!IMPORTANT! READ THIS. THESE ARE BASIC TOURNAMENT RULES THAT APPLY TO ALL TIERS !IMPORTANT!
All times and deadlines are set on the current Eastern Standard Time. Please plan accordingly.
Each participant MUST have the ability to battle over Pokemon Showdown or Pokemon Online. Wi-Fi optional.
Sign-ups will run for five(5) days, for each tournament starting the day AFTER the sign-up sheet has been posted. You may sign-up on the date it was posted.
Rules:- When signing up, use your FULL Smogon Username. Exactly as shown in your profile.
- There must be at least two participants signed-up to a tournament for it to start.
- You must use the team you use in the first round for the remainder of that tournament.
- Each tournament will end after two(2) weeks (Including weekends), or after a Champion/Winner has been decided, which ever comes first. If no Champion/Winner has been decided within the allotted time or within the rules parameters(See Rules #4 through #7), the Champion/Winner will be decided through which trainer has been most pro-active* in getting the battle done, or if both participants tried to get the battle completed but failed to have it within the time period, the winner will be decided over a coin toss. This also applies to non-final round battles.
- At the start(12:00AM EST) of the last three(3) days of a running tournament, if neither participant of a match has made an effort to complete their battle, the winner will be decided over a coin toss, or if a participant has not been active (logged-on to Smogon) during the past six(6) days, they are considered no-shows, and disqualified.
- At the start(12:00AM EST) of the last two(2) days of a running tournament, if neither participant of a match has made an effort to complete their battle, the winner will be decided over a coin toss, or if a participant has not been active (logged-on to Smogon) during the past four(4) days, they are considered no-shows, and disqualified.
- At the start(12:00AM EST) of the last day of a running tournament, if neither participant of a match has made an effort to complete their battle, the winner will be decided over a coin toss, or if a participant has not been active (logged-on to Smogon) during the past two(2) days, they are considered no-shows, and disqualified.
- In the event a participant disconnects from a battle with no valid reasoning and shows no effort to set up a rematch, they will be considered forfeited.
- In each tier tournament thread, there are rules specific for that meta-game. If a participant is breaking a rule you can send the replay(PS) to a judge or upload the battle video and send the battle number to a judge(Wi-Fi)**. PO uses HTML logs for their replays, so, due to the ability to open the file and change the data, they are not valid replays. You may ask a judge beforehand, if playing on PO, to referee the match***. If one participant wishes to request a judge, the opposing party must allow ample time for him/her to send a request, and both parties must select a day, within the tournament period, to have their match. Please send all requests, via PM to one of our judges, in the formats shown below.
- Judges are allowed to play in the tournaments but are not allowed to judge their own replays. (i.e A judge cheats, opposing party sends in request to authorize replay, a different judge must authorize it.)
- During the tournament, all individual match winners, please use the "Battle Results!" thread, to enter your match results.
Extra:- All sign-up sheets will be reviewed daily.
- Scoring: To score a pokemon battle you simply put in how many Pokemon were left on each side at the end of the battle. (Ex. You lost, they fainted all your pokemon, but you only fainted 2 of your opponents. The scoring would be 0-4. 4 Pokemon were on the winner's side, 0 Pokemon were on your side at the end of the battle.)
- For Participant Use: Judges are -> here <-
WINNERS: The Winner of a tournament gets to pick one(1), of a choice between;- A pokegen'd pokemon of their choice, completely customized, with his/her O.T. Name, O.T. I.D., and Hidden I.D., shiny or not shiny, for his/her Pokemon B/W or B2/W2 game (includes Event pokemon)
- An extra 20 points towards his/her trainer rating in the, Trainer Rankings, thread
