While it seems a bit oxymoronic, people who play this tier are going to do so to win (usually), just like any other tier. So, how about we start posting sets? I have offered a working tier list here:
http://www.smogon.com/forums/group.p...cussionid=3175 Keep in mind this has not even been looked over by anyone with authority let alone approved, so it is highly subject to change. I would like to start the discussion off with a few sets of my own.
Farfetch'd @ Choice Band
252 Att 252 Spe 4 HP Adamant
- Brave Bird
- Return
- U-Turn
- Quick Attack
Wallbreaker (lol). Brave Bird and Return are for STAB, Quick Attack is priority and U-Turn is so you can run away when something threatens you. Just make sure you set the happiness to 255. Pairs well with the next Pokemon, Luvdisc.
Luvdisc @ Choice Specs
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 HP Modest
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Swift
- HP [Grass] / HP [ Electric]
Luvdisc is already fast enough to outrun most NC pokemon with max speed, hence modest over timid. Luvdisc almost reaches 300 SpA after Choice Specs boost, which is pitiful for a max SpA modest pokemon, even in NC. Because of this, Luvdisc works well as a late-game sweeper once your opponent's special walls have been weakened enough. Pairs well with Farfetch'd who can weaken walls for Luvdisc to revenge.
Now it's your turn community! How can you make the worst Pokemon in the game competitively viable? Or at least enough that they are used effectively against Pokemon their own size?
