oh sceptile in OU...something i do often ever since putting sceptile on my favorite pokemons list...she is damn awesome(mine is female) so talking about OU sceptile sets...it need, like any other offensive pokemon, support from its team,SR,stop its counters..its funny to mention that is in fact, very hard to counter sceptile in OU because of its good offensive stats and awesome speed, and its great movepool both physical and special...now they are 3 sets that can work great in OU,specstile,SDtile and mixtile, the later 2 being more difficult to use,for me the SD sceptile set work better because of my style of play that often cause the oponent to switch out of pressure(i try to put a lot of pressure on the oponent with repetitive atacks using pokemons like lucario or sceptile itself) what allow me to get a sword dance in,the hard thing is to see what counter sceptile in OU,has i said its very hard to counter something like that, since the mixed set might carry different hidden powers, ice totally ohko most dragons, fire ohko scizor who cant just switch and 2hko with bullet punch,i wont mention eletric to ohko gyara because it already got thunderpunch, the sword dance set often carry leaf blade,EQ and rock slide, what hit most OU pretty hard(ohko swampert, salamence, gyarados and other pokemons after SD and of course, outspeed all of those) and we know the power all those sets carry, the specs set can only be stoped by the likes of blissey or snorlax, blissey can only paralyze sceptile and little else, snorlax can ohko with different powerful moves and base 110 atack, but got less defensive power compared to blissey, the leech seed set can stop blissey and snorlax fun,but its more easy to counter then the other 3 since it lack the same power they carry,in short sceptile can be good or bad in OU depending on the support its team can give,or if you get a SD on a switch, just watch out for scizor, latias and probaly scarfgengars.
