This album is so hypnotizing to me. Makes me question why we as human exist. It has a very eerie, yet melodic sound that I think could get people used to growling and the such. There are some beautiful singing parts that make me want to cry for some reason. And the guitarist Mikael Akerfeldt, is a master at making the guitar weep, scream, and yell all in the same song.

O_O Wall of text, but please, this album is AMAZING,

"The sun sets over BLACKWATER PARK!!!!" Favorite line in the entire hour of amazing.

"Progressive means experimental or more or less abstract. Using odd time signatures, playing the instrument differently or just looking at music from a different point of view. For example, the band Rush is a great example of a progressive band."

To further elaborate on this, I will give examples on instrumental music that shows how to play a instrument progressively.

Of course, some progressive doesn't work out well... but other progressive is really great :D
