I created this thread to collect all terms and phrases that can't be translated to German. So if you come across any words and you don't know how to say it in German just post it here. I plan on collecting them and writing an extra article where these words are explained in German.

I'll start with:

- hazards/entry hazards
- spinblocking
- weather war ("Wetterkrieg" works, but it doesn't look right/good imo)

there is no really good translation for these words, so we use them in english too.

If I got that right you want to explain these words so we can use them in the german translations.
Isn't there an article already which does that (http://www.smogon.com/bw/articles/bw...n_dictionary)?
Wouldn't it be better to just translate this article and maybe add a few words?

Yeah, this would be a very good solution. I might start on translating itn tomorrow. I can also look in some german forums if there are any good translations, but either case translating the article would be fine.

I'd translate entry hazards as with the german attack name for
spikes "Stachler" as it is used in german forums. So entry hazards
would be translated like: "Attacken wie Stachler". I still think that entry hazard would still work and that german would understand, but to me it seems wrong.

Spinblocking is also used in german so don't translate it.

I wouldn't translate weather war 'cause "Wetterkrieg" oder
"Wetterkampf" seems wrong to me.
