With the removal of Claydol from the format, there's been a pretty dramatic rise in the number of drawing engines based on Supporters rather than dedicated Pokemon. Notably, Cyrus's Conspiracy lets you search for a Supporter, so decks using Cyrus can pull Supporter draw cards as easily as a normal deck pulls an Uxie. So on that note, what cards have been used as Supporters to get yourself a refreshed hand or additional cards?
Engineer's Adjustments - Discard an Energy card from your hand. Then, draw 4 cards.
While it can't go in many decks, since a lot rely on having very thin energy lines, it shines in certain decks. In particular, decks such as Rhyperior Lv.X, Lanturn P, Feraligatr P, and the like that run more than 10 or so Energy can really captialize on this card. A bonus when using it with Cyrus - since Cyrus also searches for an Energy at the same time, you're guaranteed to have one in your hand!
Professor Oak's New Theory - Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw 6 cards.
Think Professor Elm, basically. It's a free hand refresh with the main opportunity cost being that it eats your Supporter for that turn. In itself, not a bad card and a decent "drop in replacement" for a deck that just needs to get rid of 2-2 Baltoy Claydol. The main downfall of PONT is in competition with another card...
Looker's Investigation - Look at your opponent's hand, then choose you or your opponent. That player shuffles his or her hand or his or her deck and draws up to 5 cards.
Looker's Investigation trades the extra card of PONT for the ability to be disruptive to the opponent if need be. Worst case, you get more information and one less card in your hand. Best case, you get to disrupt an opponent out of a combo they were about to deploy. Personally, I prefer PONT, but LI is very useful and disruptive if used at the right time.
Are there any other cards like this you guys like to use?
