That while being a creative move, was stupid. Seriously, you haven't seen him on IRC? Then send him a Smogon PM, simple as that. If IRC equals calling someone on their PokéGear(LiveCasters sucks) then that would be sending them mail. Though mafia players always seem to forget this option exists, but still coming up with Dragonite should be harder than realising the existence of it smogon PMs... As for it not being the police guy, that doesn't matter, who ever you talked to in a way that ended up kidnapping them the syndicate will assume that guy is working for your goal now, the Dragonite should be reason enough to convince anyone to join your cause tbh.

Either way, at least send a smaller, more stealthy Pokemon next... Or you know attach a message to it... And talk your actions through with Rediamond(main reason I have twice the PMs as most is because I try to confirm my plans a lot)

Yes, I will do that next time. I just had the idea of the Dragonite at the beginning of the Mewtwo Pokemon movie. I was thinking of that kind of invitation. And I was under the impression that things were supposed to go through the game masters, so that the world could actually function properly, but on talking with Rediamond, I guess not. Oh well, lesson learnt.

I'm p sure that Dragonite delivered invitation letters... I don't think most people speak dragonite.

Clarification: if you are going somewhere or talking to someone face to face, I want to have a record. The game also assumes most trainers have a phone/Pokegear that would allow you to talk to other users via iRC or PM. I apologize for this confusion, and would like to reiterate that this is a beta. Things are still getting sorted out that need to be clarified.

I just remembered that I get a discount at the shop, if anyone wants to take advantage of it. I'm not sure how much it is, but if you're strapped for cash then tell me.

Another thing I just realised was that the original idea of everyone claiming could still be of use even if we don't have the standard system. If the everyone 'claims' win conditions then someone (being me, the only clean person) could look for any mistakes. It would be an easy way for us to find a mafioso or two, which we could then gang up on and get rid of quickly.

A recommendation to everyone: bring all your Pokemon on the trip. I'm guessing Red is about to pull something weird out there, like throwing Pokemon at us, and I think we'd need everyone.
