I'm surprised Gastrodon is hanging in there despite the rise in grass types like Verizon.

with the new boosted storm drain it's one of the best checks to rain teams, and it's immune to sandstorm.

...At least until Ludicolo drops in and wrecks it. Or at least until you switch to Chandelure and lock it in and then Chandelure gets killed by that Surf and then your opponent immediately switches Politoad out because they know you have Chandelure because they saw it in the team preview so you had to jack your team up with fire weaknesses to make them think you were using it with Flash Fire so you don't have Heatran so you can't use it to counter 90% of the metagame but at least you have Gastrodon so you're k.

I just got into Gen 5 battles, you gaiz. Gastrodon keeps getting pooped on by Sub Gyrados and Shell Break/Calm Mind. And Ferrothorn, because Ferrothorn is a beast. Instead of Toxic and Surf/Water Pulse, though, at least now I can use Scald and Clear Smog for some fun >:)
