Hi all,

I'm fairly new to smogon (joined a few weeks ago but have not since been on much at all, particularly because of my severe lack of knowledge). I joined shortly after attending nats with my boyfriend in June and before that (and for the most part, still), don't know anything about pokemon. I tried playing diamond but am having a hard time keeping my interest in it. However, I know that this site is bigger than just pokemon stuff and while I am still willing and persistent to learn, I was hoping someone would be willing to show me the ropes (easier ways of navigating, how to find things that I could be interested in, i am unaware as to how to use IRC, etc). If anyone is interested in helping a poor girl out, I'm available usually any time after 2PM EST so just message me.

Hi I think (know) the best way to get started and learn the metagame and stuff is to join smogon 101 or 202 if you want to learn the vgc metagame, u sign up every couple weeks and get a tutor. oh ya and if you want to irc chat just go to http://irc.netsplit.de/channels/deta...ifi&net=synIRC and search smogon and you'll be on in no time.
