If Smogon University had a real band, we would be it. Everyone who plays some kind of instrument is welcome here. This is the group where you can discuss instruments, performances, or just music in general if you decide so. To begin with, I believe it best to introduce ourselves with a bit of our own musical history.

As a sophomore in high school, I have been playing the trombone for about five years now. I play tenor trombone in the marching and concert bands, as well as bass bone in the top jazz band, which is a nationally renowned ensemble. I am interested in becoming a drum major during the marching season next year, as well as extending my musical career throughout high school and possibly beyond.

I have played trumpet for about three years, at the Concert band in my school. My try outs for Jazz band are coming up, so I am preparing a lot for them. I probably will not take this into a professional career, but sometimes I think that I might make a band with my friends and play keyboard (I play piano as well).

I play the piano since I was about 7, and though I don't find too much free time, I sometimes find some time to relax and alter some random music. It's fun!

Tuba and Quad Drums. Yep, I've played those instruments ever since 6th Grade.

Drum Corps I played Contra (just a Tuba really) for two years.

I have played trumpet for my school band for about 6 years now. I don't play too much out of school but I really enjoy it. We perform concerts and march at football games and parades.

I've played piano since I was 5 (12 years now) I had 1 performance at Carnegie Hall, but that's it really.

Been playing piano since I was 4 (In the UK). Got 127 (Merit) on my grade 8 Piano exam. About to do my diploma in December.

Violin, got merit in grade 4. Then Quit XD. But I still play if I have the time, for fun =)
