AAI is coming out in America February 16th, 2010 and on the 19th in Europe.

As you probably already know, this game is starring Edgeworth, and focuses on investigation instead of the good 'ol courtroom stuff, but that's not automatically bad. It still has the same interviewing-witnesses-and-finding-contradictions thing, but without all of the Objections! The game also features Edgeworth's new "Logic Mode", which I guess is sort of like the Psyche-Locks, except Edgeworth is just making deductions in his head from the evidence and knowledge he has.

Now, the question I want to ask first is; Do you think the focus on investigations detract from the enjoyability of the game? Or will the clever writing and the standard deep plots and characters be enough for a good Ace Attorney game?

For first it's like you said - in contains the same "interviewing-witnesses-and-finding-contradictions thing", which makes it not that different from previous games. I don't think that we'll feel any difference in playing. It's the same mechanism, just with more investigations instead of fighting in court. I don't think it's bad - I really loved the way how you played in previous games and I'm really happy that it stays like this.

Anyway I can't wait, it's something I wait for so long and in moments like this I wish to know japanese ;). I only hope it's better last Apollo Justice, which for me is the worst game from "Phoenix Wright" series.

Actually the confrontations are almost exactly like cross-examinations (the English demo even uses the term "cross-examination" to describe it), Objection!s and all. I've heard great things from people like Croik about the game.

A few days left and I am nearly DYING. ;_;

So yeah its been released and I've beat it and all. It was pretty cool but the last case bordered on anarchy for a minute there which is not Edgeworth's style (when he presented the technically illegal evidence to prove Alba was the Smuggling Ring Leader)

I've been playing this game and looking back at the last four mainstream games, wow, like a mini-side stroller combined with cross examining in awesome places. I'm only at the second "case" but otherwise, this game's pretty interesting! Debating at the same place every time kinda got boring I guess...

edit: beat it awhile ago. That Alba guy was pretty dumb. Irrelevant guy comes. NOT DONE YET! HERE EDGEWORTH EVIDENCE! YES! JUST WHAT I NEED! THIS SHOWS YOU WERE THE SMUGGLING LEADER ALBA! ... NO IT DOESN'T. ... DARN! then repeat lol. I laughed when the who the hell cares forensic guy said HOLD IT i'm not done.

Can't wait for the new one.
Looks like De Killers making an appearence too. The trailer is sweet too, that music is just... Awesome.

On the current one, it was easilly the best DS game I've played. Incredible soundtrack and great story.
But Oldbag in case 5 scarred my eyes. That costume... Ugh.

And case 5 was annoying with all the back and forth NO U arguements that went on with Alba.

I agree with the soundtrack, especially for the testimony music. It was a nice twist; it's REALLY different than the other ones for sure, but it doesn't really have a "scary" feeling to it (if I remember correctly) ... I need to go replay this game again.

But I will not play case 5. >.< Maybe case 4.
