Ok, I found this forum through searching to see if anybody has attempted this before, and couldn't find anybody that has atleast posted online about it. What I'm attempting is completely batshit insane, and I've already had trouble with it.

Other than pokeballs. No items whatsoever can be used, in or out of battle. I'm posting this after I've already beat misty. I've lost friends (RIP Sigur, Rise, and all 4 Fun.s) but, none of my friends care/are hardcore about pokemon, so I needed somewhere to brag. I'll attempt to keep you guys posted on what happens, I can't write, so I'll just kinda tell you progress :/ sorry

Ok, so I'll give more detail on what's going on. And add another rule: gift pokemon count as a catch. So if I go into a town and get a gift pokemon, I can't catch anything there, if I catch something somewhere then receive a gift pokemon, I have to release it.

Right now I'm in lavender town with the first two badges. The friends I have with me are:
Drums: Level 37 Breloom
Queen: Level 33 Jynx
Mogwai: Level 19 Spearow
Ed: Level 21 Machop
Bon Iver: Level 30 Gyarados
Explosions: Level 29 Dugtrio

I'm about to start grinding mogwai and ed, and then getting everybody to 35. (Misty's gym took out two of my best friends :'()

Just lost Explosions, ironically to a selfdestructing Koffing :'(
