Well there's no question that the move breaks the type chart. The 1.5x is just a way to slightly balance it out. Like I said in the thread for the other type change move, there should be an added resistance to make up for the removal of one.

It's standard electricity...it just can stack with the opponent's electricity and make it too charged up and fry itself.

I am all for this move and any variations. It's just another way for you to chose between power and coverage. I personally think there should be a move like this for every type. Except dragon. Dragon can go to hell.

Lunar Beam is good for an idea, because Dark Pulse sucks. But this isn't going to get us past Reuniclus. What about something with base 40/45 power that always critical hits, like Mountain Storm or Ice Breath? If so, then I'd like this to be available to Sniper mons as well, like Kingdra, Drapion, and Octillery.
