I'll start this off. Obviously I'm a sax player, I've been playing for about ten years. I play soprano, alto, and tenor (sorry, no barry). I also play some clarinet and I can play drums (poorly). How about you guys?

I play Alto, Tenor, Trumpet, Trombone and clarinet. But I am BEST at clarinet. I've been playing for about 3 years but I've gotten REAL good. I play in our teacher's jazz group.

You guys play so many instruments! I think it's better to focus on just one, and I'm trying to decide whether to play alto or tenor when I go to university next year. I'm feeling like I probably prefer the alto at the moment, partly because I love Bird's playing so much.

doubling is almost required if you want to play in universities, unless you are phenomenal at your instrument, then it doesn't matter

Seems as if I'm the only trombone player. We're a rare breed because most people can't handle being as awesome as us without shriveling up. :)

I'm a jazz pianist. I have been playing for about nine years. I can keep a tempo on a drum kit, and I am an amateur marching snare player. I can play bass as well as Stephen Hawking can walk, but I really enjoy fooling around on it. So, I'm a pianist.

I have never heard of such a thing. I will look into it, though.

I have looked into it. I assume you're talking about the drum kit beat in the background. I could play it if I practiced a little bit.
