What are your favorite heroes and/or what heroes do you play best as?

I like Mirana and her arrows. =D

I haven't been playing with her much lately though; I've just been playing with the new Tauren Chieftain and friends.

I think I play best as a supporter hero/tanks/chain casters though (because in pubs, no one likes using them). Guys like Shadow Shaman, Bane Elemental, Centaur, and Pugna are cool.

I play a mean Huskar and an even better Zues. Pretty sure that, picking my best, I would go as Zues. Constant -11%+ hp is no joke. The thing that most people forget to do is use his ult in big team fights instead of just kill stealing all game. Zues absolutely demolishes fragile heroes.

However, I really like playing Queen of Pain. She's nowhere near as good as she was in her glory days where every game QoP was either first pick or first ban. Even so, she's still a useful hero with a niche to fill.

Huskar's a pretty cool hero. Burning Spear is such a strong annoyance skill (I mean, it hurts). I love how much his skills synergize as well.

Zeus, yeah, you use ultimate to weaken. Lots of pubs use it to killsteal, haha.

Queen of Pain, she's a pretty adept versatile nuker and I like that (I never get Shadow Strike though...). Being a ranged Blinker is usually what makes her QoP imo.
She needs a new attack animation however; come on, Enchantress is using it. =/

There are a lot of animations that are overused, but I see what you're saying with the attack animations. QoP has a reasonably fast missile speed though, so if her attack animation were to change it might look weird.

Oh, and does anyone play on THR? It's a system of bots that host games on bnet, and I must say that the playerbase are a clear cut above your average bnet pubber. The cool thing is that everything is tracked so you can see how good you did in your prior games and what you need to improve on. However, people are still semi-pubs, so don't count on your team mates like you would your friends. You'll still get feeders etc, even in tier 2.

I'm sort of the all round player, but I'm recently noticing more of a shift towards supporting heroes and pure gankers. Usually I get some of the top picks in league play when I play some mroe high level games, but in pubbies I always go for something random and see where i'll end up :) The only thing I really dont like is bristleback tough, cant seem to do anything else but tank a shitload of damage and die in teamfights :(

Some favourites include mirana, pudge, capn obvious, mortred, sandking and anti mage, pretty much skill based heroes (altough some exceptions :p)

My best is Gondar, though almost all of my matches have been pubbies, and I haven't played for months.

Usually I harass enemy players at the start with Wind Walk and Shreken Toss, whilst using Mana and Health potions to enable me to stay in my lane healthy, buying a Bottle when I can afford it. This will give me an advantage from the beginning, which will make me stronger than my opponents and able to beat most people 1v1 (Gondar has great killing potential). From then, I act as an assassin, killing players who are separate from their team.

I'm not sure if my strategy will change now though, because Treads got nerfed in one of the latest versions (about 6.60); there's little point in getting if it doesn't give the Attack Speed boost. Travel is too expensive and doesn't help Gondar's killing the potential; Track gives him plenty of Speed.

Yeah, now there's Phase Boots, which is basically the "new treads".

Gondar is quite fun throughout middle game when he gets geared up. I also have a passion of getting Dagon on him for lols (with Arcane Ring). He's an assassin after all!

I'm biased towards Intel heros, particularly nukers. I love Zues, Slayer, Crystal Maiden and the like. Shadow Shaman has always been my favorite hero but I never play him anymore, cause with each passing version he just keeps getting worse and worse. :'(

Lately i've been branching out a little more, using others like PotM, Soul Keeper, and Storm Spirit, and i'm having tons of fun.

Oh, and it doesn't matter what kind of DotA player you are, Techies are just so fucking badass and anyone can have fun using him. =D

I can play all heroes well, although I dislike using most STR heroes other than Crix/Tiny/Kunkka/Pudge/DK, because they're too boring to use these days. That, and Naix is almost always on the opponent team when I play an STR hero :/.

Mortred is probably my best and also my favourite hero who I use whenever I really want to win. Rushing BFury in 12-20 mins (20 if laning against someone like Kunkka), then Boots, Mask Of Death, Black King Bar, then finishing up with PT/BoT, HotD, Satanic, MKB and another BFury in whatever order is required based on the opponent heroes in the current game. Chances are, the opponents lost the game if they can't finish it in 30 mins until I get BKB. Sometimes I fit in Hood, Orchid or Cuirass into the build, or go for Deso+Vladi+Armlet+BKB instead of BFury (in this case I rush Deso in 20 mins), really depends on the situation.

I've actually used PA successfully in clan wars/inhouse before, and have seen her being used by Merlini in a semi-serious league game with great results, so she's more than just the most reliable pubstomper hero. Ironically, she is also my most hated hero to face, but fortunately 90% of the time she's used by noobs (or unfortunately, if that noob is on my team).
