon Hammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde-Complete: 338-402 (53.1 - 63.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

If they decide to send Mega Ray or some stuff they won't have a second chance to make "emergency switch-in".

252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Garchomp-Mega Thousand Arrows vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Rayquaza-Mega: 213-252 (51.4 - 60.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Introducing Adaptability Gengar-Mega (BH)!
A lot of Gengar users today are Normalize and they have their faults, like losing against most Magic Bounce users. This Gengar eats them alive due to its unboosted increased power.

Gengar-Mega @ Spooky Plate
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Boomburst

You may have noticed that it has only 3 moves: those are all Gengar needs to be the monster it is. Add something that helps your team or setup, but choose it to be effective against Magic Bounce or Imposterproof. Fighting coverage isn't really necessary because your best options never outdamage STAB and nobody resists Poison/Ghost in this tier anyway. EDIT Tyranitar does. Judgement hits like a truck and the imposter cannot abuse it. Sludge something hits fairies hard and you have to choose between a bit of extra damage and actual poison chance. Meanwhile the imposter deals 14% to you and your Judgement exactly 2hkoes the imposter.
252 SpA Spooky Plate Adaptability Gengar-Mega Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Gengar-Mega: 352-416 (50 - 59%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Boomburst is there to chip at switchins that Gengar naturally forces; for example Boomburst + Sludge Wave kills +SpD Maudino, plus you don't tell the opponent that you are not Normalize. The same goes for Xerneas. Diancie falls to anything bar Boomburst + Sludge Wave but you resist Fairy so it can't revenge kill you with -ate. You get to 2HKO a lot of the meta with SR up.
252 SpA Spooky Plate Adaptability Gengar-Mega Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 174-206 (47.8 - 56.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Spooky Plate Adaptability Gengar-Mega Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Solgaleo: 364-432 (76.1 - 90.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Spooky Plate Adaptability Gengar-Mega Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Kyogre-Primal: 180-214 (44.5 - 52.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Adaptability Gengar-Mega Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Gyarados-Mega: 168-198 (42.6 - 50.2%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Spooky Plate Adaptability Gengar-Mega Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Rayquaza-Mega: 252-298 (60.8 - 71.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Spooky Plate Adaptability Gengar-Mega Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Giratina: 448-528 (88.8 - 104.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock (N.B. other Gengar variants never OHKO (unboosted), Giratina may Knock Off you to eliminate offensive presence).

Options on 4th move.
Quiver Dance: at +1 you are even more aggressively killing stuff and Haze users cannot switch on you because you 2HKO most of them, even when Unaware.
Venoshock: imposterproof, this move will kill any poisoned fairy that abuses their typing to be immune to Core Enforcer, like PH Xerneas or Audino-Mega. (reminder, Audino is bulkier then Xern).
252 SpA Adaptability Gengar-Mega Venoshock (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Audino-Mega: 428-504 (104.3 - 122.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Secret Sword: imposterproof, targets Fur Coat Chansey, that is. And Bastiodon.
Toxic Spikes: once up they pressure the defogger to clear them or let you score juicy 2HKO. The imposter doesn't remove them on switchin, but you do.
Toxic: Wear down switchin, return later.

Appreciated teammates: anything that removes AV and chips damage is appreciated. Psysurge is appreciated on the field if you are worried about priority but teams that use surge don't run priority anyway. SR support is very nice, and so is paralyzing the few things that naturally outspeeds you, such as MMY.

What to avoid:
Stuff that you can't kill before they get to hit you. You are frail, don't push your luck. Grab the calculator and be sure that Audino is KOed by your Sludge something before clicking that, since while unboosted it never OHKOs (sorry). At +1 you are cool.
Arceus: even with SR you are not granted the 2HKO usually. Poison it and return with Venoshock later, or let someone finish the job or at least begin it.
Prankster: they usually outlast you, unless they are very weak to your hits. Avoid Spore please. And Parting Shot, they cut your potential.

Replays:
Uh, I forgot to save them recently, so I'm sorry, I can't provide them. It did beat people and teams, like Semako with the posted team on RMT here.

Uh. That's all.
EDIT: thanks Silver_Lucario42 and Phat Albert for remembering me that Tyranitar exists and resists both Gengar STAB. If you wan't to kill it, Aura Sphere/Secret Sword 2HKO it.

Uh. That's all.
i don't really see the point of boomburst, like at all. the normalize bluff fails against anyone with a damage calculator because of how its damage is increased by 1.2x with normalize. also it provides no coverage whatsoever. secret sword hits ttar at least

also the set can't touch shed so leech seed or something sounds ok

no offense but this set doesn't seem very creative or underrated to me. i see it all the time on the ladder to the point that i've stopped leaving my audinos in on it. the special pdon was a more novel set imo

It's underrated because its usage is very low. Boomburst isn't actually hitting anything but doing chip damage is its only job. The fact is Secret Sword only actually hits better FC chansey and double weaknesses and (thank you as I forgot it) that is just Tyranitar.
To part where you say that you see it all the time well, I never do. That happens.

IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Sludge Wave / Sludge Bomb

Uh. That's all.
EDIT: thanks Silver_Lucario42 and Phat Albert for remembering me that Tyranitar exists and resists both Gengar STAB. If you wan't to kill it, Aura Sphere/Secret Sword 2HKO it.
Yeah. This isn't creative or underrated at all. Adap Gengar has been getting usage since early gen-6. Also, boomburst is bad coverage, use sword.

MAMP

MAMP!
some lit bh sets

THECHAMP (Ampharos-Mega) @ Draco Plate
Ability: Galvanize
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Tail Glow
- Boomburst
- Judgment

this set is a lot better than it looks, i swear. amp is almost the optimal trick room sweeper bc its slow as balls (underspeeds most min speed defensive mons), 2hkos most of the meta with just stabs, and (most importantly) it beats imposter. this set is an excellent late-game cleaner once their team is worn down a bit and is almost unstoppable if you can get off the double dance. mega amp has a nice set of resists and enough bulk to reliably get off at least one of its set up moves, and will often be able to get up both if your opponent doesn't know what the set is and sends in some passive nonsense like audino

this set also crushes stall bc you just tail glow up and click buttons and everybody drops, all the common unawares are weak to amps stabs

if you use this set you have to keep the nickname, thats the law

Lucario-Mega @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Close Combat
- Sunsteel Strike
- Taunt / King's Shield / Substitute / Knock Off

luc is bad generally but it makes a rl good unburden drummer bc 1) ohkos itself with stab 2) stab sunsteel ohkos every common unaware at +6 except gyara which drops to cc 3) cc bops the most common prankster haze mon, registeel, meaning they have to trade regi if they want to haze you

this set is can be hard to set up bc frail so i recommend pairing with subpass or aurora veil or similar. its bulky enough to take some common priority after a drum if you havent dropped your defenses with cc which can catch people off guard sometimes, but still good to run with pterrain support

252+ SpA Sky Plate Rayquaza-Mega Oblivion Wing vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Lucario-Mega: 219-258 (63.6 - 75%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Sky Plate Aerilate Rayquaza-Mega Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Lucario-Mega: 207-244 (60.1 - 70.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Pixie Plate Pixilate Diancie-Mega Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Lucario-Mega: 207-244 (60.1 - 70.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

not sure whats best for the last move. koff lets you hit aegi and mega slowbro which are basically the only things that wall this at +6, ks lets you take on -ate better but makes playing against imposter weird, sub gives set-up opportunities and lets you trigger unburden without having to drum, and taunt lets you do fun things against prankster haze mons (taunt them as they haze, drum again as they switch and get another kill)

Rayquaza-Mega @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Ascent
- V-create
- Sunsteel Strike

Banned deucer.
UC must tired of me at this point but I am too triggered bc I became a year older
Well, suspect period is reaching its end... and TI said post the sets I had success with (which I have been hopefully doing for most of the time iirc)... so let me partially reveal my arsenal:

BH Primal Groudon suspect ladder report:

Material 1: Beauty

Diancie-Mega @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Boomburst
- Extreme Speed
- V-create
The first move would better be titled "Hazard of choice". Diancie-Mega is one of the very few threats that still fits in many balance and offense teams thanks to the infamy of its Pixilate sets threatening majority of non-Steel walls and this trait has been abused with the usage of hazard. Magic Bounce Audino is 2HKOed by Boomburst and therefore cannot switch in. Also if it turns out one slaps in Magic Bounce on Steel-type, they are still "trapped in their mindsets" from Gen 6 so just delete them using V-create.

Because Diancie already threatens more than half of the metagame simply by existing on the field, it can afford to run Boomburst and Extreme Speed which are staples to -ate user, and have two moveslots vacant. Now, I was considering using Precipice Blades because Primal Groudon's absence in suspect ladder meant I could use a different move that is dedicated to hit Steel-type while not lowering Diancie's stats afterwards. However, without carrying Life Orb (which wears down Diancie) or Expert Belt (which does not 2HKO Zygarde-C which is crucial especially when dealing with Soundproof variants), Precipice Blades didn't have perfect chance to 2HKO Solgaleo and I also had to consider the chance of missing and getting hit by Sunsteel Strike. Also +Def Registeel had good chance of surviving two Precipice Blades and it usually anticipates the second blow and tended to use Destiny Bond. This is where I slapped in V-create so the calculation becomes:

upload_2017-9-21_22-59-30.png

This is the assumption of a scenario of Pixie Plate Diancie vs. Standard AV Regen Solgaleo. Boomburst + V-create has a roll of 86.7% - 102.2 which meant there is still more chance I will miss out KO against it. At that moment, I have decided to slap in Stealth Rock into a moveset which turns the roll into 92.7% - 108.2% which is significantly better. The chance of Boomburst + V-create becomes close to 100% if Solgaleo was chipped by taking slow Core Enforcer from the likes of Giratina or AV Regen Kyogre which does clearly over 7.3% which is the most ideal chip needed for Diancie to lure and KO Solgaleo. So Stealth Rock turns out to be a very helpful move which helps Diancie lure.

Hasty > Naive so you can revenge kill Triage Rayquaza (Pixie Plate -> Safety Goggles in this case). Missing out Pixie Plate will be worth if your team has crapload of Knock Off support which will compensate the Boomburst damage on Solgaleo once you get rid of Assault Vest.

Also +Def Registeel had good chance of surviving two Precipice Blades
252 Atk Diancie-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Registeel: 166-196 (45.6 - 53.8%) -- 46.9% chance to 2HKO

The chance of Boomburst + V-create becomes close to 100% if Solgaleo was chipped by taking slow Core Enforcer from the likes of Giratina or AV Regen Kyogre which does clearly over 7.3%
252 SpA Giratina Core Enforcer vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Solgaleo: 36-42 (7.5 - 8.7%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 SpA Kyogre-Primal Core Enforcer vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Solgaleo: 36-43 (7.5 - 8.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Hasty > Naive so you can revenge kill Triage Rayquaza.
Naive: +3 252+ SpA Life Orb Rayquaza-Mega Oblivion Wing vs. 252 HP / 252- SpD Diancie-Mega: 246-289 (80.9 - 95%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Hasty: +3 252+ SpA Life Orb Rayquaza-Mega Oblivion Wing vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Diancie-Mega: 220-260 (72.3 - 85.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Material 2: Megalomania

Gengar-Mega @ Toxic Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Judgment
- Fleur Cannon
- Secret Sword / Leaf Storm
One time in Discord or somewhere I heard someone talking about Contrary Gengar during the discussion about what can counter / check Gengar in current metagame and I have realized I have to give this a try. Because Gengar's main STAB's couldn't be abused with Contrary, choosing the most optimal moveset was difficult. I was hesitating between moveset I pasted above or the other set with Spooky Plate & Judgment / Sludge Wave / Fleur Cannon / Filler. The problem was that there was no way for Gengar to actually OHKO Mega Audino which would be lured in easily expecting Normalize sets, and I was thinking about dropping this until I realized this happens:

upload_2017-9-21_23-25-17.png

(Toxic Plate Gengar vs + SpDef Mega Audino)
Now, this essentially meant Mega Audino could be lured in and be KOed by Fleur Cannon + Toxic Plate even if it turns out to be Unaware variant, and this is something that Spooky Plate variants are not capable of doing. The reason why this matters is that once Audino lives attacks, it uses Knock Off which turns Gengar into a shit for the rest of the match or possibly Nuzzle if you are that person. Anyways, because Stealth Rock support from Diancie in the same team guaranteed a KO against Audino, this Gengar now has essentially no switch-ins unless you are my fan and still use AV Regen Meloetta which is bad nowadays.

Enough with specific situations; what this Gengar does after accumulating boosts is just insane. Assuming Mewtwo family were eliminated, Gengar just happily kills everything in its path and kills Unaware users with Moongeist Beam, Audino with Toxic Plate Judgment, and Gyarados / Yveltal with Leaf Storm / Fleur Cannon with appropriate predictions. Since I decided to forgo Spooky Plate, now this set will need a separate 'mon to imposterproof. But it isn't even that hard imo. Just get your own Unaware Audino because your opponent's Imposter Chansey won't be holding a Toxic Plate unless they are counter-intuitive counter-teamer or Unaware Arceus if you are not using Secret Sword because it also checks Mega Rayquaza and Sceptile outsides this specific Gengar set.

Jsyk, Kyogre can screw you over if you don't have Leaf Storm and FC Chansey will say hi if you don't have Secret Sword. Play around these walls and choose the appropriate move depending on the rest of the team.

Material 3: Sharpest Tools in the Shed

Gyarados / Tyranitar-Mega @ Choice Band
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 Spd
Brave Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Filler (will explain)
The reason why I came up with this set is because ever since motherlove talked about Pursuit trapping in AAA and viability of Alolan Muk in BH, I became addicted to Pursuit trapping and decided to make trapping sets. I also needed a way to get rid of MMY for my Contrary Gengar so it can sweep late game. As I mentioned in the team dump I made, I had two teams named "F**k Solgaleo" which actually was built to pursuit trap Solgaleo to open a way for MMY and Diancie to tear other 'mons apart. The reason why I find these two 'mons with CB + Tough Claws underrated is because the damage they actually do is hilarious:

252+ Atk Choice Band Tough Claws Gyarados-Mega Pursuit vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Solgaleo: 240-284 (50.2 - 59.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Tough Claws Gyarados-Mega Pursuit vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 204-242 (40.4 - 48%) -- 59.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

This is BP 40 Pursuit which means switching out means they will actually die. And Tyranitar has higher Attack so it has even higher chance to remove Giratina which mostly runs PH nowadays because Titned Lens Pdon isn't around anymore. If they want to stay in, something more tragic happens:

252+ Atk Choice Band Tough Claws Gyarados-Mega Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Solgaleo: 588-692 (123 - 144.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Tough Claws Gyarados-Mega Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 492-582 (97.6 - 115.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Solgaleo: I don't want to lose Assault Vest so I will pivot out using U-turn and chip their ass.
Giratina: I'm going to have my Toxic Orb knocked off beforehand so I can switch in to this guy over and over afterwards.
Well now it's dead.

Yesterday someone in Discord reported untransformed Chansey's death because it got hit by Gyarados using Pursuit. Poor thing.

0 EV with Brave nature lets you underspeed minimum Speed Sogaleo by 1 Speed so you won't look like a mental when you use Pursuit first and watch Solgaleo U-turn away as you throw your computer and split it into half. 0 IV's are needed to Pursuit trap Giratina using U-turn so you will hit it afterwards.

Filler: Switcheroo works for both of them, Crabhammer for Gyarados because it 2HKOs Registeel and Mega Audino, and maybe Head Smash for Tyranitar and go Adaptability if you are the real og big daddy. Sunsteel Strike is good if you hate FC Audino and Shedinja.

--
I have 20+ replays saved for these three sets but replays don't work at this moment. What a shame.

Thanks to all in Discord who inspires my virtuoso-ish brain, brought up Contrary Gengar, tested with Choice Band + Tough Claws squad... and to you who read stuff I post in this thread.

I WEAR YEEZY™ (Gardevoir-Mega) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psycho Boost
- Psystrike
- Fleur Cannon
- Leech Seed / filler to kill shed (you're never using it to heal let's be honest garde is here to kill things)

this thing has one counter in psychic terrain: solgaleo. everything else dies.
registeel:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Gardevoir-Mega Psycho Boost vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel in Psychic Terrain: 364-428 (100 - 117.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Gardevoir-Mega Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Registeel in Psychic Terrain: 286-336 (78.5 - 92.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

solgaleo without av:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Gardevoir-Mega Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Solgaleo: 324-382 (67.9 - 80%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

fc chansey:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Gardevoir-Mega Psystrike vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Fur Coat Chansey in Psychic Terrain: 321-378 (45.6 - 53.7%) -- 41% chance to 2HKO

imposter eviolite chansey:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Gardevoir-Mega Psystrike vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Eviolite Chansey in Psychic Terrain: 330-390 (46.9 - 55.4%) -- 74.2% chance to 2HKO

mega audino:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Gardevoir-Mega Psycho Boost vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Audino-Mega in Psychic Terrain: 414-487 (100.9 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
this needs a lot of support to work though. like a lot. life orb knock off mmy was a cool partner because it knocked off solgaleo's av and set terrain, while gardevoir took advantage of the switchins given by lo psycho boost to break the opposing team. even then, it wasn't that good in practice because of how i needed a dedicated imposter proofer in muk-a and a backbone to beat offense. still tho i believe it's a set with potential

replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7balancedhackmons-630503244

now here's something from 1v1

1010010001010101 (Porygon-Z) @ Normalium Z
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 244 HP / 32 SpA / 232 Spe
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Hyper Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Hidden Power [Fighting] / Hidden Power [Ground]

np + z hyper beam pz got some popularity in ou a while ago until people realized that it was bad. it looked like a cool mon to try out in 1v1 so i started with a simple 252 spa/252 spe set and lost to everything. however, this bulkier spread turned out to be actually pretty good.

stuff it does:
beats offensive gyara
32+ SpA Adaptability Porygon-Z Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados-Mega: 334-394 (100.9 - 119%) -- guaranteed OHKO
beats a specialized bulky gyara spread most of the time
+1 252+ Atk Mold Breaker Gyarados-Mega Waterfall vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Porygon-Z: 328-387 (88.1 - 104%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
beats defensive zard x unless they have this weird full spdef spread and you miss the roll
32+ SpA Adaptability Porygon-Z Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Charizard-Mega-X: 336-396 (93.3 - 110%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
beats every kyub but icium and cb
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Outrage vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Porygon-Z: 322-379 (86.5 - 101.8%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
outruns smeargle and dunks it before it can spore you. if your team has no problem with smeargle you can run less speed maybe

beats all the stallers in the game. you can just click np and then kill them.
+4 32+ SpA Adaptability Porygon-Z Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 800-942 (113.7 - 133.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
if you want you can run uproar to kill subseed mons. they deserve it.

beats other offensive stuff that can't one shot, like chomp and fini, as well as mons with slower spreads like bulky lele

it loses to fast z move/choice users and sturdy/mimikyu. not too bad imo

i'm still not very good at 1v1 but hopefully this set doesn't show that

now let's get to the bh stuff again.

i made a team with three heat sets on it. this is honestly really cool because of how you can just get replays with the whole team and have that count for every mon

stakeout did nothing wrong (Pheromosa) @ Leftovers / Expert Belt
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Close Combat
- Icicle Crash
- Swords Dance / a hazard or something

illusion pheromosa was something i thought of as a 6th mon for my team. i needed something that a) did well against offense, b) did well against balance/stall, and c) supported the team. i thought a mon like that didn't exist until i thought of this and it just tied the team together.

unfortunately 137 attack (iirc) without a boosting item isn't the best for breaking; most fc users wall this set. this makes it easier to imposter proof, though. swords dance was my initial choice but the more i think about it the more appealing tspikes or something looks

leftovers pheromosa looks silly, but it works better than you'd expect against balance and stuff. say you lure in a registeel and do like 75% w close combat as they click u turn. now normally you wouldn't have much success performing similar stunts in the future (because of how illusion doesn't mask your hp bar), but leftovers allows you to get back to full hp gradually on forced switches. this can keep your opponent on their toes

waow 3 waifus in the same post (Diancie) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- U-turn
- Baneful Bunker
- Worry Seed
- Spectral Thief

i originally added ph diancie to my team for imposter proofing purposes but it's proved its worth as a very solid (no pun intended) mon. in this meta, hard counters to ph regi are as useful as they are rare, and the flying resist diancie provides is also incredibly helpful vs guys like ray.

worry seed is the best choice for ability removal on this set because diancie is a mon that can beat ph fairies surprisingly reliably. no ph fairies hit it super effectively at the risk of losing to imposter except like offensive fini.

i wasn't the first to come up with this set (it's listed on the vr) but it really is a nice alternative to audino. try it out sometime

Cherry Dragon (Reshiram) @ Leftovers
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Core Enforcer
- Magma Storm
- Taunt
- Baneful Bunker

cherry dragon. this is probably one of my favorite sets i've ever used. it just wins in the long run against any stall team as long as you're patient and hit your magma storms on a semi consistent basis.

the deal of the set is that you click magma storm against registeel and trap something like say audino. after that you can taunt them out of recovery and poison them with bunker if they try to use u turn, sharply increasing the aesthetic of the chip damage. it also just auto wins against any fat set that uses parting shot or bp to pivot out BEST RATTLEPASS MON THIS TIME IT WILL WORK GUYS I SWEAR

core enforcer as a secondary stab is helpful for something like regen vest volt switch ogre or ph giratina. fire/dragon is also pretty great offensively

leftovers is necessary to keep reshiram healthy over the course of the game. baneful bunker + lefties is lit

if you use this set you have to keep the nickname, thats the law

Two sets for AAA and one set for 1v1.

Coming up with sets I succeeded with was fairly tough, especially if I am playing on the meta that I am not the most familiar with.
But AAA suspect was some sort of trial for me to come up with these sets which helped me get reqs the very first time, in only couple days.

Along with already-known threats like Adaptability Bisharp, Sheer Force Genesect, I used these 'mons to ladder for Terrakion suspect:

Hydreigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 208 HP / 92 SpA / 120 SpD / 88 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
- U-turn
- Roost

Usually I slap in Magic Bounce on fat stuff, like Buzzwole, Zapdos, and others. And I tried coming up with a better Magic Bounce user that can prevail against Steath Rock users, such as Heatran, Nihilego, and others. Besides that, most of the teams I initially attempted to build for suspect had some trouble with Desolate Land Heatran, because I am not a huge fan of slapping Flash Fire or Primordial Sea because once the ability is revealed the user loses a lot of its utility. When I found Hydreigon during the time I was attempting to build a set that is dedicated to check Heatran, I noticed that Dark / Dragon that lets it retreat against Weavile easily, switch into Psychic- and Ghost-types in emergency, and resistances against Fire and Water were also nifty. I know this is very much the same to a plethora of Dark- and Dragon-types in the tier, but Hydreigon in particular had some offensive presence and had access to Roost as reliable recovery and U-turn which lets it bring in wincons in safety. Also, most hyperoffensive teams using weather / terrain leads with Mew, and this Hydreigon makes the great anti-lead for them. Those variants of Mew can't afford to carry stuff like Mold Breaker over Drought / Drizzle / Electric Surge / etc, and probably the best they can do is hitting Hydreigon with U-turn before Hydreigon does the same to switch-in or setting that rare Aurora Veil.

EV's are kinda messy; 208 HP lets Hydreigon get good mixed bulk that is enough to survive Tinted Lens Victini's V-create after Stealth Rock damage.. It also keeps Hydreigon's HP at 16n + 1, maximizing the efficiency of Leftovers, and minimizing fraction-based damage from Stealth Rock, Magma Strom damage from Heatran, and others. 92 SpA lets Hydreigon outright OHKO uninvested Heatran (although I see Heatran with some HP EV's much more often, Hydreigon still needs this much SpA investment to have some offensive presence) while 88 Spe EV with Timid nature allows it to outspeed Timid Heatran and Victini at -1. The rest of the EV's were dumped onto Special Defense to take on special hits better in general against the likes of Zapdos, Toxapex, and unboosted Xurkitree. Movesets are very self-exanatory: STAB, a coverage move that is meant to hit Heatran / Toxapex / etc, pivoting move, and recovery.

Zygarde @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 232 Atk / 132 SpA / 144 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Draco Meteor
- Thousand Arrows

The only reason I haven't been using Zygarde is that I believed it is very predictable; whether it is Choice Band or Dragon Dance variant, it is easily shut down by the likes of Hippowdon and Buzzwole. Some people carry Toxic then Magic Bounce happens. I have seen someone using Psychium Z with Zen Headbutt to specifically target Buzzwole but I found this rather a gimmicky option and Unaware users still walls Zygarde. What have I decided to do is making a mixed lure using Adaptability. The set was fairly easy to come up with thanks to Thousand Arrows. It is a move that hits the entirety of the metagame and takes a single slot and it allowed me to fill in a vacant moveslot with something special.

Before I go over the moves I have to say this set, although it is different from Jrdn's, has been derived from his Adaptability Zygarde set I have seen one day in the ladder match against him. If I remember correctly his Zygarde had Core Enforcer and Life Orb. I was gonna be a weenie copycat and do the same but the damage it does to defensive roadblocks that usually stop Zygarde are not even close to getting 2HKO'd. That is when I have decided to slap in Draco Meteor which lets Zygarde do stuff like this:

132 SpA Adaptability Zygarde Devastating Drake (195 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Hippowdon: 360-424 (85.7 - 100.9%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
132 SpA Adaptability Zygarde Devastating Drake (195 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Eviolite Gligar: 260-306 (77.8 - 91.6%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
132 SpA Adaptability Zygarde Devastating Drake (195 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Buzzwole: 454-536 (108.6 - 128.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
132 SpA Adaptability Zygarde Devastating Drake (195 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mandibuzz: 286-338 (67.4 - 79.7%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Most of these calcs are very shaky but these usual checks for Zygarde switch into Thousand Arrows and then they are put into KO range of Devastating Drake. What Zygarde can do afterwards is switch out against next opponent that tries to revenge kill it, come back later and sweep with Dragon Dance boosts. Also the crux of the set is that, unless the lured opponent had Intimidate, opponent will be like "Oh Devastating Drake had such a shit roll, lmao I will just send another fat guy and wall this Zygarde" because they can't tell what Dragon-type move has been used for Devastating Drake. That means Zygarde will get a chance to KO another Pokemon or dent it if opponent sends in another specially frail foe.

132 Special Attack EV's, as shown in calcs, allows Zygarde to perform crazy showcases of damage output to physically defensive walls, while 144 Speed allows Zygarde to outspeed all Pokemon whose Speed creeps around 70's while outspeeding Adamant Gyarados and set up Dragon Dance in front of its face if Gyarados gets overconfident and tries to set up on Zygarde. The rest of the EV's were thrown into Attack to maximize Zygarde's power for late game cleaning. Probably not investing in bulk at all + having Naughty nature means one must play very carefully with this set but the number of forces Zygarde forces and the number of Pokemon it lures alleviate this issue.

--

Unfortunately the replays are gone thanks to that breakdown one day, but I can say that the fact that I got AAA reqs for the first time with decent (in my pespective) is the proof that I have succeeded with these sets.

Also let me drop a dank set for 1v1:

Magearna @ Fairium Z
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fleur Cannon
- Calm Mind
- Trick Room
- Pain Split

Reqs is 2600 COIL. fml

Okay I hear "wtf is this" from your timezones but please calm yourselves and listen to me.
Yeah 1v1 suspect was awful as hell as usual and it was a tilting experience. But out of that, I explored this valuable set that I use to turn tides against its usual checks.

The point of this set is accumulating as much Calm Mind boosts as possible before Magearna throws Twinkle Tackle. Against threats like Choice Specs Tapu Fini which is faster than Magearna and 2HKOs it, Magearna can set Trick Room, use Calm Mind to survive the second blow, and hit back. Also as shown in replay below, Trick Room + Pain Split can be used to take off stuff like Sturdy or Multiscale from opponents and KO them next turn.
Chansey / Blissey and other fat 'mons will be stuck in an infinite loop of Calm Mind + Pain Split until Magearna gets to +6 and hits back with +6 Twinkle Tackle.

Luckily, I have some replays for Magearna. Some stuff like vs. Mega Tyranitar are very obvious matchups but I wanted to staple them in:

vs. (Defeating its usual checks / winning in situational match-ups)

vs. (No need to see these tbh)

... happy holidays!

Everyone, best of luck in 1v1PL.

I WEAR YEEZY™ (Gardevoir-Mega) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psycho Boost
- Psystrike
- Fleur Cannon
- Leech Seed / filler to kill shed (you're never using it to heal let's be honest garde is here to kill things)

this thing has one counter in psychic terrain: solgaleo. everything else dies.

this needs a lot of support to work though. like a lot. life orb knock off mmy was a cool partner because it knocked off solgaleo's av and set terrain, while gardevoir took advantage of the switchins given by lo psycho boost to break the opposing team. even then, it wasn't that good in practice because of how i needed a dedicated imposter proofer in muk-a and a backbone to beat offense. still tho i believe it's a set with potential

I like it, but I'm 90% sure Trick Room useless. Take for example your Mega Blastoise replay. You used Trick Room on the Hydro Cannon, set up a CM and then KO'd it. You could have just as easily using CM on the Hydro Cannon and KO'd next turn. This would be much the same as using Agility in 1v1: you spend a turn to gain a turn, so you're just wasting a moveslot. HP Ground or HP Fire could be useful here, I think.

That works too but Leech Seed wears down Imposter and lets your imposterproofing wall handle Gardevior much easier. It also heals Gardevoir from chips from Stealth Rock and others.

I took the example on Tapu Fini - getting 2HKOed by fatter and faster stuff. Also to be frank, missing 5 Fleur Cannons was very disheartening experience and I decided to run Trick Room which lets me use +1 Twinkle Tackle. Yeh, maybe other options are mostly superior but I just wanted to make a post about a report on the set that is not used due to it working only in specific situations. Thanks for pointing that out though.

Tapu Fini with Trick Room: Hydro Pump, Trick Room, Calm Mind, Hydro Pump, Twinkle Tackle
Tapu Fini without Trick Room: Hydro Pump, Calm Mind, Hydro Pump, Twinkle Tackle
Trick Room isn't even useful for not missing.

thanks for the feedback!

moongeist beam is an option to hit sheddy, but against solgaleo, it only hits for 200 effective bp as opposed to fleur cannon's 195 with stab and tinted lens.

that doesn't make it a bad option, though, because you can smack solgaleo without dropping your special attack. it's all up to personal preference

I was excited to come in and make a Beedrill post for a BH set because I hadn't seen many of them around here but of course silver_lucario42 posted one quite recently. I'll still share mine, as it has done me some good even higher up on the ladder. Also, I’ll be sharing a MMX I have taken to recently.

Beedrill-Mega @ Buginium Z / Coverage Z
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grass Whistle
- Gunk Shot
- Megahorn
- Icicle Crash / Precipice Blades / Dynamic Punch

Role: MMY killer, fast, goggle ignoring sleep inducer, pressures Fairies
Category: Creative / Underrated
Usage Difficulty
: Depending on the coverage move you choose, this set can be walled by many common defensive mons, but if used carefully, can eliminate opposing offensive threats quickly.

In-depth:

As you will see in the calcs below, this Beedrill is not necessarily a wallbreaker but it can effectively deal with a handful of common and annoying mons, particularly Psychic and Fairy types. With a sleep clause yet to come and goggles ever prevalent, Grass Whistle puts everyone to sleep except MB users, the rare sap sippers, or soundproofers all the while bypassing annoying subs.

Everyone is going to face surge MMY eventually and it is rarely carrying a scarf. That being said, this bee will always out speed MMY and can either one shot it with Megahorn or play it safe and put it to sleep if you suspect a sash. Either way, MMY is gone, asleep, or the switch in is sleeping or hit for chip damage. Depending on the switch in and coverage move chosen, Beedrill has the capability to deal with them as well.

Being weak to stealth rock is never a good thing, so Beedrill must be switch in carefully. This means that team support is required to clear the field of hazards, but that is standard on a BH team. Imposter is always annoying to deal with, but thankfully none of Beedrill's moves are super effective against itself. I pair this mon with MB Magearna running defog to clear hazards and bounce back Grass Whistle, which is usually the first move imposters choose.

Calcs:

STAB moves deal with these offensive and defensive threats:
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Mewtwo-Mega-Y: 432-510 (103.8 - 122.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Savage Spin-Out (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Mewtwo-Mega-X: 271-321 (65.1 - 77.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Audino-Mega: 270-318 (65.8 - 77.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Xerneas: 356-422 (78 - 92.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Diancie-Mega: 162-192 (53.2 - 63.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Coverage moves can knock out other threats with relative ease once they are put to sleep:
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Zygarde-Complete: 288-340 (45.2 - 53.4%) -- 35.2% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Registeel: 158-186 (43.4 - 51%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Beedrill-Mega Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Solgaleo: 220-260 (46 - 54.3%) -- 54.7% chance to 2HKO

In-depth:

In my time playing BH I’ve always been curious about having a special fighting type mon but no one ever seemed to be right for the role. Meloetta is crap and Keldeo is as well, and Pheromosa is too frail. So that led me to MMX, who has very nice speed and a somewhat forgotten special attack stat. Now there aren’t very many powerful special attacking fighting moves outside of focus blast, which led me to run the no guard set.

Focus blast is ran for the most hard hitting STAB move and is the obvious choice. Grasswhistle is my favorite sleep inducer as it will bypass subs and laugh at goggles. Magma storm will trap the switch in and demolish sturdy Shed and blizzard is there for Giratina, non-priority Rayquaza, and Zygarde.

This special MMX is still effective at ousting steels, namely Dialga, Registeel, Solgaleo, and Celesteela, as well as normals such as Regigigas and Arceus. The calcs below show what this MMX can do against some of the bulkier mons in the game. They might not stand out as impressive, but keep in mind that they will be asleep and also unable to switch out most of the time.

As with Beedrill above, this pairs well with bounce or PH fairies. I prefer PH Audino, but you could use PH Xerneas to get the full resist to Focus Blast.

Calcs:

252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Arceus: 446-528 (100.4 - 118.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Dialga: 354-416 (87.6 - 102.9%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 240-284 (65.9 - 78%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Magma Storm vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Celesteela: 118-140 (29.6 - 35.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leech Seed damage (I’m assuming Leech Seed damage is same as Magma Storm)
252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Giratina: 174-206 (34.5 - 40.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leech Seed damage
252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Magma Storm vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Solgaleo: 128-152 (26.7 - 31.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leech Seed damage

252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Magma Storm vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Solgaleo: 128-152 (26.7 - 31.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leech Seed damage

Limited BH knowledge, but I feel as if Grass Whistle is better simply to bypass Soundproof Pokemon which would run Soundproof to stop Boomburst abusers. Not sure what Pokemon would use Sap Sipper or if its used, but I think that it's a very little difference in which to run!
